Chapter 384 The Weasley Brothers' New Investors
After vomiting, Arnold was so exhausted that Edward leaned him against the sofa. Since he had already vomited on the sofa, Edward didn't care much anymore.
“I’ll go make you some tea, or you’ll be in St. Mungo’s if you drink any more,” Edward sighed, cleaning the newly changed sofa covers with a cleansing spell before getting up and heading to the kitchen.
"Huh? Is your son coming back today..." Arnold, looking confused, saw Cohen coming in with Edward, and sat up abruptly, shaking his head. "I won't bother you—I'll go back now..."
“It’s working hours now. If you go back, Mrs. Pisgood will interrogate you endlessly.” Cohen tossed the suitcase behind the sofa and sat down a little distance away from Arnold—because Cohen wasn’t sure which part of the surrounding area Arnold had vomited on. “Have you tried looking for a new job?”
“Sigh…” Arnold said, slumped over. “Those shops in Diagon Alley all want young employees—they say I’m too old and balding, which affects how they attract customers…”
“Indeed.” Cohen looked him up and down, then nodded.
Arnold covered his face and let out a sorrowful sound.
"The tea's here, roasted by Dobby. The little guy's pretty good." Edward returned carrying a steaming pot of tea. "What's wrong?"
Edward looked at Arnold, who was covering his face and grieving, with some confusion.
"Alright, alright, stop crying. How about I give you some Galleons?" Cohen felt that his word had probably stung him. "You're making me feel a little guilty..."
But despite the temptation of Cohen's large sums of Galleons, Arnold insisted on not accepting Cohen's money.
“What would I do with a child’s money?” Arnold said.
"Does that mean Edward's offer is acceptable?" Cohen asked curiously.
“No, no,” Arnold said quickly, standing up. “I just came to have a drink with your dad… I’ll go look around Diagon Alley later, and if all else fails, I’ll find some way to open a shop myself…”
“Speaking of opening a store…” Cohen suddenly thought of two people, “The Weasley twins want to open a joke shop, why don’t you set up a storefront in Diagon Alley and try to attract customers?”
"Arthur's children?" Arnold recalled. "They haven't graduated yet—"
“You could start by being a buyer and supplier of materials, and then help them sell their products to test the market,” Cohen suggested. “They made a lot of money from the opening of the three-way competition this time, and they’re worried about how to develop their own business.”
“Speaking of that huge sum of money in the betting market…” Edward frowned. “Cohen, what about the money I put in?”
"What money?" Cohen asked innocently.
……
After learning about the Weasley brothers' joke products and store opening plans from Cohen, and hearing Cohen's prediction of a lucrative future for the store, Arnold's eyes lit up with renewed hope, and he hurriedly left.
After Arnold left, leaving only Edward and Cohen, Edward began a final reckoning with Cohen.
"Old Deng will eventually explode with gold coins," Cohen said angrily, having lost most of his Galleons.
“Are you short of money?” Edward pointed at Cohen while counting the money. “What do kids need money for—all this money will be yours when I die.”
"No, I'll die if I lie here without a pile of gold coins!"
Cohen struggled, rolling around on the sofa.
"And you can't die at all! Even the Avada Kedavra curse can't kill you! You have no inheritance whatsoever!"
“That’s a different story.” Edward patted Cohen on the back as he turned over to face away from the ceiling. “Don’t you keep a bunch of unicorns? Just sell their tail hair.” “The same thing gets worthless if you sell too much of it,” Cohen muttered, face down. “Besides, I’m lazy. The easiest way is to rob Gringotts.”
“I shouldn’t have let you raise a dragon,” Edward sighed. “Norber has corrupted your personality. Doesn’t it feel awkward for you to sleep on a pile of gold coins…”
"..." Cohen lay on the sofa without moving.
"Alright, alright, stop thinking about robbing a bank. How about I give you half?" Edward said helplessly, looking at Cohen's motionless posture. "Your mother will be back soon if we delay any longer."
"Really?" Cohen asked, getting up.
“I only want half of this to help Arnold invest in that store,” Edward said. “I don’t spend much money on a regular basis.”
"Why are you planning this too?" Cohen asked, his eyes wide.
"You're planning to do the same?" Edward asked, his eyes wide.
"Then you can keep this favor. One person helping him is enough; any more would be impolite..." Cohen said, "I'm going to take a nap with my gold coins—"
“How old are you to still be so boisterous?” Edward shook his head with a smile. “Just like you were when you were a kid—eat first.”
"I'll eat when I wake up. I ate on the train." Cohen sprang up from the sofa with a somersault.

The days before July 15th were alright. Herbert moved in that afternoon after Cohen arrived home and stayed in the room next to Cohen's.
Whenever Edward had time, he would drag Herbert along to study the files of the Wizengamot Tribunal, because Herbert had indeed smuggled a lot of illegal creatures and was closely involved in the mass deaths at Burke Manor.
Especially now that almost all witnesses and physical evidence are gone, it's useless to try to overturn the case based on Herbert's own testimony.
However, considering that the Ministry of Magic is currently eager to release Herbert in order to steer public opinion away from the issues of "Fudge's incompetence" and "Voldemort's resurrection," the trial may not be difficult to handle—a significant portion of Wizengamori are Ministry of Magic members.
"Do I need to prove anything? Actually, I remember a bit of what happened back then," Cohen asked.
“You’ll only be a year old then, and there will be reporters in the audience,” Edward cautioned. “Let’s not emphasize that too much, unless we are indeed at a disadvantage.”
On the morning of July 15th.
Rose took leave and planned to go to the jury with Edward and Cohen.
The journey to the Ministry of Magic was smooth sailing. Cohen followed behind Edward, watching him greet one wizard after another as they mingled among the Muggle crowd on their way to work—and suddenly realized that Edward's position as Minister of Magic wasn't as troublesome as Edward had made it out to be.
The trial proceeded almost unbelievably smoothly. Crouch returned to the interrogator's seat after many years, and he seemed better prepared than Edward and the others.
"Those who support the revocation of the original trial decision, please raise your hands."
Crouch said after the interrogation process was completed.
One by one, the wizards in crimson robes around them raised their hands.
Herbert's imprisonment would end if more than half of the people raised their hands—and now, far more than half have raised their hands; almost no one has failed to do so.
