Chapter 582 The Stolen Books, Tzeentch's Plot, Obstacles to Obtaining the Ouroboros

870.M30.

The bridge of the Falcon in the Galamandro system.

Yolin stared into the void with his dark eyes. His pupils were not the amber irises commonly found in wolves, as if the mutation effect of the Kennis Spiral had had no effect on him whatsoever.

Like his other commanders in Dalian, Yolin was already old before he received the Wolf King's Spiral application.

Only a very small number of them are fortunate enough to undergo all the remodeling surgeries, because they are too old to endure such a severe ordeal when they begin receiving transplants.

But they were all ready to die; they were Ruth's Brotherhood.

When Ruth was still considered a mortal, they were with him through thick and thin in the harsh land of Fenris.

Therefore, they were assigned to the last of the Zhudalian units—the Thirteenth Company, which was also the closest and most glorious unit to the Gene Primarch.

[I will win for Russ.] Jorin's cloudy eyes, which had been drinking mead all year round, were fixed on his prey—Fashi's Hunter-class warship.

“Oserga,” Yolin asked the captain beside him, who was wearing Mark II expeditionary power armor, “are we ready for the hunt?”

“Wolf Lord, I’ve captured him,” Oserga said sarcastically. “The red priests of the Mechanicus told us that their calculations show the Fahish shield is similar to the Empire’s Void Shield.”

"But our hunting experience tells us that the energy required to penetrate a shield is astronomical."

"This time, I will send six boarding forces to completely shut down their shields."

"Move." Yolin stared at the target. The wolf pack had wasted a lot of ammunition in the previous hunt and had lost more than a dozen ships.

"Give all the power to the engine, don't let it run." With Oserga's command, the floor began to shake.

"fire!"

"Boarding torpedoes, prepare."

Jolin watched as the Falcon and the other Wild Wolf warships surrounded their prey, their cannons unleashing a barrage of laser beams that relentlessly bombarded the shields in front of them.

The Hunter-class warship made a spinning maneuver to try and shake off the wolf pack's hunt.

Oserga stared at the data stream jumping on his helmet and gave the order: "Action!"

Jolin gripped the railing with both hands, searching for the torpedo's trail in the air.

His cloudy eyes had just locked onto the burning tail flames when they flew to the vicinity of the target.

Yolin gripped the railing tightly, waiting for the moment of victory when the torpedo hit its target.

The torpedo was torn to pieces in the next instant, scattered in the void like trash.

Yolin released the railing weakly.

"The Fahish defensive array regeneration speed far exceeds the Imperial Void Shield's restart speed."

Oserga's eyes swept across the page, glancing at the casualty figures on the tactical data page and then at the sensor data.

"Four seconds, they only took three seconds."

Jolin watched as the Hunter warship shook off the wolf pack and flew toward Mandeville.

"The conventional methods of switching sides won't work; we must adopt a completely new approach."

"What?" Oserga asked his wolf lord, puzzled.

"An object of sufficient mass, on a perfectly accelerating trajectory, rushes toward it at a sufficiently high speed, and the energy generated upon impact is enough to tear through this protective shield."

“You mean…” Oserga asked in surprise, “that our ship crashed into it?”

Yolin nodded. "That's right, modify the ram, turn your ship into an assault boat."

"Order to set sail and complete the modification before arriving at the Yeni system."

“Oserga, you must complete the transformation before you reach Yeni.”

Oserga could not foresee the consequences of carrying out this dangerous operation; he might lose his Falcon, or even the entire crew of Wolves on board.

But the wolf lord's orders must be carried out.

"Yes, my wolf lord."

At the same time that the Falcon was being modified, in the Yeni system.

The black, shadowy warships of Order flew toward the area where the Fakh warships were gathered.

They were neither attacked nor did any warships move away.

The Fahd warships had already entered the Void Hunters' firing range, but Sanchez did not issue the order to attack.

On the holographic strategy table on the bridge, the built-in communicator of the Rus Wolf Helmet rang.

"My lord, as you commanded, we falsified the readings of the Fahish ships, and they did not detect it."

The "conspirators" are watching the second of the three planets in the Yeni system as the defeated Fahish warships retreat into the system.

