Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!

Chapter 249 Damn it, they actually used the Guardian Angel Spell against me?

Nicole's reminder gave Cohen more ideas.

On Saturday, the area around Hogwarts was shrouded in dark clouds, as if even the weather knew what was going to happen that day.

But the students at Hogwarts didn't know that.

Even though the sky was overcast and looked like it was about to rain, it did nothing to dampen the students' spirits for going out to play.

There aren't that many interesting shops on campus.

"Without Hogwarts students, Hogsmeade's overall revenue will shrink by 99%!" Cohen said with some emotion, looking at the large group of students swarming into Honeydukes like bees.

“I envy them, they have money to go on a shopping spree every week…” Ron said longingly. “When will Harry arrive? Or has he already arrived—oh dear!”

Ron suddenly rubbed his stomach.

Harry was obviously already there, wearing the Invisibility Cloak, waiting for them.

"Let's go." After Hermione made sure there were no suspicious people around, she urged them to hurry up.

“Harry…be gentle next time…” Ron said in a low voice to the air to his right.

“I’m over here…” Harry said softly to Ron’s left, sounding helpless.

"oh oh--"

Ron awkwardly turned his head back.

Harry and Ron had arranged to meet Sirius at the Shrieking Shack—a place most people only visit once on their first visit to Hogsmeade.

No one would repeatedly visit an old wooden house with no door, rumored to be haunted, but with nothing special about it.

Arriving at the Shrieking Shack, in the shadows behind Hogsmeade Village, Harry ripped off his Invisibility Cloak and took a deep breath.

"How do we get in?" Hermione asked.

"Use the Vanishing Charm to remove a few planks?" Cohen drew his wand.

“Wait a minute—” Harry said.

Then, Harry went to the wall and gently tapped a wooden board.

A rustling sound came from inside.

Harry knocked it again.

A dog barked from inside.

"Sirius, we've caught Peter," Harry said in a very low voice through the wooden board.

"Disappeared without a trace."

The next second, the two long planks in front of them disappeared.

The walls inside were covered in mold and cobwebs, the floor was warped from years of dampness, and the windows were boarded up, making their location the only slightly bright spot.

But it still looks just like nighttime.

The room was filled with furniture wreckage; overturned sofas revealed springs and moldy fillings, with holes torn by wolf claws on the surface.

"You were...getting angry in there?" Ron said, his face pale.

Although Sirius Black looks much cleaner now (in an effort to make a good impression on Harry) and has become more human, Ron is still intimidated by a very tall murderer.

“It’s not me, it’s…” Sirius hesitated for a moment, “…an old friend of mine—but that’s not the point today—come in…”

After the four of them crawled into the screaming shed from where the plank had disappeared, Sirius Black put the plank back on.

"You've caught Peter? Where?" he asked urgently. "Let me see him—"

Cohen took the cage out of the camel skin bag and placed it on the side of the overturned coffee table.

Sirius Black immediately grabbed the iron cage, blood seeping from under his fingernails.

The fake spotted creature is inside, frantically crawling around.

Sirius recognized the rat he hated so much at a glance—and now a cruel smile was on his face.

"Long time no see... Wormtail." Sirius's voice seemed to be squeezed out of a burl from a willow tree.

He opened the cage and grabbed the mouse so hard it looked like he was going to crush it, which made Hermione scream.

“Wait—don’t kill him—” Harry quickly warned, “You said—to let him live and confess his sins…”

"Yes...yes..." Sirius regained some of his senses after hearing Harry's voice, which saved him from crushing Peter.

However, Cohen wasn't worried about that—the flesh golem wasn't alive to begin with, and Sirius would be fine as long as he didn't squeeze it until it burst.

If you squeeze it until it bursts, you won't be able to "live" properly in front of others.

"How do we force it to turn back into human form?" Hermione moved closer to Ron and Harry.

“I know the spell…” Sirius Black held the mouse in his left hand and his wand trembling in his right.

"Soon...soon..." he murmured, then suddenly shouted out the incantation:
"Reveal yourselves immediately!"

A dazzling blue light flashed, and the mouse in Sirius's hand began to swell rapidly, forcing him to let go.

The mouse transformed into a short, wrinkled man a few seconds later.

“Sirius…” the fake Peter said in a high-pitched voice.

Cohen felt that his imitation skills were getting better and better.

"Oh my god..." Hermione covered her mouth—even after confirming that Peter was indeed Scabbers, she couldn't help but exclaim.

“Bloody hell…” Ron’s face twitched as he took a step back, afraid that Peter would get any closer. “I even—you—you bastard…”

“How ugly,” Cohen commented without reservation, though he had subtly reduced his frequency of comments. Voldemort was still attached to the cage where Peter had been, watching the show and waiting for Peter to succeed—Cohen needed to pay more attention to Peter's role to avoid being exposed in front of Voldemort.

