Warhammer: Black Emperor
Chapter 564 Guilliman, get the stretcher team ready.
Chapter 564 (Third Update, Seeking Monthly Tickets) Guilliman, get the stretcher team ready...
In the fourth layer of the "Disordered Kingdom," Ning Lu listened to Wilshire's report and thought to himself.
[Unexpectedly, the AI of the Killing Song is quite...human, it actually likes to listen to music.]
Yes, Wilshere's approach was very effective; he capitalized on his interests.
Once the "contract" is signed, he cannot break it.
The "contract" established by the "notary" cannot be violated by a Sequence 5, and even if a Sequence 4 demigod tries to forcibly breach the contract, he will have to pay a considerable price.
While Killing Song's AI is intelligent, it clearly won't exceed Sequence 5 and will be bound by the "contract".
With a thought, Ning Lu returned to the real world.
The communication bead in my ear buzzed, and then the call connected to Arsène Dunn's voice.
“My Lord, we have arrived at Terra’s orbit, and the Marker has prepared a welcoming ceremony for you and Lord Omega.”
The black Skyhawk shuttle slowly landed on the tarmac at Lionsgate Starport.
The servo skull, adorned with colorful ribbons, emitted a synthesized sound from a sound array.
"Lord Nimrod, the Primarch of the 'Shadow of Order,' the King of Vostronia... the Ruler of the Triken system..."
"Welcome, Lord Nimrod. The Son of the Emperor, Primarch of the 11th Legion, has come to your side."
"Praise be to Lord Nimrod, who saved his brother Omega from the clutches of the evil alien."
"..."
The voices praising Omega also rang out.
"Welcome, Lord Omega, son of the Emperor."
"The Primarch of the Twentieth Legion, he is the seventeenth returning imperial heir."
Upon hearing this, Ninglu glanced almost imperceptibly at Alpharis, who was holding the pale spear, and a smile involuntarily crept onto his lips.
Alpharis, the first Primarch to be recovered, unknown to the public.
Omega, however, is no longer the original entity that was last discovered publicly.
The 20th Army Corps, which only made its first public appearance during the "Third Randan War," was thus prematurely exposed to the public eye.
Nimrod recalled that Alpharis sought out Ryan, who was commanding the war against Randan, in order to retrieve Omega and acknowledge Ryan's views on the secrets.
Prior to this, the Alphas operated within the Imperium's secret front under the names of other legions' Astartes.
Nimrod then thought of Horus Lupecal, the son of the publicly acknowledged first son.
Horus, I've at least saved you some face.
Omega appears to you under the name Alphareis, but you are completely unaware of this and think that you have found Omega yourself.
Little did they know that Alpharis had found his brother over a hundred years ago.
As Ninglu pondered, his gaze naturally fell upon the "ordinary" Astartes in the crowd.
He keenly sensed Alpharis's hidden excitement.
He was thrilled to be reunited with his twin brother, but he had to hide his emotions.
[Now, Omega is Omega, and Alpharex is Alpharex.]
Omega's gaze met Alpharis's in the crowd, and in that instant, they both knew that the other was their missing half.
Omega's body was throbbing, but he struggled to suppress the urge to approach his twin brother.
In the exchange of glances, he understood his twin brother's intention to conceal his identity.
Omega was excited, but also uncomfortable. His instinct to hide made him unaccustomed to being exposed to so many eyes.
Makado, holding the staff of the Aquila, walked up to Nimrod and Omega.
He reassured Omega, who was feeling uncomfortable about being exposed to the public eye.
"Omega, welcome back to the Empire."
"Your father will be happy to see you return."
“I hope to see him as soon as possible.” As Omega spoke, his gaze swept over his twin brother.
“You will,” Makado said. “I’ve also prepared a celebration for you.”
He then turned to Ninglu.
"I want to greet you, Ninglu."
"You rescued Omega from the aliens, preventing him from suffering any further torment."
As he boarded the car specially prepared for him, Omega, already accustomed to the welcoming crowds of imperial citizens lining the streets, waved to them, eliciting deafening cheers.
The vehicle slowly started moving, with colorful ribbons fluttering in the wind.
The people of the Empire offered Ninglu a cheer that was no less enthusiastic than the return to the original body.
"The conqueror of the aliens, the evil aliens will eventually be purified by Lord Nimrod."
"The eternal victor of the enemy of mankind, Lord Nimrod, will surely win the war."
"..."
After a long journey, the vehicle stopped in front of the ceremonial hall.
Makado walked over to Ninglu and Omega and whispered something.
"Ninglu, preparations are complete. The War Council will convene tomorrow."
Ning Lu entered the hall and immediately felt the burning gazes of the imperial nobles.
The Navigator families, such as Vysher and Othello, acquired immense wealth and prestige through their cooperation with Lord Nimrod, making them the envy of many nobles.
The existence of the Shadow of Order allows the Navigator family to respond more effectively in many aspects, such as crisis management.
The Drake family's position in the Sun's auxiliary forces has become increasingly solidified, with Patton commanding over ten million auxiliary troops.
