Harry doesn't want to be a wizard, he wants to be a superhero

Chapter 316 Mr. Fantastic: Without us, Asgard is doomed. Thor: We have Harry!

Chapter 316 Mr. Fantastic: Without us, Asgard is doomed. Thor: We have Harry!
Outside a base suspended in geosynchronous orbit, a beam of light suddenly fell inside the base.

When the light faded, Harry and Thor found themselves in an unfamiliar place.

The first thing that catches the eye is a huge circular hall, with a dome at the top made of countless shimmering blue crystals. These crystals intertwine to form intricate and beautiful patterns, like a flowing starry sky.

In the center of the hall, there is a huge holographic projection platform displaying various mysterious symbols and ever-changing energy curves. Surrounding it is a ring of control panels, each displaying strangely shaped technological artifacts.

Directly in front of Harry and Thor, several figures stood there, smiling as they looked at Harry and explained:

"Don't worry, friends, you've been rescued. We used an interdimensional teleportation device to pull you out of Ultron's encirclement."

Harry looked at the group of people in front of him with a strange expression. He recognized them as Christine, one of the Fantastic Four and Strange's girlfriend.

However, he also knew that the people in front of him were not from his universe, but from other universes.

This inevitably reminded Harry of an organization with considerable renown in the multiverse—the Illuminati.

The Illuminati was founded by Mister Fantastic, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Professor X, Black Bolt, and Namor. Its purpose is somewhat similar to that of the Avengers, mainly to deal with individuals or groups that can pose a threat to the world.

Among them, Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic are both exceptionally intelligent individuals. They collaborate with other scientists to invent numerous unimaginable technological creations.

For example, that golden ray of light that ignored space and hit him directly should be one of the more powerful ones among those technological creations.

Suddenly being dragged to an unfamiliar place by a group of strangers, coupled with his need to save his people, even though Thor's temperament had become much calmer after many experiences, he still became irritable at this moment:
"Who are you? Why did you bring us here? I need to get back quickly. My people are bleeding, and someone is dying every second. They are waiting for me to save them."

Mr. Fantastic Reed Richards raised his hand and drew an arc in the air, and a floating holographic screen suddenly unfolded between the two of them.

Thor's roar abruptly ceased—on the screen, Asgard's golden walls were being bombarded by the Kree's energy cannons, yet the flying debris hung suspended in mid-air, and even the smoke solidified into translucent clouds.

His comrades stood frozen in place, weapons in hand. A young soldier's battle axe had just cleaved open a Kree soldier's helmet, and the soldier's terrified expression was captured in perfect detail.

Reed lightly tapped the screen with his fingertip, and the image immediately zoomed in. He explained with a touch of pride:

"Don't worry about Thor. No matter how long you stay in the Illuminati, it won't affect the war."

We have used a time-stabilizing device to imprison time in Asgard, and now the flow of time there is stopped.

Simply put, time flows at zero in Asgard right now. Whether you argue here for an hour or three days, the battle there won't advance a single step.

Thor was somewhat bewildered by the scene before him. He turned to look at Harry, and only after seeing Harry nod slightly did he breathe a sigh of relief.

He slowly unclenched his fist, regained his composure, and looked directly at Mr. Wonder in front of him, saying:

"What is your purpose? Why are you helping us?"

Mr. Fantastic brought up another image, which showed a mechanical giant that was three meters tall.

This mechanical giant was covered in intricate magical runes and exuded an astonishing aura.

What surprised Thor even more was that there were six colorful Infinity Stones embedded in the chest of this mechanical giant.

Mr. Fantastic continued, “This is Ultron, an artificial intelligence that mutated because of the Mind Stone. He has almost unlimited growth potential.”

Not long ago, he completed his magical vibranium body and collected six Infinity Stones from a certain universe, which he embedded in his chest to provide him with a continuous source of power.

After that, he began to develop his mechanical army on a massive scale, and your world is now within his ambition.

