“Of course I have practiced Buddhism. I have followed the monks of Baoxiang Temple and Boyue Temple in my practice.”

"That is a form of ascetic practice."

"Standing silently under the scorching sun, with your skin burning and your mouth dry, you have to keep going until you no longer feel the pain and thirst."

"In the midst of fierce winds and torrential rain, let the raindrops soak your entire body, every part completely drenched, the torrential rain making it impossible to open your eyes. Also, stand still, so that your body no longer feels the cold, and your whole body becomes numb and stiff."

“The monks say that this is the way the Buddha practiced. If you persist in it, you are on the path to Buddhahood.”

"I've also learned breathing techniques."

"At first it was just reducing breathing, then slightly breathing, and finally almost no breathing, holding your breath completely."

"Control your heartbeat by controlling your breathing, keep your heartbeat steady, reduce the number of heartbeats, and keep practicing until your heart almost stops beating."

"The method of meditation is to abandon self-consciousness and let one's soul transform into other things in the world. It can become a soaring eagle, a dead wolf on a desolate mountain, or even a stone."

"It is said that this is a method to transcend reincarnation, which can transform the self into countless unfamiliar beings and escape the suffering of reincarnation."

Listening to the monk Dayuan recount his past spiritual practice by the roadside, I was deeply moved.

This is a very pure spiritual practice, which takes the path of transcendence through divinity.

However, this spiritual practice is very ancient and depends heavily on a person's talent and comprehension; some people practice it their whole lives but never attain Nirvana.

“Since you, monk, have shared your cultivation with me, I will also tell you about my and Chenxiang’s cultivation.”

He asked the monk Dayuan to take off his robe and gave it to him by the roadside. Then, he used magnetic field power to write the "Dharma Sutra" on the monk Dayuan's robe.

"This is?"

"This is the 'Dharma Sutra,' from which Chenxiang and I gained our power."

"Bodhidharma?"

"Whose scripture is this?" The monk Dayuan glanced at the beginning of the "Dharma Sutra" and realized it was a scripture he had never read before.

"Bodhidharma was a wise man from the East who founded a sect and is known as the Patriarch Bodhidharma," the roadside explained.

The monk Dayuan eagerly picked up his robe and began reading the "Dharma Sutra".

The words "written" on the robe by the power of magnetic fields cannot be erased. To make the scriptures disappear, the entire robe would have to be destroyed. However, the robe is protected by the scriptures formed by the power of magnetic fields, and the robe of the monk Dayuan has been transformed by the roadside into an incorruptible treasure.

The sutra records the deeds of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's own cultivation, describes the conditions of hell, explains various methods of repentance for karmic obstacles and relief from suffering, and can eliminate immeasurable sins.

The purpose and principles explained in the Bodhidharma Sutra are all contained within it.

The monk Dayuan, the reincarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, was completely immersed in the Dharma Sutra.
