Harry doesn't want to be a wizard, he wants to be a superhero

Chapter 274 Strange: Dormammu, I've come for you!

Chapter 274 Strange: Dormammu, I've come for you!

All the damage to the New York Sanctum was repaired, Strange's injuries healed quickly, and even the many Sanctum Guardian Mages who had been 'killed' by Kaecilius reappeared in the Sanctum.

In the blink of an eye, the New York Sanctuary returned to its original state, the same time that Strange had just been brought to the New York Sanctuary by the explosion.

What followed was exactly the same as before: Strange quickly gained the approval of the Cloak of Levitation, then defeated many of Kaecilius's followers and faced off against Kaecilius.

However, unlike before, Strange successfully escaped this time, and although he was seriously injured, he still managed to escape back to the floating city.

The floating city has a spatial stabilization array, which prevents most teleportation portals from opening inside the floating city.

However, Harry, Wong, and others who are the main members of Kamar-Taj are naturally exceptions, as is Strange, who has the potential to become the next Sorcerer Supreme.

A portal opened from inside the temple of the floating city, and Strange staggered out of it.

His cloak was tattered and hung on his shoulder, with wisps of smoke rising from the right half of the hem, revealing the scorched mage robe underneath.

He knelt on one knee, supporting himself on the ground, his left hand covering the bleeding wound in his abdomen. Blood beads flowing between his fingers fell onto the stone slab and congealed into purplish-black crystals—a sign of being corrupted by dark magic.

After seeing Harry and the others who had rushed over to inquire, he said in a hoarse voice:
"Hong Kong Sanctuary...Casillas is going there..."

Mordo rushed forward and grabbed his shoulder, frowning sharply when he touched his skin—he was corrupted by dark magic, his body temperature was abnormally low, like a corpse just pulled out of an ice cave.

However, no one panicked. Although Strange's injury was more serious than expected, it was still within the plan.

Without Harry even needing to lift a finger, Mordo used Harry's modified healing magic to quickly heal Strange, and within seconds Strange's face regained its rosy hue.

At this moment, Wang had already strode to the global map and placed his palm on the floating map of Asia.

Zooming in on the projected map, an ominous black mist rises over the location of the Hong Kong sanctuary.

Within these mists lie numerous deep spatial rifts, which expand continuously as time passes until they eventually merge into one, revealing the dark dimensional space behind them.

Mordo seemed a little nervous and anxiously said to Strange:
"Oh no! Kaecilius has begun to summon the Dark Dimension. If he succeeds, Earth will be completely swallowed up, and we will become Dormammu's slaves!"

Faced with a crisis that threatened the entire world, Strange paced anxiously back and forth in the temple, asking:

"What should we do? That's right, Sorcerer Supreme! Only you can handle this situation!"

Harry nodded with feigned seriousness, drew his wand from his pocket dimension, and said confidently:
"Don't worry, it's just Dormammu, I can handle it!"

Suddenly, however, a large amount of deep red magical light appeared around the Earth projection, and everyone except the rookie mage Strange changed their expressions drastically.

Wang's hands trembled slightly as he asked in surprise and uncertainty:
"This is... the Crimson Universe has invaded Earth?!"

Mordo drew the Living Tribunal's scepter and gripped it tightly. "Oh no! Could the dimensional demon Cyttorak be allied with Dormammu and have come together to invade Earth?"

Without hesitation, Harry opened a portal and stepped into deep space, leaving behind only one sentence:

“Cytorak is much stronger than Dormammu. I'll deal with him, and you can take care of Dormammu!”

Wang and Mordo nodded: "Sorcerer Supreme, you can handle Cytorak with peace of mind. Leave Dormammu to us! Strange, let's go to Hong Kong!"

Things progressed too quickly. Before Strange could think things through, he was pulled by Wong and Mordo into the portal leading to the Hong Kong Sanctuary.

The moment Strange and the others stepped out of the portal, a damp sea breeze carrying the stench of decay hit them.

The once brightly lit Victoria Harbour has vanished, replaced by a distorted chaos.

The sky was torn into a boiling purple vortex, and Dormammu's enormous phantom loomed in the depths of the clouds, its fanged maw greedily devouring the shattered remains of buildings.

