Harry doesn't want to be a wizard, he wants to be a superhero
Chapter 294 Harry Potter, the Thunder King, 4th Year
Chapter 294 Harry Potter, the Thunder King, Fourth Year
A group of wizards huddled together, each with their wand pointed upward, and moved forward together, slowly moving across the field.
Harry squinted and examined them closely; they were wearing hoods and masks.
Above their heads, four struggling figures floated in the air, twisted into various bizarre shapes, as if the masked wizards on the ground were puppeteers, while the people above them were marionettes controlled by invisible strings emerging from their wands.
This is a levitation spell, a profound levitation spell. It works on the clothes of the four people, distributing the force evenly, making them float in the air like kites, and everything looks very natural.
Then more wizards joined the group, laughing loudly as they pointed at the bodies floating above.
As the procession grew larger, they became increasingly reckless, indiscriminately setting fire to the surrounding tents with their wands and using killing spells to kill the wizards around them.
Harry recognized the people floating in the air; one of them was Mr. Roberts, the campmaster, and the other three appeared to be his wife and children.
One of the marchers below used a magic wand to hang Mrs. Roberts upside down.
Mrs. Roberts' nightgown fell down, revealing a bunch of colorful underwear, and the crowd below screamed and cheered happily. She struggled to cover her body.
Ron stared at the youngest Muggle child, who was spinning like a top in mid-air, his head limp and tilting to one side and then to the other.
"This is outrageous..." Ron angrily rebuked with a strong sense of justice.
Hermione and Ginny rushed toward them, with Mr. Weasley following behind, and Bill, Charlie, and Percy also burst out of the tent.
They were dressed neatly, sleeves rolled up high, and looked tense. Ron's hand, gripping his wand tightly, was still trembling, as if he might strike at any moment.
“We need to help the department maintain order!” Mr. Weasley’s voice boomed over the noise as he rolled up his sleeves. “Go into the woods quickly, stay together, and don’t scatter. I’ll find you after we’ve dealt with these matters.”
Bill, Charlie, and Percy had already run towards the approaching parade, and Mr. Weasley quickly followed.
Staff from the department rushed to the scene of the accident from all directions.
"Hurry up," Fred said, grabbing Ginny's hand and dragging her into the woods.
Ron, Hermione, and George followed behind.
As they disappeared into the woods, they all turned to look behind them and suddenly realized that Harry hadn't followed.
George immediately shouted, "Harry, come quick, it's dangerous over there!"
But before he could finish speaking, Ron forcibly dragged him away, saying irritably:
"Who do you think Harry is? He has defeated the Dark Lord several times and is stronger than most Aurors. Now everyone in the wizarding world believes that he will surpass Dumbledore in the future. You should worry about yourself instead of worrying about his danger."
George scratched his forehead, feeling a little embarrassed as he thought about Harry's record.
He saw Harry walking towards the marchers, glanced at him enviously, and then turned and left.
He would rather live than become famous like the protagonist in a story or biography.
After all, unlike Harry, he is not the protagonist in the story or biography.
……
The colored lights that used to illuminate the way to the stadium have now been turned off, and the whole place is in chaos.
Of course, the dim light was no problem for Harry. The observation runes flashed in his eyes, and his vision was as bright as day, clearer than anyone else's.
When Harry arrived at the battlefield where many adult wizards and the marching crowd had already begun fighting.
From their conversation, Harry learned that the group marching was Voldemort's Death Eaters, who were using the three Unforgivable Curses and other dark magic with impunity, and had temporarily suppressed the adult wizards who had not yet gathered, thanks to their numerical advantage.
Harry even witnessed a pure-blood wizard being killed by the Killing Curse, which made him draw his wand, ready to intervene.
Although he is now working to reform the wizarding world and is hostile to the vast majority of pure-blood families, this does not mean he will allow people to be killed by evil in front of him.
This is not about stance, but based on principles.