"Sirius—" Fake Peter shrank back on all fours, crawling fearfully toward Sirius. "Please—I have no choice—what can I do? The Dark Lord…you don't know what he can do…I'm scared—"

"Stop talking nonsense!" Sirius kicked Peter away and roared, "You were already passing on information to Lily and James for a year before they were killed!"

“He’s powerful everywhere!” Peter screamed. “What good will it do to defy him? You don’t know—he’ll kill me!”

"Then you should die!" Sirius roared as he lunged at Peter like a large dog about to bite. "Death is better than betraying a friend!"

Peter hurriedly dodged Sirius's attack, his eyes searching among the four children as if looking for a "good person" who could protect him.

“Kind boy…” Peter crawled toward Ron, “You won’t let them do that—I’m a good pet…”

"Don't come near me, you perverted rat!"

Ron shrieked.
“You even—even—get out! Or I’ll—”

Under Cohen's manipulation, Peter shrank back in fear.

“A lovely girl…a clever girl…” Peter’s next target was Hermione.

But Hermione pursed her lips, said nothing, and took several steps away from Peter.

“Harry…Harry…you look exactly like your father…”

Peter began to move toward Harry—Cohen manipulated him into making a very obvious motion as he took a cloth bag from his waist.

It contains the door key, the door key Cohen made.

This was the plan that Voldemort and Cohen had discussed beforehand. As long as Peter took the opportunity to get close to Harry and kidnap him with the Portkey, everything would be accomplished.

"Hiss—" Harry suddenly felt a burning pain on the scar on his forehead.

Cohen noticed this—the only reason Harry's scar was suddenly so painful was that Voldemort was too excited.

After all, the plan was almost successful.

"What are you doing!" Sirius, who had been watching Peter closely, noticed Peter's little action.

Peter's actions—pretending to beg for mercy while approaching Harry and reaching into his pocket—clearly indicated he had no good intentions.

A beam of red light suddenly shot from the tip of Sirius's wand toward Peter.

"Fool!" Voldemort's voice echoed in the Screaming Shack, and everyone except Cohen gasped in shock.

Why is Voldemort here?!
But they couldn't find Voldemort anywhere—

"Armor protection!" Cohen used the Ironclad Charm to deflect Sirius's spell—

"What are you doing—" Sirius stared at Cohen and questioned him—but Cohen did not respond.

Voldemort's ghost was extremely pleased with Cohen's act of helping him at great risk of exposure—it showed that Cohen was now completely on his side.

He's way better than that idiot Peter.

"Stun!" Hermione cast a Stunning Charm on Peter Pettigrew—since Cohen was facing away from them, he "theoretically" couldn't stop Hermione in time.

Cohen breathed a sigh of relief.

Damn it, I've slowed Peter down so much, and Harry and Ron are still standing there like wooden stakes.

If Peter doesn't act under these circumstances, it will be more than just a matter of "carelessness" in Voldemort's eyes.

Fortunately, Hermione reacted quickly.

Under Cohen's manipulation, the fake Peter collapsed to the ground, and Voldemort's ghost entered Cohen's body—he seemed to finally believe that Cohen would help him at this crucial moment.

And that's exactly what Cohen did—he immediately rushed towards Peter Pettigrew, snatched the bag from him, and then pounced on Harry.

Voldemort was filled with the hope that Cohen would succeed.

Harry was filled with doubt as to why Cohen was helping Voldemort's side again.

Cohen was getting anxious—why hadn't Hermione made her move yet? She'd been preparing for this for so long; he should use that spell he'd just learned…

"Patriot!" Hermione finally uttered the Patronus Charm in a trembling voice.

A large cloud of silver smoke enveloped Cohen, forcing him to stop attacking and cough.

"Oh!"

Just as the scene was in complete chaos, the door inside the screaming shed opened, and a greasy-haired man with a hooked nose and a gloomy face stood in the doorway.

Voldemort hesitated for a second before deciding whether to stay and wait for Cohen to escape or to run away directly—after all, Snape used to be one of his men.

But it seems unlikely that Snape is now on his side...

For Voldemort to hesitate even for a second would be disrespectful to his suspicious nature; no one knew whether Dumbledore would follow Snape.

He left again—leaving Cohen coughing "painfully" in the smoke of the Guardian Angel.

It took him less than five seconds to drift away from there.

As Voldemort left, Cohen suddenly stopped coughing.

"There will be one more person in Azkaban tonight."

Snape stared at Sirius's face with a fanatical gaze.

 Happy April Fools' Day!
