Chapter 528 Luther: Zahariel, will psionic energy be suppressed?

Port Aquila, Star Harbour Berthing Area.

Diana Boleyn's eyes gleamed as she scanned her surroundings with her sharp gaze.

The hypnotist's gaze lingered in the shadow of a wrecked aircraft, where she saw a figure wearing a faded gray cloak and holding a scepter.

Diana immediately recognized the figure walking in the shadows as Shlos.

She never expected to encounter Shlos.

Despite having just killed a powerful brain-eater, Diana knew that Sloth was not someone she could kill.

"Combat Hypnosis" will immediately become ineffective once it poses a direct threat to the target.

The "hypnotist" only wanted to delay Shlos's escape until reinforcements arrived.

From the information and battle reports issued by the Black Emperor, she knew that once Sloth was lurking in this world, he would be a considerable threat.

Diana did not launch an attack; instead, she raised her hand and placed it on the runes of her suit, activating the optical camouflage cloak.

Her suit was personally designed for her by Malevolus.

The set is based on the female chieftain type, maintaining outstanding mobility while abandoning the dual-wielding of giant scythes and power swords.

The optical camouflage cloak, combined with the shield-weaving technology of the space dwarves, greatly enhances the ability to conceal one's movements, making it difficult to lock onto.

At the same time, the non-evolvable modules of the female chieftain were replaced, and a personal adaptive evolution system was adopted.

Diana pressed the throat communicator and whispered.

"Sloth spotted, requesting backup!"

She captured images of the divination box embedded in the mask and tagged it in the tactical network.

Diana ran at full speed; the speed of the "hypnotist" far surpassed that of ordinary people.

Even after being strengthened, the senior generals of the Sun Auxiliary Army could not match her speed.

The "hypnotist" rapidly closed the distance between himself and Sloth, and within ten seconds, the distance was within thirty meters.

Unaware of what was happening, the optical camouflage cloak completely concealed the presence of the black armor suit.

He was equally unaware of his parasitic eye and evil will.

The hypnotist's spirituality spread to Shlos, taking control of his evil mind.

The "hypnotist" created a psychological blind spot in Sloe's mind, leaving her completely hidden in the shadows and in a conscious dead end.

The "hypnotist" walked past the ship's crew without them being able to see her, but Diana cautiously avoided getting too close to Shlos.

She knew that her "psychological invisibility" was simply an elimination of her presence, placing her in a blind spot of attention.

Once the interaction intensifies, exposure will become inevitable.

The "hypnotist" could sense the powerful evil will of Shloth, second only to a handful of others such as Lord Nimrod, Malena Scala, Alsena Dunn, and Thomas.

She will be discovered immediately if there is any accidental contact.

The newly appointed Inspector Schloss darted swiftly through the shadows.

He originally intended to attack Aquila Port, plunder its resources, and build his own spaceship.

He sent out all his servants to gather resources.

Now, he gradually feels that things are slipping out of his control.

His servants did not return on time, and more and more enemies appeared.

He decided to find a place to hide first and look for an opportunity to leave.

The roar of engines overhead went unnoticed; the foolish enemy wouldn't notice him.

Diana, following in Schloss's footsteps, looked up at the sky.

She discovered that the creatures that came to her aid were black stormbirds, but they did not belong to the Shadow of Order; they were Dark Angels.

The female captain immediately recalled that "Shadow of Order" and "Dark Angel" partially shared each other's tactical networks.

In the Stormbirds, Luther did not immediately issue the attack order. He looked at Zahariel opposite him, waiting for the results of the think tank's psionic probing.

Suddenly, Zaharel fell painfully from his seat, kneeling on one knee and convulsing.

Ugh...

"Zaharel, what's wrong?"

Luther asked in surprise, noticing that Zaharie looked very weak.

This puzzled him greatly. Zahariel was the Dark Angels' most powerful think tank, and he was the only person besides Ryan to kill the Lion Beast.

Luther helped Zaharie, who was much taller than him, to his feet. Having only undergone partial modifications, Zaharie was noticeably smaller than the other Dark Angels. Zaharie's gagging stopped after a few seconds, and he said painfully.

"Sir, that... alien... can counter... psionic energy..."