On the ground, the skyscrapers of Central twisted and deformed like melting wax figures, with black, asphalt-like liquid flowing through their glass curtain walls, reflecting countless pained and distorted faces.

On the street, pedestrians' bodies were gradually assimilated by dark energy, and the purple veins that bulged and writhed under their skin were clearly visible. Their screams echoed in the thick, inky air, eventually turning into eerie whimpers.

The Hong Kong Sanctuary's buildings teetered precariously in the darkness, the runes on the exterior walls emitting a dying glow, the golden incantations being corroded by black, like fireflies struggling in the dark.

The sanctuary's gates trembled violently as they were rammed by countless dark creatures. From outside came the maniacal laughter of Kaecilius, accompanied by low chanting and ancient incantations that reverberated in the air, stirring up wave after wave of darkness.

When the three arrived near the Sanctuary, they found it completely collapsed. Mordo's expression was enigmatic and meaningful. He looked at Strange and said in a deep voice:
"The temple has collapsed; it's the Dark Dimension. Dormammu is coming!"
Damn it, it's too late. No one can stop Him.

Strange glanced down at the Eye of Agamotto hanging around his neck, made a decision in his mind, took a deep breath, and retorted:

"Not always!"

His hands moved, forming a special hand seal. Then, the Eye of Agamotto began to spin rapidly, and the Time Stone hidden within it gradually appeared before Mordo and the other man's eyes.

Kaecilius, who was some distance away, also noticed the commotion. Realizing that Strange was about to cast time magic, Kaecilius charged towards Strange without hesitation:

"No! You can't succeed!"

Kaecilius was incredibly fast, arriving in front of Strange in the blink of an eye. Just as he was about to pierce Strange's head with his energy blade, he suddenly stopped in mid-air!
At the same time, the Eye of Agamotto burst forth with a blinding green light on Strange's chest, and the mysterious patterns flowing across the gem's surface writhed violently like living things, enveloping him in a green magical aura.

He spread his arms wide, his fingertips tracing intricate rune paths. With each ray of green light that passed through, ripples spread through the air, as if the barrier of reality was being gradually torn apart.

The surrounding dark dimensions began to twist and deform, Dormammu's phantom roared angrily, and a purple energy storm swept in.

But Strange remained unmoved. He gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, and focused intently on channeling the power of the Time Stone. On the ground, buildings corrupted by darkness began to grow in reverse, collapsed walls rose again, shattered glass repaired itself, and the black tendrils on the bodies of the assimilated citizens gradually faded under the golden light.

Time began to flow backward, the seawater stopped boiling, the surging tentacles froze in mid-air, and then slowly retreated into the abyss.

The purple vortex in the sky slowly subsided, and Dormammu's phantom became transparent, letting out a resentful roar.

Strange's hair flew wildly amidst the powerful magical force, his eyes flashing with a dazzling green light. He stubbornly withstood the immense pressure, maintaining the magic and preventing the reversal of time from stopping.

As the magic continued to be cast, Hong Kong began to return to its original state, pedestrians on the streets regained their vitality, and buildings returned to their former glory.

However, just as Strange was feeling overjoyed, thinking that he was about to resolve this global crisis, a terrifying dark energy descended from the sky and landed inside Kaecilius, whose time had been reversed.

Kaecilius's body jolted, as if he had detached from his original layers and was cut off from the constantly reversing spacetime around him. With Dormammu's help, he was immune to the effects of time magic!
Mordo noticed this and realized it was Harry's doing; Harry probably didn't want Strange to get through the test so easily.

So he pretended to be serious and said:

“Dimensional demons of Dormammu’s caliber are already immune to the effects of time to a certain extent. He bestowed his power upon Kaecilius, granting Kaecilius the same immunity to time.”

"Strange, I am no match for Kaecilius now. You possess the Time Stone; use time magic to stall him. I will deal with his followers and then come to your aid!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Mordo unceremoniously threw Strange to the spot and attacked the other traitors who had broken free of time.

Strange stared blankly at Mordo's retreating figure, his face blank.

