Chapter 802 A New Translator Using Nephilim's Technology
The Ark Edge Cluster has no official designation, only the internal designation of "Shadow of Order" as World 11-11-57. It is the 57th world discovered by the Eleventh Chapter.
Company Commander Kirkland, dressed in a hooded black robe, walked through the swamp.
Before landing, he checked the Auger Matrix scan report on the data panel and learned that 74 percent of the world's area was covered by swamps, and life signals were scattered in this area.
Chambers recalled a key piece of information from the Black Emperor's documents: the many worlds in the six star systems were connected by trade corridors.
[To fulfill our Lord's command, we must begin with trade.]
As he pondered, Lyman's ears twitched slightly, following the roaring sound forward.
The roar of the machine gradually became clearer, and Chambers stopped in his tracks.
He stopped to watch as two mechanical arms extended out, swinging circular saws and buzzing as they cut through the outer layer of the gray-white wood.
Then, mechanical hoses extended from the fire truck-shaped water cannon and struck the gray-white trees.
Chambers' eyes narrowed as he watched the long, white tube being filled.
They weren't collecting wood, but rather sap.
Chambers quietly retreated a kilometer and came to a large tree that three Astartes could encircle, and raised his right hand.
boom!
His large hand gripped the tree trunk, and with a cracking sound, debris flew down.
Chambers felt a chill on his fingertips as he pulled his arm away, bringing with him a drop of gray liquid.
He stared at the gray liquid that had splashed onto the ground and flowed out, casting a thin mist over the surroundings.
"Natural coolant?"
Chambers stared at the liquid, then walked thoughtfully in the direction where he had just encountered the locals, a plan gradually forming in his mind.
He followed the gathering team and found their settlement.
Chambers circled the settlement from a distance, observing the camp:
The white cylindrical silo was covered in cold mist, and metal pipes wrapped around it like tentacles.
The tallest and most magnificent building in the camp was a mooring platform supported by five metal pillars, which Chambers estimated could accommodate three transport ships.
The local residents are short and stocky, about a head shorter than average.
Their skin is grayish-white, a result of long-term exposure to a dim star.
Chambers pulled the transcriber from his waist, pressed the rune, and one of the two trumpet-shaped components coiled on it lit up.
The Legion's technical sergeants, based on the Nephilim's sonic technology, invented a sound-capturing device, adding a component to the Imperial standard model.
The translator automatically identifies and can, to some extent, replace the telepathic function of the think tank, quickly finding the closest language to the local language among the many low Gothic languages in Terra during the tense initial exchanges in the process of submission.
While the translator collects and analyzes the local language and matches it, the superhuman vision of the shadowy order observes the camp.
He rejected one option after another: the camp garrison captain carrying an automatic gun, the leader in splendid attire...
The dim light completely disappeared, and Chambers bypassed the camp guards and came to the area below the mooring area.
He climbed the scaffolding, along the outer edge, and reached the top.
Chambers applied a little pressure with his fingers, and with a click, he opened the window.
Behind the gray wooden table, the freight manager, who was swiping his stylus across a spreadsheet, looked up in surprise at the dark figure by the window.
"you……"
He had barely uttered a word when the shadowy figure, dragging its afterimage, instantly appeared in front of the desk.
The dark figure stretched out its thick arm and lifted him up.
Chambers raised his hand and pressed the translator hanging from his throat. The runes flashed, but he could not speak.
The freight supervisor's ears throbbed, and an overclocked sound suddenly rang out:
"If you don't want to die, don't let the guards in."
The sound-generating device of the new transducer is fixed in the ultra-high frequency band.
He can be heard by superhuman warriors like Astartes, but only by people within a certain range.
Ordinary people outside the range cannot hear the super-frequency band.
The holder can set the range, which is within one kilometer.
Chambers had set the range to three meters, so the guards outside the house couldn't hear him.
Hurried footsteps sounded at the door, "Supervisor..."
The cargo manager saw the giant's face under the hood; his face was broad, with sharp, chiseled features.
His neck and the exposed part of his arm were thick, several times thicker than the strongest porter under his command.
He held his large hand firmly and steadily, without the slightest tremor.
[He could strangle me with just one move.] The cargo manager felt a chill run down his spine, and his legs trembled.
"I'm fine... the filing cabinet tipped over..." He forced himself to calm down and did as the giant told him to do.
"I'm fucking fine, don't bother me while I'm working." "Yes, sir!" The guard released the doorknob and turned to leave.
After venting his fear through angry outbursts, the freight manager's mind raced as he considered how to survive.
What do you want?
“I have 8,326 shrike coins in my safe. They are all yours as long as you don’t kill me.”
The Shrike coins issued by Heliosa are the most valuable and interplanetary currency, with freight managers receiving 120 coins per month as compensation.
The only thing that would interest a giant, and that could buy his own life, is a shrike coin.
Chambers' obsidian-like eyes were fixed on the transportation manager. "What are you transporting?"
The transportation manager paused for a moment, then, feeling the increased force, quickly spoke up.
"Coolant..."
"The sap extracted from fir trees has a strong cooling effect."
"We will dilute it 6,200 times and use it as a coolant."
Chambers' eyes lit up. Coolant was a specialty of this world, essential for fulfilling the Black Emperor's decree:
The goal is to plan and create chaos, disrupt the world order, and seize profits.
The "Corrupted Baron" stared intently at the transport manager. "You must cooperate with me and take control of the entire supply chain, from collection, local transport, dilution preparations, and interplanetary transport."
……
A standard month later, in the transportation manager's office, Chambers stood by the window.
The Monarch heavy transport ship lowered its support structure and landed steadily in the berthing area.
The orderly shadows of the Third Company marched down from the landing deck with synchronized steps.
The transport manager bowed to the black-armored giant.
The shadows of order swept past the dockworkers and pounced on targets such as the factory and cargo holds.
Chambers steadied the potion at his waist, a gift from the Black Emperor.
He pushed open the window and jumped out.
Boom boom boom...
Amidst the roar of the grenades, Chambers ran toward the white dome.
Deng!Deng!Deng!
Chambers took three big strides and leaped into the air.
The "Corrupted Baron" turned to the side, twisted and swung his right arm, and slammed his fist into the dome like a bomb.
Rumble!
Chambers crashed into the dome, his obsidian eyes scanning like a falcon's, while the communication bead in his ear hummed with the adjutant's report.
"Company commander, I have stormed into settlement number two and taken control of the factory."
"Company commander, I have stormed into settlement number three and have taken control of the warehouse area."
"Company commander, I have broken into settlement number four and occupied the mooring area."
"..."
boom!
The "Corrupted Baron" crashed onto the third-floor platform and rushed toward his office.
Da da da……
The incoming barrage of bullets veered and twisted in the air before striking the white wall.
The "Corrupted Baron" crashed into the two guards like a speeding train.
Bones shattered, wooden doors burst open.
"You are..." the leader exclaimed in surprise.
boom!
Chambers punched the chief's head off, and amidst the chaotic footsteps and screams of terror in the settlement, he poured the black potion into his mouth.
A moment later, the newly appointed "chaotic mentor" restrained his overflowing spirituality, raising his hands and clasping them together in reverse.
"Thanks be to my Lord for this!"
He released his hands, turned on the communicator, and gave orders on the company's command channel.
"Control the situation and restore order."
Chambers didn't stop. He jumped out of the window and ran quickly toward the black thunder eagle that was descending from the sky.
When the Black Emperor bestowed the potion, he instructed him to travel to the world 11-11-58 in the same star system to assist the Fifth Company Commander.