“Then don’t use your psionic powers,” Luther drew his power sword from his waist. “Let’s go down and kill the aliens like we’re hunting behemoths.”

“Yes, sir.” Zaharel drew his chainsaw sword and followed Luther toward the hatch.

The parasitic eye spun within the wriggling worms, and Inspector Sloth looked in astonishment at the warrior in black armor who leaped from the air.

How did they discover themselves?
Inspector Schloss did not stop; he swung his right arm and extended it, his scepter shooting out a necrotic beam.

A beam of corruption struck the armor of a dark angel, instantly melting the power armor.

The necrotic slime crackled and popped as it rapidly corroded Astartes' superhuman body.

A fist-sized wound suddenly appeared on the Dark Angel's chest, and the cells secreted by Lareman's organs engaged in a fierce battle with the necrotic mucus.

As he staggered, two figures swiftly passed by him.

Luther and Zahariel launched a knightly charge from both sides, their longswords tracing an arc.

Luther's power sword was faster than Zahariel's; its dazzling light tore through the tattered cloak, and a large swarm of worms was ripped apart with a loud bang.

Zaharel's Lion Sword followed closely behind; it was a powerful weapon forged from the sharp teeth of the lion-like beast he had slain.

The worms were cleaved in two by the longsword.

A blue-white light pierced through Shlos's chest, and the longsword severed the worm-man in half at the waist.

Just when Luther and Zaharie thought they had killed the evil alien, the scattered worms suddenly sprang up, like two tentacles, and grabbed at them.

The worm tentacles gripped Zaharel's helmet, and the bacteria secreted from the necrotic fluid, carrying acid, dissolved the metal at the molecular level.

The helmet seemed to dissolve like foam, revealing Zaharel's resolute face.

Just then, the two worm tentacles suddenly slipped off.

A crisp, clear female voice came through Zaharel's communication headset: "External attacks won't kill him unless you throw a grenade inside his body."

[How did she manage to suppress psionic energy?]
The worm's arm slapped against the concrete ground, leaving two deep pits.

The Parasitic Eye flashed with an evil light, and Inspector Schloss broke free from "Battle Hypnosis".

His eyes narrowed, and he suddenly raised his hand and held up the scepter.

The necrotic ray shot towards Diana's hiding place; the "Hypnotist" had anticipated being exposed while rescuing the two dark angels.

Golden "dragon scales" emerged from her body, filling the gaps between her body and the suit.

With a sharp, crackling tearing sound, the Hunter's Suit, crafted from the finest alloy, was pierced through.

The necrotic slime splattered onto the "dragon scales," instantly corroding the shimmering golden scales.

The slime continued to spread, colliding with the newly produced "dragon scales."

The hypnotist's spirituality is rapidly depleted, and layers of "dragon scales" are constantly being generated.

Zaharel's eyes flickered as he saw the worm-like arms wrapped around Luther's waist, and the power armor dissolving.

The think tank's gaze passed through the tattered, necrotic cloak, to swarms of worms.

He saw inside the alien's body clusters of enormous worms, unlike their external appearance, and the evil energy enveloping them.

Zaharel's chest felt like it was on fire, every bone and muscle in his body ached, and a bone-chilling cold swept over his entire body.

[She's right, the alien can only be killed from within.]
Ignoring the pain coursing through his body, Zahariel spoke calmly to Luther.

"My lord, I will create an opportunity for you."

He sensed that unleashing a psionic attack would lead to a painful death, but he had no other choice now.

Just as Zahariel was about to launch a desperate psionic attack, he suddenly saw a flashing teleportation beam.

Zaharel saw a figure taller than the Lion King emerge from the light.

[Lord Nimrod! ]
The "Corrupted Baron" raised his right hand, and spirituality spread, an invisible force surging forth.

The wriggling clumps of insects, their will to stretch and extend was "distorted".

Inspector Schloss was horrified to discover that his body was uncontrollably coalescing into a sphere.

Ninglu infused the power boxing gloves with spiritual energy, and the extremely viscous, transparent liquid enveloped the wriggling worm layer by layer.

Luther felt the worm's tentacles loosen, and then he saw a huge piece of amber binding the worm sphere inside. He looked at Zahariere with a puzzled expression.

The think tank interpreted his meaning from his eyes: "Didn't you say that psionic energy would be suppressed?"
