Chapter 262, Part 3, Nurgle: This place is destined for me; Part 9, Tzeentch: Same.
Avar.
It is a knightly world that guards the triple gate of the empire.
Triple Gate Star is an extremely important planet in the Extreme Starry Sky.
Within this region lies an armory assembled from three star systems, and each star system contains three forging worlds.
There were nine furnace planets in total, which produced parts for the main battle tanks of the human empire. However, with the emergence of the Chaos Rift, this world completely lost contact with the human empire, and these nine planets became the places that Chaos most wanted to plunder.
In the early stages of the Great Rift, some traitors discovered that the abnormal phenomenon of psionic awakening was rampant in the Triple Forging Cluster. As a result, the Legion of the Thousand Sons began to support the Chaos Cult on a large scale here, and through these corrupted Chaos Cults, further corrupted the high-ranking administrators and even planetary governors, thereby seizing control of the entire cluster.
After all, this planet has nine forged planets, and the number nine is the sect number of the Tzeentch Cult. Clearly, these planets contain some kind of cosmic law and belong to the Tzeentch.
However, when Tzeentch's Thousand Sons Warband set its sights on this planet...
After the defeat at Abaddon's Great Crusade, Nurgle's rage over the angels' souls being torn apart and forcibly taken from his hands shook the entire garden. News of the Father's wrath reached Mortalian's world of the dead from Nurgle's garden.
Mortarion then issued an order to use his legion of the dead to help N'Nargle regain the angelic soul fragments he desired. To obtain the soul fragments, they would need to rely on worlds in the real universe to build worlds where soldiers could be stationed, more servants of the Father could be recruited, and more N'Nargle believers could be converted into followers.
Mortarion dispatched the second and fourth Plague Alliances from the Death Guard to plot the takeover of the planet.
Because this planet has three interconnected planetary worlds, and three represents Nurgle's three cycles of reincarnation, from corruption to rebirth, this is clearly the most crucial content in Nurgle's doctrine that aligns with their numerical teachings.
So they excitedly dispatched two powerful fleets to head directly for the planet. However, as soon as the two plague-ridden fleets landed on the surface of the planet, they quickly smelled the stench of Tzeentch's psionic magic.
The Death Guard instantly understood that these Thousand Legions had visited this place before, and they even saw symbols and marks left by Tzeentch on the ground. The Tzeentch cult in this world was at war with the loyalists of the Empire.
The Death Legion, knowing that Tzeentch's followers were here, was incredibly excited and thrilled.
This time it's not about plundering so-called material things.
Rather, it is a struggle over ideologies.
They need to prove their father right. The Death Guards never miss an opportunity to prove that Nurgle is better than Tzeentch.
In fact, this strong competitive mindset...
It's not something that's only appeared now.
It already existed during the Great Expedition.
During the Great Crusade, before Horus's betrayal, the relationship between the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Legions was already very tense.
Mortarion's aversion to psionic powers, to the Thousand Sons who use psionic powers, and to Primarch Magnus, who is also a Primarch, far surpasses that of anyone else. In fact, even the Wolf King Ruth does not share his level of hatred for Primarch Magnus.
Mortarion was originally a loyalist. He repeatedly told the Emperor that he wanted to eliminate Magnus, who used psionic powers, and his Thousand Legions. However, the Emperor ignored his requests. When Magnus's use of psionic powers caused chaos in the Empire, Mortarion did not join the Chaos immediately.
However, he was still betrayed by his own people. He passively accepted the psychic powers he didn't want and became the person he hated most.
If we were to say who the Death Guard hates the most...
That must be the Thousand Sons' wizarding corps.
During many Great Crusades, even Abaddon would not allow the Death Guard and the Thousand Sons to unite and cooperate, because if they were not careful, the Death Guard would turn around and attack Magnus's wizards.
So here, upon seeing the wizarding order, these Death Guardians immediately threw themselves into their usual operations of spreading the plague, recruiting Nurgle followers, and slaughtering Tzeentch's henchmen.
From both sides' perspectives.
This triple gate exists specifically for my arrival; all three are connected to me by fate.
According to the followers of Tzeentch, there are nine casting worlds here, which are obviously related to Tzeentch's sacred numbers and must belong to Tzeentch.
To the followers of Nurgle, this place is a series of three equal rings, which must be Nurgle's chosen land.