Dude, you expect me, a newbie who's been learning magic for less than a year, to hold off Casillas, who's been strengthened by the dimensional demon god, all by myself?
Do you trust me that much?

However, the bow was already on the string and had to be released. Strange reassembled the green magic circle, attempting to stop Kaecilius who was charging towards him.

Purple lightning and green light collided in the distorted spacetime rift, Kaecilius's black robes billowed, and the dark energy wrapped around his fingertips formed a distinct barrier with Strange's time magic.

Everything around them was flowing backwards, but the two seemed to be isolated from the world, as if they were at the center of a time vortex, unaffected by time and space.

"Look what you've done!" Casillas demanded. "You're shattering everyone's dream of immortality; you're preventing the world from moving towards a better future!"

Strange, amplified by the Eye of Agamotto, was temporarily able to withstand Kaecilius's frenzied attacks. Hearing Kaecilius's question, he loudly retorted:
"You think eternity is a gift? Look at your body, broken and decaying, reeking of rot. You have long been bewitched by Dormammu!"

"Shut up, you stupid bastard! It seems you'll never understand Dormammu's greatness. It seems I should do everything in my power to get rid of you!" Kaecilius raised his hand, manipulating the dimension of reality.

As he raised his hand, the ground suddenly cracked open into an abyss, and countless tentacles with fangs burst forth from the earth, quickly wrapping around Strange.

Strange's flight cloak lifted him up as if it were alive, and a golden shield glowed on his chest, but spiderweb-like cracks appeared the moment the tentacles touched it.

Just as the shield was about to break, he had a flash of inspiration and slowed down Kaecilius's time flow. Even though Kaecilius possessed the power of "Dormammu," he was still affected by the Time Stone and his speed was greatly reduced. This gave Strange time to escape and avoid the tentacles' coverage.

Even so, Strange was still at a disadvantage. He gritted his teeth, and the Eye of Agamotto on his chest emitted a dazzling green light.

Strange's body flashed rapidly in the air, splitting into several clones. These clones condensed together into Cytorak's chains and wrapped around Kaecilius, but were instantly melted by the black flames surging from Kaecilius's palm.

"These little tricks are ineffective against me!" Kaecilius laughed wildly, but just then, Mordo, who had defeated the other Kaecilius followers, arrived on the battlefield. He launched a sneak attack while Kaecilius was dealing with Strange!

Another golden rope suddenly wrapped around Casillas's feet, binding him.

Immediately afterward, before Casillas could struggle, Mordo forcefully shoved his body into the regenerating wall.

Casillas then realized what was happening and forcefully stretched out his palm: "No!"

However, it was too late, and he was soon buried by a massive amount of rocks!

Just as Strange and the others breathed a sigh of relief, intending to protect the Sanctuary from Kaecilius and his men after it was repaired, they suddenly saw another black light descend from the sky and land on the wall that had engulfed Kaecilius.

Immediately afterward, with a deafening roar, the wall shattered, sending countless rock fragments flying. Casillas escaped, gaining even greater power, and slowly floated into the air.

He gently clasped his hands together, and a visible shockwave struck Strange, sending him flying and interrupting his time magic.

As the Dark Dimension began to spread outwards again, Casillas nodded slightly.

His current strength has reached a level extremely close to that of the Sorcerer Supreme. With victory firmly in his grasp, he floats in the air, looking down at Strange and his two companions below:

"You cannot overcome what is inevitable. Look at that beautiful dark dimension, it's so gorgeous!"
That is a world beyond time, a world beyond death, where we will gain eternal life!

"Strange, pull yourself together!" Mordo came to Strange's side and snapped him out of his daze.

Even when Mordo called out to him, Strange continued to mutter to himself:
"A world beyond time!"

He looked at the Eye of Agamotto on his chest and the Time Stone within it that shimmered with green light, and a bold idea suddenly came to him.

"Transcending time, I've understood!"

The next moment, ignoring everyone, he manipulated his flight cloak to suddenly rise into the sky and rush into the dark dimension.

Kaecilius initially wanted to stop him, but seeing that his target was the Dark Dimension, he scoffed and ignored him.

Why stop someone who wants to die?