Because Jenny III was surrounded by orbital defense facilities such as space stations, he chose Jenny II, which had weaker defenses.

Since receiving the Black Emperor's orders, he has devised a series of plans.

"Think tanks and technical corps, working together in the simulated sanctuary, cracked the communication language used by the Fahrenheit and responded to them."

"Ether cannons, prepare to fire at the same time as the gauntlet assault boats launch," Sanchez ordered, then turned and walked toward the flight deck.

On the flight deck, Pat, who had become a Primarch Honor Guard due to his outstanding performance, was about to embark on his first mission.

A loudspeaker announced: "Commandos, board the ship!"

Pat boarded the gauntlet assault boat with the other Honor Guard members, restraint clamps pressing down on them.

As thousands of black fists flew out of the warship, twenty-five black warships and three more Relic-class warships further away lit up with colorful lights on both sides of their bows.

Rays of ethereal light shot toward sixteen targets—the bulky and cumbersome warships of the Fahrenheit.

Like all war machines, the Fahrenheit warships were much larger than their Imperial counterparts in order to accommodate the reactor-based equipment built on the Duran.

The ether beam traversed the void, leaving a trail of rainbow-colored light, and struck the thick void shield of the Fahish warship, but it passed through the defenses as if it had encountered no resistance.

The simulated sanctuary accurately predicted the timing of the impact, and within twelve minutes of the void shield shattering, the gauntlet assault boats slammed into the bulky Fahish warship.

The Fahish warship, which had been attacked by the ether, had its reactor running at full capacity, and the void shield was restored to operation in thirty-five minutes.

Inside the tunnel of the Hunter-class warship, Pat inherited a booming voice from his worker parents—they had to shout to be heard by others amidst the roaring machinery.

"The Fahish are guilty of treason for refusing the benefits of enlightenment," Pat's voice amplified by the loudspeaker, almost a roar, echoing throughout the passageway, "By the command of the Primarch, you are given death, and your property is returned to the shadow of order."

He then loudly reminded the Honor Guard members: "Follow the exercise procedures, Storm Shield."

During their voyage, the Honor Guard and the Seventh Chapter, following the orders of the Primarch, conducted live-fire exercises targeting the Fahish attack methods.

Before even arriving in the Yeni system, they knew the Fahish attack methods better than the wolves. Following Pat's command, five Order Shadows activated their generators, establishing a defense at the front line.

The scarbin-modified soldiers, as tall as Astartes, picked up their double-barreled weapons and pulled the triggers.

The jamming gun fired without making a sound, but when it hit the hissing force field, it produced a series of booming sounds.

The terrifying beam of light, which was difficult to avoid and could rearrange matter at the molecular level, turning power armor into dust, was blocked by the blue force field of the Storm Shield.

"charge!"

As the Skabins slowly reloaded, Pat activated his Thunder Hammer and led the others to charge at the Skabins.

The father told them that the enemy was equipped with individual shields and had undergone mechanical modifications, and that the generator implanted in the spine must be completely destroyed in order to kill the enemy.

Close-range powered weapons are the most effective way to strike.

boom!
Pat charged toward the sluggish scavengers, slamming his thunder hammer into their armor, which was flatter than power armor.

The thunderous explosions tore through the faint glow of the individual soldier's shield, ripping the spine into a pile of fragments.

The power sword hissed as it pierced the more rounded shoulder armor, penetrating the armor that was half mechanical and half flesh.

The powerful punch slammed into the heavy, blunt armor, knocking the skabin soldier to the ground.

The shadowy figures of order that followed sideways passed over the corpses, forming a shield wall that blocked the terrifying beams of light fired by the scarbin soldiers.

"Storm Shield!"

"charge!"

Pat roared and led the honor guard in a wave-like, cyclical advance, repeating the same actions hundreds of times during the exercise.

He took the lead and rushed into the center of the command platform.

Pat swung his Thunder Hammer, smashing down the enemy standing in front of the two-meter-high pillar in the center.

Ten hours later, on the Shadow of Reign, in the Primarch's office.

"My lord, we have successfully captured fourteen Fahrenheit warships, including eight Hunter-class destroyers," Arsena Dunn reported.