Faced with numerous adult wizards, and unable to kill all the witnesses, Harry did not use more extreme magic such as the Split-Killing Curse, nor did he use the easily misunderstood Split spell. He simply used the Lightning Bolt, which is somewhat similar to ancient magic!
As Harry's control over magic improved, his power grew stronger.
Even now, despite being restricted by the world, he can still unleash power far exceeding that of ordinary people when using some ordinary magic.
As Harry unleashed his magic, the entire world responded to the call of the Chaos Magic.
Dark clouds churned wildly overhead, and static electricity in the air was visible to the naked eye.
Harry pointed his wand at the marching dark wizards, and a dazzling white light suddenly burst from the tip of the wand.
"Thunder and lightning!" he roared angrily, swinging his arm violently.
In an instant, a thick bolt of purple lightning shot out from the tip of the wand, like a furious dragon tearing through the dark night sky.
Where lightning struck, the air crackled with a sharp sound, and the terrified faces of the black wizards were turned deathly pale by the light.
The lightning struck them precisely, instantly enveloping them in blinding flashes of light.
Harry controlled the power of the spell, preventing them from instantly turning to ashes, but it could still render them unable to fight, and most likely cause them to faint.
The screams of the dark wizards mingled with the roar of lightning. Their bodies convulsed violently under the powerful electric shocks, and they collapsed to the ground, losing consciousness.
Harry didn't stop for a moment. His wand kept changing its trajectory, and bolts of lightning fell like raindrops, accurately striking the dark wizards who tried to resist.
The entire battlefield was shrouded in raging lightning, and the black wizards' attacks were utterly ineffective against the powerful lightning.
The wizards of the Ministry of Magic and the other adult wizards were stunned by what they saw.
Before their eyes, Harry's figure appeared and disappeared in the lightning, his eyes firm and sharp, his wand continuously spewing out destructive lightning, completely suppressing the dark wizards' offensive, like a god who controlled lightning.
Faced with such an astonishing offensive, they were unable to intervene and could only let Harry do as he pleased.
He single-handedly defeated numerous wizards, and although this magic seemed to be ancient magic with power far exceeding that of ordinary magic, it still demonstrated Harry's strength.
But when this power was linked to Harry's age, many wizards couldn't hold back any longer.
You're telling me that such a powerful wizard isn't even an adult yet?
Now, everyone had no more doubts about the rumor that Harry could surpass Dumbledore in the future. At such a young age, possessing such strength and talent, even Dumbledore was far inferior. After the battle, the charred grass still emitted wisps of smoke.
As the last bolt of lightning dissipated from the tip of Harry's wand, it was as if all sound had been sucked out of the surrounding air.
Twenty paces away, the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic remained in a half-crouched defensive posture. Only when they noticed Harry looking at them did they realize it was all over, and they relaxed with sheepish smiles.
It's no wonder they were so surprised; after all, everything before them was too surreal. So many wizards had been defeated by one person, which reminded them of Grindelwald, who had tried to burn down London single-handedly decades ago.
"Merlin's beard!" Mr. Weasley hurried over, examined Harry closely, and only after confirming he was unharmed did he relax and scold him:
“Harry, don’t be so impulsive next time. You rushed out all by yourself and used such powerful magic.”
If any Death Eater reacts quickly enough to cast a Killing Curse on you, they could potentially kill you, not to mention the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic might accidentally injure you.
Harry was always patient with those who cared about him. He didn't explain his strength; in this wizarding world, apart from the spells of Dumbledore and others, few could harm him.
He simply smiled and apologized to Mr. Weasley, indicating that he wouldn't act so impulsively next time.
At this moment, Minister Fudge finally stepped out from among the Aurors. He glanced at the charred Death Eaters on the ground, stared at Harry with considerable apprehension, hesitated for a moment, and asked:
Are they all dead?
Harry shook his head and explained, "No, they were just knocked unconscious by the electric shock and are seriously injured. However, if they are not treated, their injuries may worsen and they may die."
