Warhammer: Black Emperor
Chapter 616 The Ascension Ceremony of the "Fallen Earl" and Potion Ingredients
Chapter 616 The Ascension Ceremony of the "Fallen Earl" and Potion Ingredients
Upon arriving in the "Land of Chaos," Nimrod first went to the Profane Slab to examine the potion recipe for Sequence 4, "The Fallen Earl."
Main materials: 1 Heraf Originator, 1 Birac Relic Fragment.
Auxiliary materials: 331133 ml of Black Rasfoss, 1 Gray Nephilim, 1 Barbarossa Overlord's Head.
Ninglu's gaze deepened as he finished reading the potion recipe.
The appearance of the Nephilim is thought-provoking; although their sonic weapons could kill Astartes, they would not be as dangerous as Soul Eater Peak.
Nimrod was concerned that the Nephilim were closely associated with faith and that they had enslaved billions of people across hundreds of worlds.
The Nephilim made humans regard them as gods, and even knowing they were food, they said to Chagatai Khan without hesitation, "For mortals, what could be more wonderful than nourishing the gods?"
[Do the potion ingredients for Sequence 4 exhibit obvious faith-related characteristics?]
As Nimrod pondered this, he also knew that he could not be absent from the war against the Nephilim.
Ninglu then thought of the overlord of Barbarossa.
Through his dealings with Mortarion, he has acquired the heads of many overlords.
[Individually speaking, the Overlord is indeed more dangerous than Hrud.]
Although Hrud's entropy field can conceal his body, thermal imaging vision can compensate for it.
Although King Hrud was not silenced by his powerful entropy energy, he was powerless to resist when facing him alone and was captured instantly.
But without his help or the old man Huang from his memories, Mortarion would not be able to defeat Nekare.
"What's truly terrifying about the Hruds is their sheer numbers; they number in the thousands, and even Astartes would turn to dust."
"A billion of them gathered together to tear apart the stars and age the void ships."
"Unfortunately, Mortarion kept Nekare's head as proof that he had fulfilled the mission his destiny had given him."
Nimrod knew the immense significance of Nekare's head to Mortalian.
Once you steal it, it'll be a fight to the death between you and him.
"It's not worth it for the sake of amplification. If he really does join Nurgle in the future, the plague will be a big problem, even if I have Beyonders with the 'Sun,' 'Mother,' and 'Moon' pathways."
“Motalian has become a demon, and given our previous relationship, I wouldn’t be his primary target.”
Just as he was about to give up the idea, a sudden inspiration struck him.
"Yes, I can do it behind the scenes!"
"However, the space created by the 'black box' is limited and cannot be created remotely. A special opportunity is needed for the operation to succeed."
Ning Lu's eyes were deep, and the initial outline of a plan was taking shape in his mind.
Nimrod then thought of Khlav, whom he had first seen on the Space Dwarfs’ stone tablets, and later obtained further information from the Khruds’ mycelial scrolls.
Of course, he already had some understanding of Lady Hera without needing these materials.
Lady Hera possesses powerful psychic abilities and can perform remote mental parasitism through the warp, then absorb the life force of the host and convert it into her own combat power until there are no more hosts left on the entire planet.
Lady Hera was also a formidable individual fighter; even the most ordinary of hers surpassed the Astartes and could rival the Imperial Guard.
The original Heraves are even capable of fighting against the Primarch.
Both Angron and Saint Gilles fought against Lady Hera, but in the end, it was the determined Ryan Eljonsson who resisted the possession and found their base in return.
He deployed insurmountable Iron Men and launched a nuclear strike to destroy the Xenomorphs' stronghold, but a large number of Xenomorphs still survived.
[The main material of Sequence 5, Sloth and the Enslaver did not make any specific demands.]
Ordinary Sloths and slaves are acceptable, but the "Fallen Earl" requires that the original being be present.
Sure enough, the requirements have increased.
Ninglu finally turned his gaze to the blasphemous stone tablet, which didn't even have any pictures of potion ingredients on it.