Because he needed massive amounts of metal, especially some high-strength magical alloys, he searched throughout the multiverse for the weaker Asgards, trying every means to invade them and seize Uru alloys.

In your universe, Odin has only recently died, and Asgard is at its weakest point in thousands of years.

So he hacked into the supreme wisdom of the Kree Empire, used the Kree Empire's resources to create a mechanical legion, and went to invade Asgard.

We need to do everything in our power to stop Ultron's plan, otherwise, if we allow him to collect enough magical alloys to create even more powerful machines, he might become a new catastrophe in the entire multiverse.

After saying that, Mr. Fantastic took a glass of water from somewhere and slowly drank it down, while waiting for Thor and the other man to express their gratitude.

Thor and a sorcerer are both talented individuals; after some evaluation, they might be able to be recruited into the Illuminati.

But after a long time, there was still no movement ahead. Mr. Fantastic was a little unhappy. After all, he had saved the two of them, and they couldn't just leave without any thanks, could they?
Even if you don't give a gift, you should at least express your gratitude verbally, right?
Mr. Fantastic was, after all, a genius, and he didn't show his displeasure on the surface. However, the Human Torch behind him didn't have such good manners.

Human Torch stepped forward, stood in front of Mr. Fantastic, and said to Harry and his companion with an unhappy expression:
"What's wrong with you? We saved you, and you don't even want to say thank you? At least say thank you."

Thor glanced at Harry, and seeing that Harry didn't react at all, he sighed and said to the two of them with a hint of helplessness:
"Did you thoroughly investigate the situation before taking action? Can this so-called Ultron really conquer Asgard?"

Thor's words made the Human Torch even more unhappy. He looked disdainful and said matter-of-factly:
"After Odin died, Asgard was unable to even withstand the Kree's attack, let alone Ultron, who possessed the six Infinity Stones."

If things go as expected, Asgard will hold out for at most three more days, after which it will be completely conquered and occupied.

Thor fell silent.

Indeed, what the Human Torch said was correct. If they relied solely on Asgard, they would not be able to hold out for long before their fighting strength was breached.

But that's without any outside help!

So Thor asked, "Are you so sure Asgard will be taken over? Isn't there any possibility that we'll seek outside help?"
"Who else can you Asgardians find to fight the Kree? Even if you can defeat the Kree, who can fight Ultron with the six-stone gem?" The Human Torch glanced at Thor and said disdainfully.

Now Thor was completely certain that this seemingly powerful Illuminati organization knew nothing about Harry.

At this moment, Solton immediately lost his fear of this unknown organization and regained his confidence.

He pointed at Harry and asked, "Do you know who he is?" The Human Torch was puzzled. "He's just an ordinary wizard, who else could he be?"

Thor stopped looking at the fool and focused his gaze on Mr. Fantastic, who, as expected, looked thoughtful.

However, Mr. Fantastic was ultimately someone focused on experiments and not very knowledgeable about the various aspects of the multiverse, so he didn't recognize Harry and instead asked his friends behind him:
"Do you know him?"

Most people shook their heads, but Doctor Strange from this universe stared intently at Harry's face, as if he had just realized something, and exclaimed in shock:
"The Godslayer—Harry Potter!"

"Godslayer?" Mr. Fantastic abruptly stopped pushing up his glasses, his finger, which had been swiping across the holographic screen, hovering in mid-air.

He quickly accessed the database, his fingers flying across the virtual keyboard, and a wealth of information about Harry immediately appeared on the screen.

Strangely, however, all the descriptions of Harry's appearance in these messages are very blurry, as his surface is almost entirely obscured by a layer of dazzling energy, making it impossible to see his specific features.

Harry deliberately avoided revealing his appearance throughout, so as to prevent people from other universes from going to his universe because of his fame.

After all, the people in this world who can traverse parallel universes are all powerful individuals with considerable abilities, and there are bound to be some bad guys among them. Even Harry would be troubled if his universe were to be invaded on a large scale by these people.

