Chapter 586 The Shadow of Order, Prospero's Hero

Chapter 586 The Shadow of Order, Prospero's Hero

The dark gray warship departed sadly from the crimson Duran.

Unlike in the past, the Space Wolves failed to turn Duran into ruins, and the industrial zone remained firmly under the control of the Shadow of Order.

The alpha wolf also failed to behead the tyrant, failing for the first time to fulfill its hunting vow.

The usual laughter and chatter were absent from the fireplace of the Nighogg.

Ogvi Ogvi Heimschluth, the wolf lord of the Third Dalian, had a few unkempt steel whiskers growing on his face, which he never grew a beard on.

Ever since he witnessed the malignant mutation, he has been plagued by nightmares, often waking up from nightmares of being turned into a wild beast.

His deep-set eyes stared at Nayut the Threader, the silver ring on his lower lip trembling, as he asked, his voice both irritable and childishly hopeful.

“If it comes from the Kennis Spiral, every wolf could be a potential candidate.” The wolf priest’s words struck everyone like ice and snow, their chill penetrating even the hearth fire.

"Wolf Lord, we should be more worried about whether Ninglu will release the footage to the public."

"His relationship with the alpha wolf has never been good."

“Those rats of Terra will definitely take the opportunity to jump out.”

“Fortunately, that’s the only thing we don’t need to worry about,” Ogilvy said wearily.

“Jorin told me that he had made a deal with the alpha wolf, that he would keep it a secret for us, and that we would offer Fenris’ creatures in return.”

"Did Yolin say how the alpha wolf is?" Nayut the Threader's words made the silent Honor Guard all look at their wolf lord.

"The alpha wolf is fine; he just took a nap."

“Ninglu dared not kill him, as the wolf pack outnumbered the men he brought.”

Ogilvy thought of Sanchez, of him wearing the Ruth Wolf Helmet, the Death Wolf Mokai Cloak, and the Kraken Sword at his waist, and his hand trembled slightly.

“If anything happens to the alpha wolf, he can’t possibly leave Duran alive.”

Ogilvy gripped the silver bowl tightly, the image of Jorin having given him flashing through his mind.

The image of the alpha wolf being knocked down is a nightmare that haunts him when he is awake.

He gulped down the pitch-black liquid, the burning sensation of Fenris mead dispelling the gloom of winter and the defeat of the Lord of War.

At the same moment the wolf pack left Duran with a gloomy atmosphere, Nimrod issued orders in the Primarch's office.

"Technical sergeant, researching the technology of the Durans."

"Sanchez, your team will stay in Duran to rest and regroup."

“Alsena, set the goal, Chogoris, it’s time to go see Chagatai.”

Although the problem of Rus has been resolved, Nimrod has promised Saint Gilles and Magnus that he will talk to Chagatai.

The prophecy dice have already been used, and we can only divine the origin of Randan's home planet in 873. We can use this time to meet with Chagatai.

Sanchez and Arsène Dunne glanced at the trophies on the weapons rack, including a long chainsaw sword, and replied respectfully.

"Follow Your will."

At the same moment the Shadow of the Kings leaps into the subspace, Ethan, a think tank visiting Prospero, stands in the center of the Secret Eye Plaza, surveying the eighty-one roads that extend from it.

Chiko, dressed in red armor, introduced herself with a smile.

"The Secret Eye Square is the center of Tizka."

“When the Emperor and Lord Nimrod visited Prospero, my father greeted them here.”

Ethan gazed at the tall Dorian-style stone pillars, the burning braziers atop them illuminating his memories of reading his father's memoirs.

As he pondered, he walked into a street lined with lifelike silver lion statues on both sides.

Each statue is different in posture and size, resembling a real pride of lions gilded and placed on a marble base.

Ethan stopped and looked toward the garden entrance guarded by two statues, where a red-armored warrior was supervising the people's exercise.

“This is Silver Lion Street,” the handsome Chiko walked up to him. “They practice 'Tai Chi'.”

"During the rescue operation on Dawn Star, Father and Perturabo discovered the remnants of the Dragon Kingdom."

"After studying them, my father discovered that they could find peace in gentle and precise movements, and that the repetitive cycles and graceful harmony would soothe their troubled minds."

"I think this is familiar to you; Lord Ninglu's territory also has gardens for the people to practice."

Ethan nodded; he knew that Thousand Sons was referring to "they" as psionicists and mutants.

They make up a significant portion of the population of Tizika.

In each of his father's territories, gardens were built, and the people were forced to practice "Tai Chi".

It is both a benefit for residents and a measure to prevent psychics from going out of control.

The people exercising immediately cheered enthusiastically when they saw the black-armored warriors appear.

They bowed in unison, gently and gracefully, and shouted loudly.

"Salute to the Shadow of Order, thank you for hunting the Soul-Eating Bees."

"Handsome Ryōha Chiko said jokingly."

“Your popularity here is almost comparable to ours.”

“This is what you deserve. Since you began hunting the Soul-Eating Bees of the Wilds, Tizka has not been attacked again.”

“This is exactly my mission here.” Ethan waved to the crowd, drawing even louder cheers.

As the two talked, they reached the foot of the mountain. Qianzi, whose skin shone with light, proudly pointed to the giant pyramid against the backdrop of the White Mountain and the Acropolis.

"The most magnificent one belongs to our school."

“It is the largest, apart from the Primitive Pyramid of Fatep.”

