Warhammer: Black Emperor

Chapter 828 I provoked Lord Ninglu, and actually got what I wanted.

Chapter 828 I provoked Lord Ninglu, and actually got what I wanted.

At the same moment that Marika boarded the black Skyhawk shuttle and headed towards the transport ship bound for Vostonia, Pedronila Viva let out an excited whisper.

"Lord Ninglu has agreed to see me."

She moved with courtly dance steps, calling out in a light and cheerful tone.

"Barbes, pick out a dress for me."

After trying on one gorgeous dress after another, Pedronila finally chose an elegant and dignified outfit—an off-white long dress paired with an ivory-colored lining that accentuated her figure.

She also abandoned the heavy makeup of the Terra court, only using antimony sulfide powder to slightly darken her eyeliner.

She wore a mesh-like rose gold necklace on her forehead, resembling raindrops of sapphires and pearls, covering her forehead.

With a reserved smile on her face, Pedronella arrived at the Primarch's office and spoke to her bodyguard, Magad.

"Maghad, you stay outside."

Pedronella knew that Magad had always admired the Astartes and revered the Primarchs as gods, so he must be extremely eager to see Lord Nimrod in person.

But today, she was unwilling to share Lord Ninglu's attention with others.

"Yes, sir." Magad carried out his master's orders with regret but meticulousness, and he curiously looked at the two people at the door.

A shadowy figure of honor guard, his tall stature similar to the warriors he had seen on the ship.

The other one was not an Astartes, but the one carrying a spear was the tallest and strongest warrior he had ever seen, apart from the Imperial Guard and the Astartes.

What struck Magadha even more was his repulsive coldness, which resembled that of the silent nuns who walked the palace.

[Magade.] Nimrod looked up at the doorway.

He remembered the name; after Magad followed Pedronila Viva, he succumbed to Horus's power and charm.

Magad is a powerful warrior admired by Horus. The Corian Blade he wields is an ancient blade from the treasure trove of the Capinus family, capable of severing the bond between the soul and the body.

He used the Coren Blade to kill numerous Nurgle corrupted creatures in Devon, a feat even surpassing that of most Shadowmoon Wolves.

Horus granted Magad the power, and Magad, whom he worshipped, killed the scribe Ignes Calcas.

Ning Lu withdrew his gaze and stood up to welcome Pedronila Viva as she entered the office.

Her attire was understated, unlike the peacocks displaying their plumage at Terra Palace; her light makeup accentuated her naturally perfect face and figure.

[She did dress up quite carefully.]
Pedronila glanced quickly across the office, secretly pleased that no one else was distracting Lord Ninglu.

Her gaze fell upon the massive, heavy chainsaw sword and the chilling battle axe, and her eyes lit up.

Pedronella knew those were the weapons of Primarch Leman Ruth, the Siren's Bite and the Winter's Blade.

She also learned from the intelligence that it was evidence of the Wolf King's two major defeats at the hands of Ninglu.

Like Lord Nimrod's jet-black armor, they are also proof of Lord Nimrod's unparalleled Primarch martial prowess.

The fine armor with its plates joined together was made by Manus for Nimrod.

Lord Nimrod emerged victorious in the duel between the two Primarchs.

Pedronila gazed at the approaching black-armored giant, whose perfect physique was even more imposing than seen in photographs or when looking up at statues.

Obsidian's eyes were as deep as the legendary Nile River, and when she gazed at her, she felt as if she were the focus of the entire galaxy at that moment.

The allure was so captivating that she felt dizzy, and she tried her best to use the mental fortitude she had cultivated in the palace to gather her thoughts.

“Lord Ninglu.” Pedronila bowed her head, performing an elegant and elaborate curtsy, and extended her smooth hand in anticipation of a kiss.

“Miss Viva of the Capinus family.”

Ninglu ignored her hand and spoke directly, saying that this was a violation of court etiquette, but she quickly regained her composure.

“I am Pedronila Viva of the Capinus family.”

"Miss Viva, would you like to be my documentary writer?"

Although Ninglu's sentence is a question, his tone is confident.

Pedronella never imagined that her intentions could be concealed from a Primarch, let alone Lord Nimrod, who was known for his keen insight and perception.

She said frankly, "If you would allow me to receive this honor."

“Miss Viva, my fleet has many chroniclers, why should I bestow this honor upon you?”

Pedronila raised her neck like a swan, met the burning gaze directly, and said proudly.

“Those chroniclers are nothing but a low-quality rabble, and none of them can replace me.”

"I will create an immortal image for you!"

“If you possess the wisdom-filled eyes of legend, you will surely understand this.” Her tone and her eyes were defiant as she looked at the giant before her.

In the silence, Petronira's heart pounded wildly.

Images of the Blood King and the blood-stained years of Terra flashed through her mind.

She suppressed her instinctive urge to bite her lips and waited for Lord Ninglu's reaction.

Ninglu was taken aback. Although he had restrained the superhuman "majesty" bestowed upon him by the "Chaos Mentor," he was still surprised that Pedronila dared to speak like that.

As expected of you.

He directly challenged Horus, who had become a war commander, and was praised by Horus for having a "wolf-like" nature.
“Miss Viva, please have a seat.” As he spoke, he moved the leather sofa to be parallel to the desk.

Pedronila breathed a sigh of relief. She lifted her skirt and walked gracefully to the sofa, where she sat down elegantly. Then, she looked across the long black table at Ninglu, who had returned to his throne.

“Miss Viva, you said you could bring me unique value.”

“Yes,” Petroni said confidently.

"The glorious honor I have written for you will make you revered by the nobles of Terra."

"I think no one knows better than me how to cultivate the image of a monarch that is revered by the nobility."