The ideological clash between the two sides was merely superficial. From the perspective of the Nurgle Death Guards, whether they could capture the enemy base was another matter, but killing the Thousand Sons was certainly no problem. The Nurgle spirits then released the Rust virus they had brought into the factories.
The temple factory that could produce Leman Rust Tank weapons was filled with a large number of church monks and soldiers sent by the Mechanicus. In a short period of time after being infected with the Rust virus, the virus began to distort these tank-like creations, which were clearly made of metal, at a visible speed, and caused the weapons to grow deformed tentacles and bodies. Weapons began to grow on the bodies of those tanks.
Imperial soldiers began their assault on Nurgle's second largest company.
Meanwhile, Nurgle's fourth leader, the Misery, and Tzeentch's psionic wizards begin vying for the psionic power to forge the world.
The Death Guards of the Fourth Great City are skilled in psionic abilities. They are the gathering place for Legion wizards, and their greatest expertise lies in using various Nurgle spells and sacrificial rituals to summon Nurgle demons. The Forgeworld, due to the tear in the warp, has seen a surge in psionicists, making it practically their wholesale market.
They can freely use the souls of these psionicists to summon Nurgle demons on a large scale and perform even more blasphemous rituals.
The Death Wizard and the Tzeentch Wizard engaged in a great battle of psychic magic.
The filthy viral mudslides used by Nurgle were constantly extinguishing the devastating firestorms created by the Tzeentch wizard. As their magic clashed, the surrounding terrain was being altered. The entire Forge world was engulfed in a chaotic torrent, with numerous mountains collapsing, rivers receding, and factories groaning under the pressure of the psionic storm.
The tides of psionic energy tore the earth apart; this cataclysmic battle made it almost impossible for the mortals who forged the world to open their eyes.
The enraged Thousand Sons, manipulating psychic powers, twisted the planet's animals, fusing them with humans to create a vast army of beasts in the warp. Meanwhile, Nurgle's blasphemers excitedly used their demonic engines to attack these Tzeentch wizards.
The worse Tzeentch was beaten by them, the more excited they became.
The more dejected they became, the more excited they became.
The firepower of the Blasphemeral demon engine relentlessly tore apart the chaotic beasts created by the Thousand Sons Wizard.
Meanwhile, the Thousand Sons' Scarab Terminator battles the Wither Overlord Terminator from the Death Guard.
Both sides are now in a bloodthirsty frenzy.
Imperial soldiers and friars were also drawn into the war.
The Mechanicus were fighting Tzeentch when, in an instant, Nurgle's followers appeared behind them. A large number of soldiers were thrown into the battlefield. Tzeentch's firestorm and lightning roared through the air, while Nurgle's psionic energy unleashed mudslides and foul liquids that splashed onto the opposing Tzeentch wizard.
After the massive amounts of foul liquid landed, the Nurgle cultists on the ground were empowered, becoming even more twisted and powerful. The Tzeentch wizards were sprayed with the stench of the liquid and forced to dodge everywhere. Humans caught in the middle were rapidly decaying in the stench. Even steel without the physical bodies of the Mechanicus members being contaminated by this substance would rust at a visible speed.
The Thousand Wizards on the opposite side, looking at the battlefield, where the Triple Forged World, which they had almost conquered, was now being harassed by Nurgle. Their years of accumulated plans were now completely overwhelmed.
They plotted again and again, devising ingenious schemes to lure their enemies into their traps and make everything go according to their plan. This world, which they had discovered first, was suddenly attacked by these Nurgle demons while they were suffering heavy losses in their battle with humanity. They even claimed that this planet was destined for them!
Even if Tzeentch has a temper, he wouldn't be able to tolerate this.
Kill them.
These mindless idiots are even less human than those under Khorne.
Tzeentch's various schemes always turn from victory to defeat due to the actions of his foolish teammates. In the eyes of Tzeentch's followers, apart from Tzeentch, all other life forms in the universe are a group of paramecia that have not evolved intelligence. Even the other four Chaos Gods are a group of brainless gods who only succumb to base desires.
As higher-level gods, they are usually lenient towards these guys; after all, who would bother arguing with a bunch of fools?
But now, they can't tolerate it anymore. Even being a fool has its limits.
And in space.
The probes launched by those warriors are gathering information about this planet.
These veterans from ten thousand years ago, I don't know why.
After sensing the familiar presence of Senko and Death Guard.
I got a little tipsy instantly.
They wanted to wipe out all the enemies on the battlefield.
"Destroy most of the enemies on the battlefield first, then enter the fray."