He knew, of course, that the blasphemous stone tablet could not possibly provide a diagram.
First Prince Birac has ruled numerous empires since the "Dawn Age." His relics are scattered throughout millions of years of Terran time, taking on various forms, from statues carved from the fossilized bones of psionicists to fragments of the Netherhorn sealed within a sacred coffin…
Each fragment of the sacred relic that carries his power is different.
Ultimately, it was Kaub, the technological sage of the Cult of Machines, who, with the secret manipulation and assistance of Birak, spent his life piecing together Birak's history, searching for ancient ruins during his exploration of the galaxy, and finally recovering all the relics.
I first discovered traces of Bilak on Vigilant Star, where there must have been a kingdom in the past.
The Void Claw, a weapon of immense destructive power that could trigger apocalypse on Vigilant Planet, appears to have been created specifically to counter the threat posed by Bilak.
However, I haven't found any fragments of Birac's power; the most likely place to find them now is the Abyss of Sak Trada.
Ning Lu reached this conclusion for three reasons.
The ruins of the Gugan system may be the remains of the civilization destroyed by Bilarak.
The mycelium book contains records of Birac and warnings from the Eldar.
[The Abyss of Sak Trada was already part of my plan.]
After converting to immortality and obtaining Peturabo's improved stasis device, one can travel deeper into the Abyss of Sak Trada.
After Ning Lu had figured out his plan, he wondered to himself.
Why must it be a fragment of Birac's power?
Even if it's limited to demon princes, and not demons like Samus whom I just banished, there are still many.
Why must it be Birac? Is it necessary for proto-evolution? What is necessary?
Ning Lu pondered for a long time but still couldn't reach a conclusion.
He then looked at the blasphemous stone tablet, the ceremony for ascending to the rank of "Fallen Earl".
Ascension Ritual: Kill the Demon Prince during his ascension ritual, drink the potion amidst his death and complex emotions, and seize the power that rightfully belongs to him.
“Very ‘degenerate count’.”
After expressing his feelings, Ninglu pondered how to complete the ceremony.
[It cannot be done after ascending to demonhood; it must be done at the time of ascending to demonhood.]
In the future, there will be many Astartes, and even mortals will ascend to become demons.
However, there weren't many during the "Great Expedition" period; Ingsel of Cadia was one.
Ning Lu had just thought of the name when she immediately rejected it. She became the Ascended One because she was tasked with leading the four peddlers to the "Eye of Fear" on a pilgrimage.
He killed Ingsal when he became an Ascended, almost face-to-face with the four peddlers, and within the "Eye of Fear".
[It was even more dangerous than killing most Primarchs, and she gained less power than they did.]
It's a thankless task.
Ning Lu thought of a few names, but then rejected them one by one.
Promotion was unlikely during the "Great Expedition" period.
During the grand birthday celebration, only the Ascended Demon Primal Form can be killed.
Even if I have an excess of potion ingredients, especially fragments of Birac and the essence of Heraf, this is the only way to ensure a successful advancement.
The scene of the Primarchs ascending to demonic possession flashed through Ninglu's mind, and the vague idea gradually became clear, with a goal in mind.
Then, he scanned the blasphemous slab to see which of the unlocked potion recipes he knew and possessed.
After memorizing all the potion recipes and advancement rituals, Ninglu made a thought and headed to the newly unlocked eighth level of space after advancing to "Chaos Mentor".
P.S.: I've seen some readers worrying that there won't be a Magic Potion Materials Science Association in the future, but that's completely unnecessary.
There are many things in Warhammer, so it's easy to think of them.
After confirming the main storyline, I figured it out in less than an hour, which means I had already thought about the subsequent sequence 3 and uniqueness long ago.
Example: I have specifically mentioned the two main materials of "The Fallen Earl" in the previous text, which can be regarded as a small foreshadowing.
Heraf is in Chapter 328, The Space Dwarf's Tablet.
I wrote the plot for Bilak in chapters 401 and 529.