This is also the specific reason why Mr. Fantastic didn't realize Harry's identity at first.

Of course, in addition to this, it's also because every time Harry enters a state of complete spacetime, he gains the ability to influence the multiverse.

He took advantage of that time to erase his information in other parallel universes, which made most forces unaware of Harry's specific appearance or which numbered universe he was in.

Hydra and other organizations that previously invaded Harry's universe dared to do so for this very reason.

Otherwise, they would simply avoid them from afar.

After all, the multiverse is endless, and there's no need to gnaw on hard bones when there's bread.

Harry's identity shocked the Illuminati members, but they quickly came to their senses.

With Harry Potter, the Godslayer, around, was their belief that they could help Asgard defeat the six-gem Ultron really necessary?
Even if Ultron, with his six gems, is strong, he's still only a single-universe level powerhouse, while Harry Potter caused even Mephisto, who is at the multiverse level, to suffer a great loss.

The Illuminati members were somewhat embarrassed, especially the Human Torch, who had just mocked Thor and his companion for being ungrateful, but he never expected to be the one making the joke.

The atmosphere among everyone suddenly became somewhat awkward.

Finally, Thor spoke first: "Don't feel too guilty. Although what you did didn't help us at all, it was out of good intentions..."

After a while, Thor shut up.

He found that his persuasion had no effect and only made the members of the Illuminati look even uglier.

Harry, standing to the side, rubbed his forehead, looking somewhat helpless.

It's not Thor, Thor, are you offering advice or subtly mocking me?
Mr. Fantastic knew that Thor meant no harm; after all, that was just his personality, as was the case in most parallel universes.

He paused for a moment, then asked thoughtfully, "Since Mr. Potter is here, then what we've done is redundant. We'll send you back now and deactivate the time-stabilizing device. I'm sure you'll be able to deal with Ultron quickly."

Harry shook his head, declining Mr. Fantastic's offer:
"We would appreciate it if the Illuminati could accompany us. After all, our enemy is Ultron, and you are more familiar with Ultron's various abilities, which would surely be of great help to us."

Moreover, facing a powerhouse at the level of a single universe, I would need to unleash even more power, which would be difficult to control and could potentially cause an even greater crisis.

The Illuminati members exchanged bewildered glances, but in the end, Mr. Fantastic agreed to Harry's suggestion.

………………

The Illuminati ultimately decided that Doctor Strange would lead the members of the Illuminati to assist Asgard.

Led by Doctor Strange, the group arrived at a secret room.

After entering a complex password and undergoing complicated tests such as fingerprints, pupil scans, and blood tests, the door to the secret room was finally slowly opened.

Upon entering, Harry and Thor discovered a large, circular metal gate, approximately 10 meters in diameter.

Inside the gate was a constantly rotating energy vortex, like a wormhole, whose destination was unknown.

Harry looked at the circular metal door and asked curiously, "Is this the instrument you use to travel between parallel universes?"

Doctor Strange nodded and explained:
"Reed and Tony are both geniuses."

The interdimensional teleportation device they jointly developed could transport us to most of the universes, or even dimensions.

One of the functions of this instrument was to transport you to the golden light corridor of the Illuminati.

Faced with such amazing technology, even Thor, the prince of Asgard, was shocked: "It's incredible. If only Asgard had a transdimensional teleportation device."

Suddenly, Doctor Strange from this universe laughed and said, "Then you can ask Wizard Potter for help. With his magical abilities, he can already fix portals that cross different universes."

Doctor Strange depicts Harry with great respect.

This is understandable, since Kamar-Taj in different universes has been having a much better time lately because of Harry's various achievements. After all, most of the dimensional demons who are hostile to Kamar-Taj have focused their attention on Harry and temporarily put them aside.

Harry was also an exceptionally powerful wizard, possessing all sorts of incredible magic, and was naturally revered by many wizards from multiple dimensions.

After the interdimensional teleportation device was activated, the group stepped inside. When they opened their eyes again, they were already above Asgard.
