Chapter 781 The Silent Sister: The Psionic Immunity of the Shadow of Order Far Surpasses Astartes

The Abyss Knight Claire stared at the warrior clad in black armor and wielding a short sword.

She sensed a similar aura from the man in front of her to that of her sisters—the aura of a soulless being.

[The mysterious warriors under Lord Ninglu's command.]
As a senior nun in the Hall of Oblivion, Claire was active on multiple fronts against psionicists, and briefly fought alongside many expeditions.

She had heard that mysterious warriors had appeared under Lord Nimrod's command, who could make people feel instinctively uncomfortable and had extraordinary resistance to psionic energy.

Sixteen years ago, Knight Commander Gentia Kohler issued an order that all the Silent Sisters gather relevant information while on missions.

Five years ago, when she returned to Somonasburg on the moon for a joint meeting of the Sisters, the Hall of Vigilance, the Hall of Oblivion, the Hall of Judgment, and the Hall of Stars shared information.

They confirmed that Lord Ninglu did indeed have a force of over a hundred untouchables under his command.

Each of the “Shadow of Order”’s battle groups and think tanks has untouchables.

Each of the formal nuns present expressed their stance with their hands, and finally the High Priestess announced the decision: no contact for the time being, and to continue gathering information.

After silently scrutinizing the untouchable for a few seconds, Claire suddenly turned and looked into the distance.

She gripped her greatsword tightly and silently flew away.

Etzack watched as the powerful woman wielding a greatsword and the five gun-wielding women behind her turned and left, only then did his tense nerves relax.

He slung the chainsaw sword, which was far too large for the tall Vesa people, over his shoulder and picked up the Vostonia-type laser gun.

Eitsak glanced into the distance but didn't follow.

The Abyss Knight Claire led the nun sisters toward the direction permeated by the stench of the warp.

The misty psionic fog quickly dispersed in front of her, and her vision swept across the scattered battlefields.

The Shadow of Order, clad in black armor, and the Holy Blood Angels, in crimson armor, dispersed to surround and kill the Spirit Race.

Claire's gaze was drawn to a group of black-armored soldiers who were fighting against a powerful Eldar wizard.

The Elven wizard raised his head and began to chant an ancient, wild melody.

A wave of subspace stench surged around him, surrounded by a shimmering halo.

The moment he finished chanting, a dazzling flash of light erupted, followed by an explosion of the halo.

A blazing pillar of fire enveloped the five Shadow Order figures, and one of them's terracotta armor melted and slid off at lightning speed.

His flesh burned to ashes, emitting a pungent odor.

Claire's eyes flashed; she saw four other shadowy figures of order.

It was as if an invisible barrier enveloped their armor.

Two Vesaian Order Shadows raised bedrock-type explosive guns and fired a barrage of booming bullets.

The visionary let out a sharp shriek, and intense flames erupted around him.

bang bang bang...

With a loud bang, the flame shield expanded rapidly.

Upon seeing this, the two Shadow Order members immediately hung up their bomb guns and drew their monomolecular combat knives.

Claire was shocked to see two charging shadowy figures of Order, one on the left and one on the right, wielding their power swords to strike the billowing flames.

*Pfft! Pfft!*
The molten flow was cleaved in two by a single sword strike.

That was definitely not an explosion caused by the collision of the disintegrating force field and the fire psionic energy; it was more like the psionic suppression of the untouchable, directly cutting off the foul warp energy surging into the real world.

Although the negative effects of this psychic energy were not as severe as those of novice nuns who had not taken the Serenity Vow, it was still alarming.

No Astartes legion, even including the vanished one, has ever displayed such a degree of immunity to psionic spells.

[The psionic immunity of these four Shadow Order members far surpasses that of Astartes.]
As Claire's thoughts flashed, two blazing streams of molten metal shot from the Foresight's eyes, each aimed at the Shadow of Order.

