Chapter 401 True Life Only Comes Once

Chapter 401 True Life Only Comes Once

You mean Erlang Shen?

Peacock thought Nezha could invite some other great god, but he didn't expect to invite a little saint from Guanjiang Estuary. He couldn't help but smile.

"Bodhisattva, why are you laughing?" Nezha asked.

"That Erlang Shen is indeed quite capable, but you have no idea how powerful my brother is."

"A thousand years ago, the Monkey King wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace. Guanyin Bodhisattva recommended Erlang Shen to help Heaven subdue the demon. However, the two fought to a draw. If it weren't for Laozi's intervention, the outcome would have been uncertain."

"On the journey to the West, the monkey met my brother. He couldn't win the fight and tried to escape by somersaulting. When the roc tried to catch up with the monkey by flapping its wings, it grabbed him and held him in its grasp."

"A monkey can travel 108,000 li in a single somersault, but the roc can travel 90,000 li with a single flap of its wings."

"The monkey used all seventy-two transformations to escape from the roc's claws, but he could not get away. In the end, he was tied up by a little demon for half the night before he sneaked away to the Western Paradise to cry to the Buddha. The Buddha came with all the Bodhisattvas and five hundred Arhats and only then was the monkey able to get through this ordeal."

"Then who can subdue the Golden-Winged Roc now? Bodhisattva, are you less capable than your brother?" Nezha asked bluntly.

“We were born in the same nest, but we have different strengths. His greatest strength is competing and fighting with others.”

Nezha's face was icy cold.

"No matter what."

"The three demons, the Green Lion Demon, the White Elephant Demon, and the Golden-Winged Roc, must be eliminated. It would be better to kill the Green Lion and the White Elephant and leave only him."

"Since we can't solve the problem all at once, let's solve it gradually."

"Please have Second Brother entangle the Roc, and let the Bodhisattva help me kill the Green Lion and White Elephant."

Princess Iron Fan shook her head, attracting the attention of Nezha and the Peacock.

“The forces under the three demon kings are not that simple. Even if we only kill the Green Lion and the White Elephant, the demon kingdom can still function as usual,” Princess Iron Fan said.

“When a demon rises to power, the leader is always the strongest, while the lesser demons are weak. If the leader is killed, the lesser demons perish,” Nezha said.

"That was before. Although the Azure Lion, White Elephant, and Roc are now the three kings of the Demon Kingdom, they still have several powerful demons under their command."

“Manjushri Bodhisattva has two lion mounts. The Blue Lion King is one of them, but there is another lion.”

“I know that lion was slapped,” someone by the roadside said.

"Slapped!?"

Everyone in the main room was surprised; this was such a secret, and it was the first time they had ever heard of it.

"So that's how it is..." Princess Iron Fan said thoughtfully.

"What's wrong, Mother?" Red Boy asked.

"The Kingdom of Ten Thousand Demons adopted the structure of the human kingdom's court to appoint officials to positions among the demons, and gave that lion the position of Chief Steward of Internal Affairs," Princess Iron Fan said.

"That lion visited Mount Cuiyun not long ago, wanting me to become a female official in the Kingdom of Ten Thousand Demons. I didn't want to go, but I recommended your uncle," Princess Iron Fan said to Red Boy.

"My father has so many sworn brothers, which one of them is my uncle?"

“Your father became a Bodhisattva, your uncle became the Victorious Fighting Buddha, and the seven great demon saints of the past have all reformed. Who else can I recommend?” Princess Iron Fan retorted.

"So it's the Taoist priest who sells water, Uncle." Red Boy was speechless.

Red Boy couldn't understand why his uncles, each possessing extraordinary abilities and being among the best heroes in the world, would have a sworn brother who was a coward and whose skills were even inferior to his own.

"Tell me quickly, who else in the Demon Kingdom possesses formidable abilities?" Nezha asked Princess Iron Fan. "The yellow-haired weasel spirit, who was once subdued by Bodhisattva Lingji of Mount Sumeru, can wield the Samadhi Divine Wind, and was also defeated by my husband's brother," Princess Iron Fan replied.

Princess Iron Fan still harbored resentment towards Sun Wukong. Calling him "monkey" in front of others was too impolite; addressing him as "Great Sage" made her feel inferior to a monkey; and calling him "Victorious Fighting Buddha" made her seem distant from her husband…

This caused the Rakshasa woman to keep changing how she addressed Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, the Fighting Buddha.

"Huang Mei was once a page under Maitreya Bodhisattva. He was quite skilled in martial arts. When he had Maitreya Bodhisattva's magic weapon, none of the gods in Heaven could do anything to him. Now, however, his abilities have weakened considerably. The Golden-Winged Roc is backing this guy up, allowing him to establish a new Great Thunderclap Temple, with the intention of annotating the Buddhist scriptures of the Three Realms and Four Continents according to their own interpretation."

"Little Crocodile Dragon, the ninth son of the Jing River Dragon King, has been reflecting on his mistakes on the banks of the Blackwater River for hundreds of years and is skilled in naval warfare."

"In the Spider Cave, there was a nest of spider demons. The eldest of the spider demons caught the eye of the Roc, who wanted to take her as his concubine..."

"The Nine-Headed Insect with only eight heads, the son-in-law of the dead Bibo Pool Wansheng Old Dragon, had one of his heads bitten off by the Howling Celestial Dog and fled to the north, but has now returned. His mother-in-law, the Dragon Granny, is still alive and has been granted the military rank of general in the Demon Kingdom."

"The Golden Snake Demon is a rising star among demons, whose fame only spread after the establishment of the Demon Kingdom. She isn't particularly skilled, but I've heard she's very clever."

Princess Iron Fan spoke so much that her mouth got dry, so she took a sip of tea.

"Is there anything else?" Nezha asked.

"That's all I know. There must be other powerful monsters out there. Xiniu Hezhou is so vast, how could there only be so few of them?"

"The Golden-Winged Roc isn't just sitting at home waiting for other monsters to come to him; he wants to gather all the demons in the world around him to accomplish great things together," Princess Iron Fan said.

"What big thing is it?" Nezha asked.

"To defy the heavens and defy them," Princess Iron Fan said.

"How could he possibly do something like that?" Nezha almost laughed.

“Collusion between insiders and outsiders,” Princess Iron Fan said.

"..." Nezha's heart sank.

He suddenly realized that there seemed to be a slight possibility.

The green lion and white elephant are the mounts of Manjushri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and there are quite a few similar creatures in the Heavenly Court.

Laozi's family has a green ox, Taiyi Tianzun has the Nine-Headed Lion, the Twenty-Eight Constellations are all demon gods, and each great god has many servants around them.

If there are demons colluding and plotting within, turning against their master, then the Three Realms will truly be in turmoil.

Nezha was very clear about one thing.

Gods, Buddhas, immortals, and saints are all human beings. No one is immortal; they have only attained longevity and can live as long as heaven and earth.

And if an accident occurs, death will also befall the gods, Buddhas, immortals, and saints.

The lucky ones can be reincarnated and return, while the unlucky ones will be scattered and vanish, turning into a handful of ashes.

This is the natural cycle; even the heavens and earth have their end. No one can remain strong forever, and nothing can exist eternally.

If the Jade Emperor knew that someone else wanted to take his place, he would just smile calmly and see if the other party had the ability to seize it and whether they could withstand the pressure.

Nezha was unaware of the thoughts of the great figures in the Three Realms, and he never understood why the Supreme Being was so tranquil and inactive.

Nezha didn't think too much about it; he only felt that the peace of the Three Realms was facing a huge challenge.