Ning Lu nodded slightly and gave the order.

"Command the technical sergeant to search for Duran's coordinates, study the Fahish Void Shield and its reactor power supply method, jamming weapons, dual-barrel molecular weapons, individual shields and power armor."

"Pharmacists and technical sergeants collaborated to study the remains of Skabin soldiers."

The fortress-class energy shield was developed to protect hive cities and is not fully compatible with warships.

Compared to a solid shield, the Void Shield is more flexible in Void combat, and it consumes less energy to restore overloaded chunks.

As warships become smaller, fortress-class energy shields become increasingly cumbersome, wasting more energy, which is more pronounced on frigates and destroyers.

Without the power supply of a punishment-class reactor, the "Shadow of Order" could not sustain this "waste."

The Fahish reactors are far less efficient than the Punishment-class reactors, but mastering the power supply method is essential for the Void Shield to function effectively.

Dual-barreled molecular weapons, individual shields, and scarbine soldier modification technology, while having obvious drawbacks, can still serve as technological reserves.

As soon as the silver-haired Primarch servant left, Ninglu heard a murmur in his ear.

He casually placed the Spear of Dionysus on the weapon rack, walked past Freddy and John, and went into the bedroom.

Nimrod drew the Sword of Val, "switched concepts," activated the "Euclidean Symbol," and with a thought, arrived in the "Land of Chaos."

After taking his seat on the throne, he spread his spirituality and touched the ever-expanding sphere of light.

[Hmm? Luther and Zaharie, but no tome.]
Ning Lu was puzzled, and a thought suddenly occurred to him.

Luther and Zahariel were swallowed by the black mist. When they came to their senses, they found that they were not kneeling on the altar, but had come to a mysterious kingdom shrouded in black mist.

They looked around and saw a majestic, blurry figure on the throne deep within the black mist, and immediately knelt down.

"My lord."

After bowing, Luther lowered his head even further.

"My lord, the scriptures of the Sirius Knights are missing."

“Two of my knights, Serafax and Bella, have gone missing. They must have stolen the tomes. I have ordered my men to hunt them down.”

[Seraphax, Bella.] Nimrod's eyes deepened when he heard these two names.

[The "Ten Thousand Eyes" battle group.]
Nimrod recalled the memories of Serafax, and how Ryan, who had awakened ten thousand years later, was bound by a Chaos artifact.

Serafax plans to possess Ryan, travel to Terra, and assassinate Old Man Huang.

His reason for doing this was that he believed the empire was beyond saving, and his way of saving humanity was to liberate the old man from the golden throne.

Serafax believed he could control the power of chaos, and judging from the name "All-Eyes" and the form of the artifact, his backers were most likely from the Tzeentch faction.

Nimrod turned his gaze to Luther, recalling the demonic form he had summoned before the event that tore Caliban apart.

The blue flames unleashed by the demon, and the ambiguous way he answered questions, clearly indicate that he is Tzeentch, and the mastermind behind it may even be Tzeentch himself.

[I'm so stupid, Luther! Tzeentch changed his plans and put Therafax in power ahead of schedule?]

Ryan has impressed a lot of people, and I was thinking of helping him out.

Tzeentch is causing trouble; obtaining the Ouroboros won't be easy for him.
“No need to blame yourself, this is not your fault.” Ninglu knew that Tzeentch was behind the trouble, and Luther was powerless to stop him.

Even if there were no Serafax, there would be others.

“Tell Urian to investigate the Terrans who were sent back to Caliban by Ryan.”

Nimrod knew that among the Terrans that Lane had repatriated, there were many Chaos believers.

Luther first used the power of chaos when he sensed their threat to Caliban.

He now suspects that Tzeentch might very well get Therafax to join them.

After all, without Luther, the rebellion was too weak.

"Follow Your will." The Black Emperor's decision not to punish him relieved Luther, but the "briber" still regretted not being able to offer a sacrifice.

With a thought, Ning Lu returned to the real world.

He had just returned to his office when the communication bead started buzzing.

After the call was connected, Alcéna's voice came through.

"My lord, the Wild Wolf Fleet has arrived in the Yeni system."