"That's good." Minister Fudge breathed a sigh of relief and ordered the others to treat the Death Eaters, as he still wanted to get information about the Dark Lord from them.
……
A few days later, Harry woke up, went to the next room to wake Hermione, and after washing up, he got out of his suitcase and went to the Weasleys’ Burrow.
Mrs. Weasley had already prepared breakfast, the familiar bread and mushroom stew. Although it wasn't the best-tasting, it had a comforting flavor, and Harry thought it was alright.
After breakfast, the Weasleys, along with Harry and Hermione, traveled to Diagon Alley via the Floop Network to purchase more textbooks and materials needed for their fourth year. Afterward, they left Diagon Alley for King's Cross Station.
Upon entering Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, the Hogwarts Express was already there, a deep red steam locomotive belching thick smoke.
Once aboard the train, Harry, Ron, and Hermione began looking for seats, and soon they had moved their luggage into a compartment.
Then they hopped back onto the platform and said goodbye to Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Charlie.
"Maybe I'll see you all soon," Charlie said with a smile as he hugged Ginny and said goodbye.
"Why?" Fred asked eagerly.
"You'll find out," Charlie said, "Don't tell Percy I mentioned this... You know, this is 'top secret information, and it will not be released until the Ministry of Magic sees fit'."
"Ah, I really wish I could go back to Hogwarts this year." Bill said, his hands in his pockets, his eyes fixed on the train, looking somewhat wistful.
"Why?" George asked impatiently.
"You're going to have an interesting year," Bill said, his eyes twinkling. "I might take some time off to watch some of it..."
"Part of what?" asked Ron.
But just then the whistle blew and Mrs. Weasley rushed them towards the car door.
“Thank you for letting us stay, Mrs. Weasley,” Hermione said.
By then they had boarded the train and closed the doors. She leaned out of the window and spoke to Mrs. Weasley.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, Mrs. Weasley,” Harry said with a smile.
On the way to Hogwarts, Ron was a little unhappy:
"Have you noticed that Mom and Bill are hiding something from us? Most importantly, they are deliberately trying to pique our interest without telling us anything."
Hermione nodded, but she was much more mature than Ron. "It might be something we can't know. We'll find out as things develop."
Ron was somewhat dissatisfied with Hermione's answer. He looked at Harry and asked:
"Harry, aren't you curious?"
Harry learned from Dumbledore that Mrs. Weasley was hiding something, but this matter couldn't be spread now, so he couldn't tell Ron and Hermione:
"I'm not curious, we'll find out when the time comes."
Ron asked with some skepticism, "You and Professor Dumbledore are such good friends, and you've been writing letters to each other privately. You must know what's going on."
Harry smiled and shook his head.
“You knew all along!” Ron shouted.
……
The opening ceremony was still held in the auditorium, along with the annual college sorting ceremony.
The Sorting Hat changed its opening song, followed by the usual Sorting, but this time the first person wasn't Hannah Abbott.
After the Sorting Ceremony, it's dinner time, and the dinner after each Sorting Ceremony is always the best meal.
After dinner, Albus Dumbledore stood up, and the buzzing in the hall immediately stopped, with only the howling wind and the pounding rain to be heard.
"Alright!" Dumbledore said with a smile, looking at everyone.
"Now that we have all eaten and drunk our fill, I must once again ask everyone to pay attention, as I have a few announcements to make."
As before, I want to remind everyone that students are not allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest over there, and students below the third grade are not allowed to visit Hogsmeade Village.
I also regret to inform you that the College Quidditch tournament will not be held this year.
"What?" The young wizards were all surprised.
Dumbledore continued:
"This is because a large event will begin in October and continue throughout the school year, taking up a lot of teachers' time and energy."
But I believe you will all have a lot of fun, and I am very happy to announce that this year at Hogwarts…”
Just then, a deafening clap of thunder rang out, and the auditorium doors were slammed open.
A man emerged from the doorway, leaning on a long cane and draped in a black travel cloak, looking quite mysterious.
