Chapter 159 The Super Death Knell Project

Chapter 159 The Super Death Knell Project
The battle between the elderly Bruce Wayne and the death knell did not become the death knell of death.

The president and army officers got into a fight. The general had never seen anything like it before and was truly amazed today.

The black general also intervened immediately, stopping Slade Wilson and Bruce's fight.

“Mr. President, we know you are in excellent physical condition, like a young man, but could you please consider our feelings?” the black general said.

“I was just testing the abilities of a former Super Soldier program candidate, and he met my expectations,” Bruce said.

“…” Slade Wilson remained silent. He was now very eager to figure out why he had been summoned to meet with the president. Was the Super Soldier program about to be restarted?
Slade was right; Bruce did indeed intend to reboot the Super Soldier program in his own way.

Instead of genetically modifying the test subjects, they use advanced combat equipment to enhance the individual combat capabilities of soldiers, turning ordinary soldiers into super soldiers.

“This is Wayne Enterprises’ newly developed individual combat equipment. Lieutenant Colonel Slade Wilson, put it on and experience it for yourself, then show it to us,” Bruce said.

"Yes."

Bruce had already tested the newly developed individual combat equipment inside the Bat Cave, and the version now being handed over to the military for testing under his very nose has had the bat symbol removed.

The fully armed individual combat gear can be put on within three minutes. The head is a one-piece faceplate, unlike Batman who exposes his chin, providing complete head protection.

After putting it on, Slade Wilson felt that his breathing was being interfered with by the individual combat gear.

He moved his limbs and could barely feel the presence of his exoskeleton system, which was assisting his physical mobility.

“Let’s do something big,” Bruce said to Slade Wilson.

Slade Wilson heard Bruce's words and did a backflip.

A series of backflips...

The full-body combat gear looked heavy, but Slade Wilson moved with remarkable ease, showing no signs of clumsiness.

"Mr. President, is this equipment suitable for anyone?" the general asked curiously.

“There’s another set, General, you can try it on yourself,” Bruce said.

"Shall I come?"

The Black general also put on the second set of Super Soldier individual combat gear.

Having experienced it firsthand, the Black general felt it was somewhat impressive, but not quite super impressive, and the soldiers wearing this combat gear couldn't be considered super soldiers either.

"The basic test is complete. Now we will begin the advanced test," Bruce said.

"Advanced test, how do I advance?" the general asked, somewhat puzzled.

"General, start the computer," Bruce said.

How do I start it?

"Use your language."

"Computer, start up."

Slade and the general both felt a chill run down their spines; the combat computer on their individual soldier equipment had caused a strange change in their gear.

“You guys can have a little fight and see,” Bruce said.

Their president spoke up, and without any hesitation, they immediately started fighting.

Before the fight started, the black general was somewhat uneasy, fearing that he would lose to Lieutenant Colonel Slade and lose face in front of the other officers. However, once the fight began, the general found that he could fight without thinking, and his body moved on its own.

"How is this going!?"

“This is the computer’s assisted combat capability,” Bruce said. After a few minutes, the general wanted to do something more hardcore.

"I would like to request a live-fire test," the general said.

"Live ammunition...how about we attack you?"

The general nodded.

The testing site was changed, and Bruce and a group of Army officers went to the firing range, where Slade Wilson conducted live-fire tests on the general's combat performance while he was wearing combat gear.

Slade Wilson kept firing at the general. The computer calculated the trajectory of each bullet, helping the general dodge every single one of Slade's bullets. The bullets that couldn't be avoided were blocked by the equipment, which had excellent protective capabilities.

Slade fired a rocket at the general, who was engulfed in the explosion, but emerged unharmed after the smoke cleared.

“That’s enough. Further testing will require missiles, but this equipment can’t stop them,” Bruce said.

Both the general and Slade Wilson took off their equipment, with the general looking somewhat reluctant to leave.

"Do you sense anything is wrong?" Bruce asked.

"Mr. President, why not just build combat robots?" Slade asked.

"Yes!?" The general seemed to suddenly realize.

"We need to consider the technological capabilities of our enemies. What if they use combat robots to control us technologically?"

"Does employing people prevent us from being controlled?" Slade asked.

"That's the next test. Let's move to another location."

Slade Wilson left the military camp and, as a test subject of the New Super Soldier program, followed Bruce Wayne to the interplanetary laboratory where Silas Stone worked.

The Mother Box, currently in human custody, is in the interplanetary laboratory, where Silas Stone is in charge of its research.

Bruce brought Slade Wilson to the interstellar research lab to test the anti-jamming capabilities of the super soldier combat equipment, preparing for future wars and going straight to the Mother Box for testing.

“Mr. President, I’m not sure the box will react…” Dr. Stone said with some concern.

"Is the isolation room ready? Slade is ready."

Slade Wilson nodded to Silas Stone.

"Ok."

Dr. Stone decided to go all out and have Slade Wilson and the Mother Box undergo this inexplicable interference test together in the isolation observation room.

Electromagnetic waves are emitted towards the mother box using specialized equipment to induce a reaction, and then the reaction of the super soldier's combat equipment under the influence of the mother box is observed...

Testing begins.

Slade Wilson waited nervously in the isolation room, feeling as if he had been put into a giant microwave oven.

Stimulated by electromagnetic waves, the mother box began to vibrate, an electric arc surged from it, and the mother box floated up...

"Why is his heart beating so fast? Isn't that abnormal?" Dr. Stone asked.

"He's probably just nervous right now," Bruce said, somewhat unsure.

The vibration of the mother box seemed to cause the entire isolation chamber to vibrate, and the entire laboratory to shake as well!