"Kerrell Hindman's discourse is tedious, Dion Fullerster's repertoire is short-lived, and Ignace Carcas's poems are of acceptable quality, but they describe the magnificent achievements of the Great Expedition in a rather unpalatable way."

Although Nimrod did not demonstrate this, he agreed with Pechorella Viva's statement. Born into nobility, she understood better than people like Carell Hindman what nobles wanted to see and believe.

Seeing that Lord Ninglu remained noncommittal, Pedronila continued.

"Fear may protect your interests, but it cannot make others follow you."

“Oh,” Nimrod chuckled. “Kotz would disagree with your opinion.”

“But you won’t,” Petronira said firmly.

"Fear stems from the unknown."

"You need a more comprehensive image."

"The nobles of Terra would be willing to follow someone like you."

Pedronila explained her thoughts, looking nervously at Lord Nimrod, whose expression remained calm.

He saw the giant get up, and he followed suit, lifting his skirt and getting up as well.

“Miss Viva, congratulations. From now on, you are my ‘documentary’ writer.”

The nobles of Terra possess immense power and wealth, and bringing some of the fearful and alienated families under their control would be a significant asset.

At the very least, it's worth a try.

As for normal people not writing biographies while they are alive.

Ning Lu thought to himself that he could not define himself as a "person," nor did he shy away from the term.

He is immortal and has also gained some of the Black Emperor's resurrection abilities ahead of time.

Pedronila was taken aback when she saw Lord Ninglu stand up and extend his large, smooth hand, which was even more lustrous than marble.

A hint of joy flashed in her eyes; she had gained initial approval.

Pedronila happily reached out her hand.

A large hand covered and enveloped the small hand.

Pedronila's cheeks flushed.

"I will certainly not let you down, sir."

“Miss Viva, I have a question.”

"You can choose which expeditionary fleet to join, and why you have come to my side. It is 'common knowledge' that Horus's achievements are greater than mine."

“You are the most perfect Primarch!” Pedronila withdrew her hand, looking lost in thought.

"Your military achievements are outstanding, your martial prowess is superb, and your governance is excellent. The territory under your rule is a model for the empire."

Pedronia left, her steps unsteady, as if in a dream.

It wasn't until she stepped out of the office and passed the burly man standing opposite the shadow of order that a sudden unease welled up inside her, and she realized that her smooth back was damp and chilly.

[Unbelievable! I provoked Lord Ninglu, and I actually got what I wanted.]
After Pechorella Viva left, Nimrod heard a faint prayer.

He got up and went to his bedroom, then stepped out into the "Land of Chaos".

After Nimrod sat down, his spirituality spread, touching the ever-expanding and contracting sphere of spiritual light, and he immediately saw Thomas, the director of the think tank, kneeling on the altar in prayer.

“My Lord, I have followed Your divine decree, recorded the image of the star cluster at the edge of the Ark, outlined its true appearance, and mastered all the corresponding mystical knowledge.”

With a thought, Ning Lu immediately used materials such as Siren Dust collected from the Elysium Gate cosmos of the solar system to prepare the materials for the Sequence 5 "Astrologer" potion.

Inside the altar of the Mancola Think Tank, black mist surged, the door opened, and a bottle of transparent potion appeared out of thin air in Thomas's hand.

"Thanks be to my Lord."

Thomas offered his sincere thanks to the Black Emperor before examining the potion in his hand.

Among them, the starlight seemed to converge into illusory eyes.

The "Scroll Professor" tilted his head back and drank the potion, and countless spherical crystals, adorned with brilliance yet appearing rather illusory, immediately appeared in his mind.

Countless celestial phenomena appear, and the constellations shine brightly.

Thomas's mysterious eyes gazed at the shifting stars, becoming intoxicated by their light.

Suddenly, a majestic voice rang out.

"Concentrate your consciousness and sketch the star map of the Ark's outer clusters."

Thomas instinctively obeyed the Black Emperor's orders, manipulating the scattered stars and arranging them in a regular pattern.

A moment later, the newly appointed "astrologer" Thomas prayed devoutly once again.

Praise be to our Lord!

"Thank you, Lord, for your guidance!"

"In 997, the think tank gathered at Carrieham Gate." Accompanied by a dignified voice, a data crystal floated down.

“Follow Your will!” Thomas responded devoutly.

In the fourth dimension of the “Land of Chaos”, Nimrod’s spirituality spread again, touching the spiritual sphere of Sanchez, the lord of the Seventh Warband.

After confirming that no one was around him, he was instructed to perform a prayer ceremony.

After bestowing the data crystal upon Lady Hera, he had a sudden thought and gave the order.

“You, along with Thibault, Porti…” Nimrod named fifteen “conspirators” in a row.

“Based on the data crystal, we will devise a conspiracy to capture the original Helav alive.”

"Your plan must ensure that you can present the complete conspiracy to him."

Nimrod then instructed the lords of the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Tenth, and Twelfth War Legions, one by one, not to allow any auxiliary troops to accompany them when they assembled at Cariham Gate in 997.

He remembered that the Origin of Hraf could manipulate people's minds and incite rebellions across thousands of light-years.

They even piloted the Marauder Titan crews to attack Ryan.

Although the Hera people are a powerful and dangerous ancient race, they are also a treasure trove.

Lady Hera possesses unique interstellar travel technology and numerous psionic weapons.

The original space satisfies the requirements of the "Gate" pathway sequence 5 "Traveler" promotion ceremony.

The common Lady Hera is the only missing potion ingredient for the "Dreamer" pathway Sequence 5 "Dreamwalker". Nimrod saw the recipe on the Profane Tablet after fully digesting the "Chaos Mentor" potion.

The Heraf Source is the only missing potion ingredient for advancing to "Fallen Earl".
