Chapter 424 I'll help you smash the axles of their wedding car
Cohen also asked some questions about how Ginny got together with this pen pal.

According to Ginny, the first letter from her pen pal Carlton, who was suspected to be a Death Eater, was sent to the wrong address when Ginny was still living in the Burrow.

"It sounds like they're trying their luck selling health supplements," Cohen commented.

“At the time, our family was moving to Grimmauld Place, so I thought I’d keep this person as a pen pal to keep me company,” Ginny said. “Are you sure you won’t tell Ron, right?”

“No,” Cohen said. “I just want to find a pen pal, preferably with a dark and gritty background, to boost my dad’s sales figures.”

Cohen only needs one person to handle online dating; the waters are too deep for Ron to navigate.

"Mr. Norton's achievements?" Ginny asked, somewhat puzzled. "Is your father also at the Ministry of Magic?"

“It will be here soon,” Cohen said. “It’s good to be prepared.”

“Cohen, what are you doing here? Our classroom is on the other side—Ginny?” Harry asked, somewhat surprised, as he turned the corner of the corridor to where Cohen and Ginny were.

“I have to rush off to Professor Flitwick’s class too.” Ginny waved to Cohen. “Good luck.”

After saying that, Ginny ran off like a shot.

"What do you want with Ginny?" Harry looked at Cohen suspiciously. "Snape's class is about to start—aren't you afraid Snape will put us in detention for being late?"

“We were talking about pen pals,” Cohen said. “I can’t go into specifics, especially not Ron.”

"Ginny's in a relationship?!" Harry's eyes widened.

“Why are you so agitated?” Cohen raised his eyebrows. “It’s not about romance, so don’t ask—because I know if I tell you, you’ll definitely tell Ron.”

“Fine…” Harry said listlessly.

The two caught up with Ron and Hermione, who were almost at the door of the Potions classroom. Ron seemed to be arguing loudly with Hermione about something.

“You’re so insensible!” Hermione said.

“What? I was just asking her if she was—” Ron asked, puzzled.

“She’s here to see Harry, didn’t you notice? She wants to wait for Harry to come back so she can talk to him alone,” Hermione said.

"What's the matter? Who wants to talk to me alone?" Harry was a little confused.

“You explain it to him yourself,” Hermione said angrily to Ron.

“Choi Chang was looking for you just now,” Ron said, “but she suddenly ran off again—”

“‘I don’t know why,’ Hermione said sharply to Ron, ‘why are you questioning her about the Quidditch team she supports?’”

“My question about Quidditch has nothing to do with her coming to see Harry,” Ron said. “I just—”

“Who cares if she supports Team Tornado?” Hermione said.

"Come on, more than half the people wearing Tornadoes badges right now bought them last season, since the Tornadoes won their first Club Confederations Cup. She's definitely lying if she says she's been a fan since she was a kid, otherwise why would she suddenly react so strongly?" Ron said logically. "These people aren't really true long-time fans; they're just bandwagoners..."

"You—I—you—sigh..."

Hermione clenched her fists, then relaxed and clenched them again, finally letting out a helpless sigh. "I understand," Harry said wearily.

Ron inappropriately chased Cho Chang away, and Cho Chang seemed to be planning to say something to him...

“She’s Cedric’s girlfriend, you know that,” Cohen said. “But if you really want to pursue her, I can help you get Cedric…”

As he spoke, Cohen made a throat-cutting gesture.
"Or I could help you smash the axles of their wedding car; I have several spells—"

“No—Cohen, don’t look like a terrorist…” Harry said quickly, “I know.”

After entering the classroom, Snape had not yet appeared. Hermione and Ron were somewhat in a cold war, both feeling that the other was acting strangely. So Hermione sat next to Harry, while Ron sat next to Korn.

"Cho Chang probably doesn't have something very important to tell Harry, does she?" Ron suddenly whispered to Cohen. "I mean, like she has some information about the Mystic..."

“No, Hermione just thinks you’re interfering with Harry’s relationship,” Cohen said. “But I guess she might just want to ask Harry if the news that Voldemort is back is true or not.”

“Hermione was so agitated,” Ron said with a sigh of relief. “It made me think I’d messed something up again.”

In Potions class, Snape asked them to brew a relatively difficult concoction, which put a lot of pressure on the students. The process of making the concoction was very strict. The ingredients had to be added to the crucible in a prescribed order and in the prescribed amounts. The number of times to stir and the temperature of the flame were both fixed.

The margin for error is very low, which means that most clumsy students are easily subjected to Snape's merciless mockery and point deductions.

This wasn't difficult for Cohen; his potion was already "emitting a faint, silvery-white vapor," just as Snape had requested.

Ron had clearly made many mistakes, and green sparks were flying from his pot.

Even more dangerous is that Snape is already preparing to come here to criticize the Gryffindor students.

"Add half a spoonful of the Flobber caterpillar acid solution," Cohen whispered a reminder.

"Huh?" Ron asked, puzzled. "It's not in the procedure—"

“You put too much of the herb syrup to neutralize the syrup,” Cohen said.

"Whoa whoa whoa—" Ron quickly found a bottle of light blue liquid on the material shelf and dripped a few drops into the pot.

His medicine began to slowly change color, from green to white.

"Gryffindor, deduct ten points," Snape said.

"Why!" Ron's eyes widened. "My medicine turned into what you wanted!"

“I never said you could help each other,” Snape said. “Sit down. If you make a scene in class again, Gryffindor will lose fifty points.”

“I’ll never get used to him,” Ron whispered to Cohen as Snape scolded Harry for making a mess of things. “Slytherin’s practically a tea party—'No helping each other'…”

"Homework: Write a twelve-inch-long paper on parchment discussing the properties of moonstone and its uses in pharmaceuticals, due Thursday," Snape said at the end of class. "And, bottle your medicine samples, label them with your names, and bring them to my desk for examination."

"Twelve inches long!" Ron's dissatisfaction finally erupted after leaving the Potions classroom. "Could everything he taught in this class be written in twelve inches?!"

“Ha, even if I hand in my assignment, I still get a zero,” Harry said sullenly. “He made all my potions disappear—I can’t hand in anything.”