The beam of light struck the two shadowy figures of Order, sending them flying amidst the explosion.

The other two Shadow Orders pushed their right arms with their left hands, their monomolecular combat blades stabbing at the Visionary. Claire imprinted the scene of the four strange Shadow Orders slaying the Eldar wizard in her mind, and continued running towards the stench in the distance.

Suddenly, the Abyss Knight's eyes were filled with streams of foul-smelling light, and strands of spirit bones engraved with strange runes converged in one direction.

A massive, haunting dome suddenly pierced her vision, its blinding light scorching away from her and the nuns behind her.

Rumble!
The scorching "beams" pierced the heads around their upright buns, and a terrifying, foul-smelling energy storm brewed above their heads.

The five witch hunters remained calm. They spread out and formed a circular defensive line with the Abyss Knights, sensing the changes in the surrounding foul stench.

The entire ring moves in unison, moving at the same frequency, and moving forward at high speed.

However, the storm overhead moved in sync, chasing after them.

boom!
The destructive molten flow poured down, crashing down on them.

A powerful blow struck Claire on the back, sending her flying.

Despite bleeding from her mouth and nose, she struggled to maintain her balance.

Claire closed her eyes, then suddenly opened them again.

Her vision returned, and she saw an alien wizard with crystallized legs, sitting amidst a cluster of crystals, her eyes gleaming eerily.

The Spirit Race wizard looked up into the distance, his long, slender fingers fiddling with something.

Claire paused, her body trembling uncontrollably.

Her knees trembled incessantly as her body struggled against the invisible force exerted upon her.

boom!
Claire's body crashed to the ground. Her gaze swept around as she saw the two sisters' explosive guns twisting strangely, shooting themselves in the head, and another nun rolling silently in the flames.

[A powerful alien wizard!]
As Claire struggled against the invisible force affecting her, a figure in black armor and with golden wings suddenly flashed in her eyes.

Lord Nimrod!

A glint of light appeared in Claire's eyes. She felt the invisible spiderweb surrounding her body loosen slightly. She straightened her upper body and looked towards the crystal forest.

The alien's crystallized legs cracked and splintered.

She struggled desperately to break free from the crystallization, then clumsily fled.

[Lord Nimrod the Fearful Wizard of the Eldar!]

She ran away...
Whoosh!
With a flash of golden light, Lord Ninglu chased after the direction in which the Spirit Clan wizard had fled.

He wasn't moving fast, and seemed to be pulled by an invisible force, but he still chased after the Spirit Clan wizard.

Claire swayed and got up from the ground. She found the two surviving nun sisters and led them in the direction where the golden light had disappeared.

In the air, Ninglu flew over the dense crystal forest, looking down at the lifelike crystal sculptures.

Some of them carried walking sticks, while others had a ghostly glint in their eyes, as if they were gazing into the distance...

Nimrod knew that these crystal statues were not carved using psionic crystals to commemorate someone, but were the manifestations of Eldar prophets.

As the Eldar prophets age, their bodies gradually fall into hibernation, while their minds become increasingly entangled with the core of the Ark.

When the time is right, they will walk into the crystal dome of the ark and join their ancestors as a crystal statue.

The crystal statues that prophets become are actually psychic-sensitive crystals, and they become like this because of their long-term exposure to warp energy.

Nimrod stared at the Eldar prophet fleeing in terror.

The prophets are the most powerful and respected psionicists and visionaries, and the highest-ranking prophets form a council that governs the Ark world.

When he saw the Eldar prophet pluck the strings of fate and use "Doomsday" to kill three witch hunters, plunging the Abyss Knights into crisis, he knew that the prophet who had begun to crystallize must be Mag Silas's most powerful prophet.

Nimrod immediately realized that she was Margo Silas's most powerful psionic and his most prized possession.

Although the Eldar prophet's "Doomsday" had no effect on the "Bury" driven by the burning ambition of the "Chaos Mentor," he deliberately let the other go.
