Warhammer: Black Emperor

Chapter 560: Sloth, who utterly thrashed Alpharis, was nothing special.

Chapter 560: Sloth, who utterly thrashed Alpharis, was nothing special.
Zo Sahar, the company commander of the Eighth Army Corps, seemed to have returned to his childhood.

When he was in Terra prison, he would cautiously huddle in the corner of his cell.

At that time, his only happiness was in his half-awake state, sketching out the figure of Lord Ninglu based on other people's descriptions.

He was clad in black armor and followed Lord Ninglu's retreating figure as he charged toward the alien.

Just like now.

Following his fighting instincts and exceeding his meticulous calculations, Zo Sahar, the leader of the Ultramarines First Chapter, Glenn Wosotto, fired explosives at the aliens from behind cover.

The wind howled as he swung his lightning claws, colliding with the construct's metal tendrils.

The surge of adrenaline caused his pale skin to flush slightly, and Master Claw suddenly lunged forward.

He leaped up like a raptor, heading towards the gaping maw of sharp teeth that suddenly opened within the structure.

A dazzling field of electric light tore apart the construct's sharp fangs and gaping maw together.

[I must catch up with Lord Ninglu.]
The moment Zo Sahar landed, he charged forward.

Urian Bendreg parried the tentacle's bony blades with his sword, the piercing screech drowned out by the rushing wind.

He saw the Mark III Steel Power Armor, the Scarlet Son's left shoulder tinged with blood, a skull, and black wings.

[Is Master Claw really that strong?]
Zo Sahar saw two disgusting aliens, who were nearly three meters tall.

He had two arms, and it seemed that he also had two legs under his black hooded robe.

His hands were completely covered in maggots, one hand tightly gripping a corroded scepter, and where the human face was, there was only a bunch of writhing worms.

Two purple figures each rushed towards a worm-like creature.

Lucius, wielding a single sword, charged toward the worm-man, the image of Lord Akulduna being instantly defeated flashing through his mind.

The "fighter" gripped his longsword tightly with both hands and rammed into the scepter enveloped in emerald energy.

The moment they clashed, the "fighter" was forced to retreat several steps.

The "fighter" was not afraid but rather pleased. Lord Ninglu had said that the strength of Shros varied, and the opponents he encountered were still within his control.

The "fighter" switched to wielding his sword in one hand and charged at Shlos.

“Your time has come, you lump of flesh.” The Sloth Overseer’s speechpiece uttered broken but recognizable low Gothic words, its hissing sound like it was filled with slime and decay. “I will enjoy your flesh and blood.”

The emerald energy flashed again, and with a hiss, the necrotic beam passed over the spot where Lucius had just stood, turning a section of the wall into dust within the beam.

The "fighter" darted left and right, leaping and rolling, and in an instant arrived in front of Shlos.

A piercing clang rang out as the scepter blocked the ornate sword.

"Meat chunks, stupid."

The swarm of worms lunged at the "fighter," the necrotic solution crackling and melting the power armor in an instant.

Just as the Sloth Inspector was about to enjoy the non-rotten, unpalatable piece of meat, he suddenly discovered that the meat's body had not been torn apart.

The Fighter's body weakened the effects of the supernatural force, and he clenched his fist and slammed it into the worm-man's head.

With a thud, the worms fell to the ground.

A perfect smile appeared on Lucius's handsome face.

[A punch to the head, surprisingly satisfying!]
As Lucius pondered, he saw two golden beams of light fall from the sky, enveloping the worm-man in amber.

Lord Nimrod.

I offer my Lord what he desires, and he will surely be pleased.

Perhaps, I will soon receive the next gift of power.

But... I don't think I've fully mastered the power of a "fighter" yet; I still prefer using a sword.
As Lucius pondered, he couldn't help but glance at the other "fighter".

Lord Akulduna's reforged armor has removed the excessive gold decorations that distinguish it from those of the emperor's sons.