The proud think tank curator, Hathor Matt, used his power to make the Bright Feather Pyramid a magnificent structure.

Ethan gazed into the distance. Elsewhere, such imposing structures would have stood out jarringly, but these pyramids blended harmoniously with the surrounding landscape, as if they were originally part of the mountains. Only one was an exception. Pointing curiously to the burning spire, he asked, "What's that?"

“‘Fire Phoenix School’.” The handsome Qianzi curled his lip.

He pulled a shimmering psionic crystal from his person and handed it to Ethan.

"Your gift, a gift that every visitor to the shadow of order will receive."

“You can make the Bright Feather Pyramid your home. Everyone in our school longs to communicate with you.”

"You can also read every book in the collection. Apart from the Great Library and the Futap, the Bright Feather Pyramid has the largest collection of books."

Chiko of the "Bright Feather School" said enthusiastically.

The Father of Genetics had a friendly relationship with Lord Nimrod, and the Temple Master had also been seconded to the "Shadow of Order." He often recounted his experiences when he took the stage to teach, and the school was generally friendly towards Lord Nimrod and his descendants.

Ethan did not become engrossed in the vast ocean of knowledge at the Bright Feather Pyramid; the very next day, he piloted the red disc-shaped speedboat provided by Thousand to the wasteland.

The Thousand Sons prioritized supplying the small number of assault boats that the Legion had just equipped to the Shadow Order heading to the wasteland.

After the speedboat flew out of Tizka, Ethan looked around and saw thousands of soldiers in red armor setting up a defensive array around dozens of iron towers surrounding Tizka.

They looked up and raised their staffs in salute.

After returning the greeting, Ethan flew over the stronghold that the Shadow of Order had established for Thousand Sons, heading towards the location rune of his battle brothers deep in the wasteland.

A towering, charred iron stone structure, heavily covered in greenery, came into view as he piloted his speedboat down into the valley.

A group of shadowy figures clad in black armor emerged from the decaying steel frame of the building, warily surveying their surroundings.

"Don't use psionic powers!" Ethan immediately heard the warning.

“They become more and more frenzied with each release of psionic energy.”

"Knock down one, attract millions."

Although Ethan was eager to test the effects of "Griffin's Roar" on creatures like the Soul-Eating Bees, he wouldn't risk his own life or the lives of the other Shadow Order members.

He had already guessed that the think tank director sent him to Prospero to hone his self-control and willpower.

The Unyielding Think Tank nodded and took the Arc Launcher from behind him.

"They're here," the hunting party's "monster" warned, having heard screeching and rubbing sounds.

Ethan looked in the direction the "monster" was facing, and countless pairs of wings buzzed and flashed as they approached.

The "warriors" joined the circular formation, raised their arc launchers, and fired at the rolling swarm of bees.

sizzle...

The crackling of electricity struck the slender limbs, and one after another, ugly, multi-winged insect-like creatures fell like raindrops.

"Raise your shield!"

As the Shadow of Order who had just given the warning issued the order, three Shadows of Order took their shields from behind and gripped them tightly.

The "warrior" paused for a moment, then reacted, raised his left arm, and activated the wall-mounted energy shield.

He noticed that the others suddenly shrank back, immediately realizing their responsibility.

The "warrior" charged at the Soul-Eating Bee, and the impact made a loud bang, which made his arm go numb.

The "warrior" glanced in astonishment at the six chitinous pincers, then scanned the other shield-bearing Order Shadow Armor with its numerous sharp blade marks.

He suddenly understood why the Tizkas held the Shadow of Order in such high regard.

Taking advantage of the moment of his backward leap, the "soldier" slung the arc launcher onto his back.

He drew the force field sword from the think tank at his waist, but did not activate the spiritual energy field to avoid attracting the spirit-devouring bees.

The "warrior" charged forward, his shield hissing as it knocked away the razor-sharp pincers, and with a sweep of his sword, he slapped away another multifaceted compound-eyed Soul-Devouring Bee that had locked onto him.

The "warrior" fends off the swarming, flapping Soul-Devouring Bees.

He endured the attacks of the Soul-Eating Bees time and time again until the energy field in his arm was completely depleted.

Ethan's arms trembled as he gripped the force field sword tightly.

The "warrior" felt his strength being depleted by the repeated attacks of the Soul-Eating Bees, and his breathing began to become heavy.

boom!
The force field sword tilted and almost slipped from his grasp.

Ethan twisted the blade with all his might, and suddenly the image of Mortarian pulling him like he was a beast of burden flashed through his mind.

He thought of the Death Guard, known for their tenacity.

I will not lose to you.
An indomitable belief burned brightly in Ethan's soul, filling his weary body with strength.

He drew the Arc Launcher from behind him and spun the Force Field Sword rapidly with one hand.

Streaks of lightning tore through the shadows of the bee swarm, and the force field sword swept across, knocking away swarms of spirit-devouring bees.

The Shadows of Order stared in astonishment at Ethan's outburst, the power within him seemingly inexhaustible.

"Follow him," the captain was the first to react and immediately gave the order.

Ethan ran with great strides, determined not to fall until he had taken down all his enemies.

bang bang bang...

One after another, the Soul-Eating Bees crashed to the ground.

The shrill screams became sparse until they disappeared completely.

Ethan glanced at the gifts scattered on the ground for his father, silently reflecting as the hunting party members watched in amazement.

I've come to understand what true resilience is.