Dishes meticulously prepared by the imperial chefs were served one after another. Nimrod savored the specialty fruit from the agricultural world, its flesh hollowed out by the palace chefs, leaving only the hard outer shell.
They stuff it with minced beef and fish, season it with sea salt and several spices, and then roast it repeatedly over a fire.
Ninglu put a piece of meat into his mouth, and the delicious meat with its wonderful aroma blended perfectly with the sweet and sour taste of the fruit.
He picked up a glass of wine, swirled it slightly, and looked at Alpharis, who was standing around the guards.
His gaze would occasionally meet Omega's, then immediately look away.
After the banquet ended, Ninglu discovered that Omega, the star of the banquet, had disappeared from everyone's sight.
Alpha and Omega must have already found a secluded corner and are eagerly starting to communicate.
No one knows the palace better than Alpharis.
After discovering the loopholes in the palace's defenses, he infiltrated the Imperial Guards' defenses. It was only after killing the Imperial Guards and finding the spears easy to use that he developed a liking for this weapon.
The following day, Ninglu stepped into the Golden Palace for the first time in person.
As soon as he entered the hall, he saw Horus enthusiastically introducing Omega to the expressionless Peturabo.
“Nimrod,” Ruth’s annoying voice rang out, “are the wizarding brats failing and need to call for help?”
Ning Lu sat down without even glancing at him.
"Do I need to remind you? Your Wolf Lord's achievements are far behind those of my Reaper Lord."
Ruth snorted. "Fenris has a saying, 'The hunter who survives to the end is the winner.'"
"I also have something to tell you: enjoy your last moments wearing your cloak."
"I will never lose!" Ruth's psionic projection stared fiercely at Ninglu.
Ninglu ignored him. He noticed that the Mars Foundry Director, after entering the palace, had his gaze linger on him for a second behind the mask.
Golden light shone as the Emperor arrived at the venue with Constantine Waldo.
Constantine saw that Omega and Alpharese had the exact same face, and couldn't help but recall that scene from many years ago.
For the first time, someone broke through the Imperial Guard's defenses and entered his master's landing field.
The first failure left an indelible mark on his mind, signifying a breach in his defenses and the possibility that someone might threaten his master.
"Welcome to Omega! I hear you're adapting very well."
Ninglu understood the meaning behind Huang Laohan's words: Omega might be the only Primarch who did not need to be taught by others, and his twin brother Alpharis had taken on this responsibility.
“Father.” Omega rose and bowed solemnly once again.
The Emperor smiled and nodded, gesturing for Omega to sit down, before looking at Ninglu.
"Ninglu, you propose convening a war council to launch a decisive battle against the aliens."
"I'd like to hear your plan."
“Tarks is the headquarters of the alien invasion empire,” Ninglu replied, already prepared, knowing that Old Man Huang hoped to end the war as soon as possible.
"Winning the final battle will annihilate the main force of the Xenomorphs, while the remaining Xenomorphs in other star systems will only be able to eke out a living."
"If the main force of the aliens is not defeated, the Empire's territory will continue to be attacked, and more and more humans will be enslaved."
The emperor's eyes gleamed with golden light. "What do you need?"
"Over 150,000 Astartes, with two Primarchs assisting."
The Astartes originally had more than 300,000 troops participating in the Battle of the Tarks, but now that they have launched the battle nearly ten years ahead of schedule, they need more support to avoid significant losses to the Shadow of Order.
At least 150,000 troops from other legions should be mobilized.
As soon as Ning Lu finished speaking, Omega couldn't wait to speak up.
“Father, I am willing to assist Ninglu.”
He spoke with Alpharis and they reached a consensus that Ninglu was the best candidate for the position of head coach.
This war presents them with a good opportunity to express their gratitude and support.
“Alright,” the Emperor nodded in agreement, his gaze sweeping over the Primarchs. He saw Ruth’s undisguised longing, the gleam hidden beneath Mortarion’s mask, and Dorn’s calm yet resolute face before finally speaking.
"Ryan, Robert, assist Nimrod in defeating the Turks' aliens."
"My lord, I will obey your will."
Ninglu looked at Ryan, [As expected, Ryan, as the original protagonist of the Randan War, you wouldn't be absent.]
“As you wish,” Guilliman greeted Nimrod, confident of victory, having fought alongside his key brother in the Fearless.
Nimrod smiled in response, but he knew that the Turks' Shloth was even more powerful than Bal Savor's, and Guilliman was clearly no match for him.
[Guilliman, get the stretcher team ready...]
Hmm... the Guard of Honor?
Ninglu thought for a moment, "At least the war plan will be more complete."
Moreover, there were four Primarchs participating in the Battle of the Turks, well, maybe five.
This depends on whether AlphaRes and Omega are considered as a single entity or two separate entities.
One psionic projection after another left, and Nimrod noticed that only Fernus Manus remained.
A voice as heavy as lead rang out, "Ninglu, I have something to say to you."
Omega glanced at Fernus and the Mars Foundry Director before leaving with Macardo to attend the welcoming celebration prepared for him.
Mars Foundry Director stood up, his mechanical tentacles swaying as he walked toward Ninglu.