If Lord Nimrod had not forbade it, he and Akulduna would have inscribed patterns such as the crown and wings of the Shadow of Order on their armor.

Akulduna's purple armor was intact, and Athena was still reforging it. He held Timur in his right hand, and a dozen maggots fell from his left fist with a crackling sound.

Lord Akulduna is still stronger than me.

Whether in the past or as a "fighter".
Lucius clenched his fist and charged toward the next Schloss.

As Zo Sahar passed by Akulduna and Lucius, he saw two golden lights descending from the sky and quickened his pace.

Then, he saw Luther, who was as tall and strong as Astartes, and roared.

Zo Sahar's ears were ringing, and he paused in his tracks.

He stared blankly at Luther, who charged at the worm-man like a space wolf or a warhound.

With a bang, he knocked a standing worm-man apart.

Golden light fell from the sky, and Luther, without stopping, crashed into another worm-man.

But the worm-man was not as still as the previous one; he moved swiftly, wielding his long staff.

Just as Zo Sahar regained his mobility, he heard a loud bang.

His superhuman senses allowed him to perceive the power of the attack.

[Luthor is so powerful.]
The "barbarian" felt the surging power within him, and he let out an excited "howl" as he swung his sword.

The evil will of the Destroyer of Sloth faltered slightly, but then recovered, and he let out an angry, wicked howl.

The "savage's" thoughts faltered, and his eyes lost focus.

Immediately, the "barbarian's" exceptional mental strength brought him to his senses, and he saw Shloth's staff-wielding arm rapidly retract.

His other arm suddenly grew larger and slapped against his chest.

The "barbarian" was flung away, the slime melting his black terracotta armor, and his powerful body crackled and popped.

The Destroyer of Sloth raised his staff, which shone with emerald light. Just as he was about to point it at the chunk of flesh, a greatsword that shone with the light of dawn swept towards him.

Zoe Sahar could see clearly that Thierry Vieira sheathed his twin swords back at his waist, and as he raised his hand, a gleaming two-handed greatsword materialized out of thin air.

The "Dawn Knight" wielded the "Sword of Dawn," each attack accompanied by a purifying effect.

Large clumps of worms splattered and fell, charred black as they hit the ground. A golden light descended from the sky, and amber sealed the wounded Sloth Destroyer inside.

Luther, who had been rescued, looked at Thierry with envy.

He must have received even more power from our Lord. I must strive to be steadfast in my loyalty to our Lord and receive even more blessings in return.
As he was pondering, he suddenly saw a dozen or so worm-men rushing towards Thierry, and he quickly spoke up to warn them.

"Be careful."

The "Dawn Knight" calmly plunged the "Sword of Dawn" into the ground in front of him.

The giant sword then disintegrated, turning into fragments of light like the dawn.

Countless, densely packed fragments formed a shimmering and violent hurricane that swept across the surroundings.

The terrifying, destructive strike of "Light Storm" engulfed all of the dozen or so Sloth Destroyers.

The bodies of the Sloth Destroyers disintegrated instantly, and clumps of worms were torn to shreds.

The "Dawn Knight" desperately manipulated the "Storm of Light" to its center, and the four Sloth Destroyers, along with the slime inside their bodies, were instantly torn apart by the overwhelming fragments of light, and their evil will was purified along with them.

The "Dawn Knight" felt a significant depletion of his spiritual energy and knew that he would not be able to condense the "Sword of Dawn" again in a short period of time.

He calmly drew his twin swords from his waist, looked at the scattered golden light, and wrapped the offering he was giving to the Black Emperor.

Zo Sahar passed through a series of amber cells and finally saw Lord Nimrod's figure.

He was about to rush forward and follow the adults into battle.

Suddenly, a worm-like creature wrapped in a cloak emerged from the shadows, skimming along the ground.

Master Claw swung his arms angrily, his lightning claws screeching as they slammed into the scepter enveloped in emerald energy.

With a crisp clang, the force field shattered, and the lightning claws snapped.

