Chapter 360 The Strange Student
After Chimera Beast reminded Cohen, the old water snake visibly panicked for a moment.

“The giant squid doesn’t eat people; it just mistook the warrior for someone who had fallen into the water,” Cohen said. “Didn’t your brother fall into the lake before? If it ate people, it wouldn’t have pulled your brother out of the lake.”

Colin's questioning continued until Cohen returned to his dormitory. Harry and Ron were not spared either, as they were surrounded by Gryffindor students in the common room. Harry was getting impatient, but Ron seemed to be enjoying it, as he was giving a very emotional account of his experience under the lake—when in reality, he had only been unconscious in the lake for a little over an hour.

Cohen slept until mid-afternoon. With nothing else to do, he left the castle early and went to Edward's tent to spend some time with his family.

To Cohen's surprise, a group of students even pestered Edward, trying to find out what had happened in the second project from him.

As soon as you leave the castle, you can see Edward surrounded by a group of students, scratching his head awkwardly but also a little proudly and saying something.

"Mr. Norton, did you see how Cohen dealt with the merman?"

"What did Cohen transform into—a fish? Or an octopus or...?"

Cohen realized that it seemed to be mostly girls who were gossiping about Edward, while the boys were chasing after Fleur and Krum asking questions, because there were still quite a few people gathered outside Beauxbatons' carriage and Durmstrang's ship.

Cohen chose to sneak past from the side, letting Eduardo boast for a while, while he chatted with Rose and Herbert, who were watching the show at the door.

“They’re just students, it’s normal for them to lack manners…” Herbert said. “Should we have Cohen go and pull them back?”

"Should I pull that girl or my dad?" Cohen asked. "The former is called perverted. The latter is called... I don't know what to call it, but it feels pretty immature."

"Alright, alright, that's enough for now." Edward quickly realized that a girl was hugging his arm—and his wife was watching from behind.

Suddenly, cold sweat poured down my back...

"Go back, go back. I don't know anything else—I've been feeling dizzy the whole way." Edward immediately pulled his hand away, smiled awkwardly, and chased away the students who were surrounding him and asking questions.

"The students at Hogwarts are still so enthusiastic." Edward didn't dare to look Rose in the eye when he returned.

“You’re quite enthusiastic too; you’ve changed into a new robe and shaved your beard,” Rose said.

"Hey, Cohen, why are you here so early?" Edward tried to steer the conversation toward Cohen.

“You’re doomed,” Cohen said with pity.

"What--"

“Come in.” Rose calmly pulled Edward into the tent, while Herbert and Cohen didn’t follow.

"Let's make a bet, guess whether Edward's left eye or right eye is swollen?" Cohen started a betting game with Herbert.

“I guess neither,” Herbert said with a smile and a shake of his head.

“I guess both eyes will,” Cohen said, disagreeing.

But reality was completely different from Cohen's prediction.

Edward seemed perfectly fine.

"?" Cohen was somewhat confused.

"Why do you look like you're hoping your dad gets beaten by your mom..." Edward said, exasperated.

“I’m bored. I want to watch a family drama,” Cohen said dejectedly.

"Come in and we'll talk," Rose said, beckoning Cohen and Herbert inside.

After all four of them had entered the tent, Rose revealed what she had just done to Edward.

“There might be something wrong with the girl who’s clinging to Edward’s arm,” Rose said.

"How so? I couldn't tell who she was impersonating." Cohen frowned. "What did she leave on Edward?"

“It wasn’t about leaving anything behind,” Edward said. “She was clearly trying to take something from me—but I had changed into a new robe, and she didn’t find anything.”

"Something's wrong..."

Cohen suddenly remembered something—the girl seemed to be the one who had interacted with him outside the lounge.

“I ran into her around noon—she bumped into me and dropped some part-time job brochures on the ground.”