Zo Sahar's eyes were filled with astonishment; the worm-men they were fighting were actually so strong.

Zo Sahar was thrown into the air, and he saw the alien's strange weapon aimed at him.

He knew that evil energy could penetrate his power armor.

Zo Sahar sighed regretfully, then suddenly a silvery-white light shone in his eyes.

He stared wide-eyed at Lord Ninglu in front of him, the sword spinning and piercing through the worm-man's body.

Lord Ninglu raised his left arm again, and the power gauntlet flashed with light, binding the worm-man in the amber prison.

The blood-red necklace wrapped around Ninglu's right little finger shimmered with light as his spirituality rapidly recovered.

He used "imprisonment" to gain a total of fifty-two Shros.

Nimrod sensed a spiritual restoration and turned his gaze toward Schloss, who was approaching.

Even while maintaining the third level of Terema's mental state, he could still sense a powerful and evil will.

Ninglu raised his arms, simultaneously unleashing a roar from his twin-barreled bomb gun and the plasma gun crafted by Peturabo.

The explosions roared, and plasma beams flashed.

Two maggots landed, and the wound healed instantly.

Nimrod flapped his golden wings, and Shros moved accordingly.

The "Corrupted Baron" bulged his left arm, twisted his waist and back, and swung his arm, unleashing a punch that resembled a cannonball.

Rumble!
The clanging of fists and canes produced a loud bang that caused a slight pain in the ears of the Astartes.

The result was decided in an instant upon impact; the scepter pushed Shlos backward.

[Sloth, who knocked Alpharis's Pale Spear down with a single blow, is not all that powerful.]
The "Corrupted Baron" took a step and stood before Shlos.

Shlos dared not confront the black-armored giant any longer; as the maggots wriggled, his arm instantly swelled up.

The "Corrupted Baron's" eyes flashed, and Shlos's arm suddenly veered off course, the necrosis scepter that was originally aimed at Nimrod's side smashing into his abdomen instead.

[Huh?] The "Corrupted Baron" was originally "twisted," causing the attacking arm to tighten.

The powerful Shloth was not fully driven by his extraordinary abilities, but rather his direction was "distorted".

The "Corrupted Baron" flicked his wrist, the tip of his sword pointing at the scepter.

Shloth felt his arm go out of control, and saw the sword tip thrusting towards him. He dared not take it head-on. The worms on his body trembled, and the scepter suddenly contracted.

Then, he saw the gleaming gauntlets rise up and quickly retreated.

Shlos then saw that the boxing gloves hit the ground, but strangely, they made no sound.

Just as he was wondering what was going on, it suddenly flew forward at high speed.

With a single punch, the "Corrupted Baron" channeled his burst of spiritual energy into the earth, outlining a circle.

As he stood up, the "geometric" shape guided by his spirit was swiftly dragged to his front.

A dazzling blue-white light burst forth instantly, and Shlos hurriedly blocked it.

Amidst the deafening crash, Shlos felt an intense discomfort, as if he had lost control of his body, his worm-like arms constantly slipping away.

What struck him as even more bizarre was that no matter how he moved, he couldn't create any distance between himself and the black-armored giant.

His strength was far inferior to that of the giant; with each impact, worms were destroyed by his force.

His space for expansion and contraction became smaller and smaller, confined to a narrow space by an invisible prison.

The spirit of the "Corrupted Baron" burst forth, and the rotating "geometric" rings prevented Schloss from retreating.

The "twist" restricts the worm's stretching and extension, making Sloth like a trained servant controlled by a program.

Amid a series of explosions, Shlos's worm arm shattered, and the Necrotic Scepter crashed to the ground.

With a turn of the sword, blue and white specks of light exploded within Schloss's body like stars.

Ninglu raised his power boxing gloves and pushed them forward.

The flowing, extremely viscous, transparent liquid enveloped the clumps of worms in layers.

Nimrod stared at Sloth in the amber cell and curled his lip.

[Sloth, who utterly thrashed Alphares, is nothing special.]
