Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!

Chapter 431 "You can't do this to me!"

Chapter 431 "You can't do this to me!"

The air was getting colder, and Cohen had already begun to detach herself from her positive emotions.

Umbridge's initial arrogance was rapidly turning sour—because she realized that Cohen seemed to have revealed his true nature as a hybrid monster, and the chilling realization forced her to subconsciously use the Patronus Charm.

"Call the gods to protect you!"

When she used up all her remaining joy to summon her silver cat Patronus, and saw Cohen's brow furrow slightly, she assumed he was just a little bastard who had never seen a Patronus before and thought he could do whatever he wanted just because he was a half-Dementor. She was about to burst into laughter—

"Call the gods to protect you."

A huge silver Dementor gripped the silver cat's neck tightly with its long, withered hand, and in an instant, the cat turned into a wisp of smoke and was sucked into the Dementor.

If it were a normal guardian spirit, it might be able to compete with Cohen's guardian spirit. Unfortunately, Umbridge found far too little joy in summoning it.

Not only the guardian spirit, but Umbridge herself was also in a similar situation—her soul strength of just over twenty points posed no threat to Cohen.

“You, you can’t kill me!” Umbridge screamed, her voice trembling with fear. “I am the Second Undersecretary of the Ministry of Magic, a Senior Investigator at Hogwarts, and a Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts—if you dare lay a hand on me—”

“This room can’t possibly hold all these people,” Cohen said gloomily. “But you’re dreaming if you think you can just die—only enemies who don’t disgust me can live so comfortably…”

Umbridge's face began to regain some color—she thought her words had frightened Cohen.

He feared retaliation from the Ministry of Magic—

“I’m going to turn you into the thing you hate most,” Cohen said softly. “Muggle? A shrew mixed with the limbs of other animals? Think about it, Fudge sees that you’re actually that kind of thing…”

“No, you can’t do that, you can’t change—you lying bastard!” Umbridge said through gritted teeth. “You can’t do this to me…as long as Connelly knows all this—hiss…”

“So what if he finds out?” Cohen said kindly. “What do I have to fear? A minister who’s about to step down, and his freakish, insane underlings? Or a government full of lies and Dementor food? Don’t be afraid, you can live for a while longer, until one sentence is etched into your heart—‘I cannot lie.’”

Umbridge hissed in pain.

A line of words, as if carved with a knife, began to appear on her hand—

I cannot lie.

Then, the wound healed again, followed by another process as if an invisible knife had carved words into it.

I cannot lie.

Umbridge clenched his fists, trembling, his gaze still filled with resentment and hatred as he stared at Cohen.

"It seems it's a bit difficult to get those words etched into your heart, isn't it?" Cohen said with a sunny smile. "But don't worry, I have plenty of ways."
-
In the office, Harry was idly writing sentences over and over again. He had listened carefully for a long time but hadn't heard what was happening in that little room. Finally, out of sheer boredom, he started writing the toad's demand: "I cannot lie."

The handwriting looked like bright red blood, but Harry couldn't figure out where the blood-like ink came from.

Never mind—I'll write it again.

Cohen still hasn't come out.

Write it again—

Still no movement.

Write it again—

……

Write it again—

"boom!"

Behind Harry, the office door was slammed open—but Harry saw nothing; the corridor outside was empty.

Then, the door slammed shut again—

Harry jumped up immediately. "Who?"

"Don't be afraid, little one, I'm delivering something to my grandson," the invisible old water snake said cheerfully.

"What?" Harry was stunned for a moment—then he thought of the long-horned water snake in Cohen's box.

What is Cohen planning to do—why did he even call in the water snake?
The bedroom door opened a crack, and Harry could see something thick slip inside. He watched as the door closed again, and then there was no more movement.

Completely bewildered, Harry couldn't help but start letting his mind wander.

What is the old water snake going to send to Cohen?

Why have Cohen and the toad been in the room for so long...? Could it be that Cohen has already... killed her?

Harry felt a sense of satisfaction at the thought of the pink toad dying—but what if Cohen had actually killed someone from the Ministry of Magic…

The more Harry thought about it, the more worried he became about Cohen.

……

Meanwhile, in Umbridge's room.

[My dear grandson! I brought you that thing you asked for!] The old water snake happily deactivated its invisibility, revealing Cohen's flesh puppet coiled around its tail—it still resembled Voldemort, the one Cohen had retrieved from Voldemort when he went to Malfoy Manor. [Hey, isn't this the wizard who scared the little guy? Dead?]

Old Water Snake stared at Umbridge lying on the ground and asked Cohen a question.

He sounded a little disappointed—he had originally intended to help the little guy bite her a few times to get revenge.

"He's not dead," Cohen said. "Take whatever you want first—I'm going to do something big later."

This “major event” was not unfamiliar to Cohen – last semester, Cohen had helped Sissoko and his friends briefly switch bodies.

After receiving Cohen's instruction to "bite at will," the old water snake immediately revealed its two rows of sharp teeth—unlike the basilisk, its bite marks were usually neat rows, and it could tear them apart by shaking its head.

As long as Cohen extracts her soul before she's completely dead.

After being struck by Cohen's petrification spell, Umbridge was tossed around by the old water snake like an ugly rag doll, the blood from her torn wounds splattering all over the ground.

Cohen, meanwhile, was adjusting the appearance of the flesh golem so that its "first stage" would look no different from Umbridge's.

As for this guy's second phase...

That's what we'll see in the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

After Cohen modified the flesh golem, the old water snake also threw Umbridge to the ground, and Cohen transferred Umbridge's soul into the flesh golem.

"Hiss—my teeth seem a little loose—I need to lose them..." said the old water snake.

……

Harry was still lost in thought.

But Cohen came out shortly after.

"Why are you still here?" Cohen asked in surprise. "Aren't you going home to finish your homework tonight?"

"I just heard that horned water snake's voice—it said it was bringing you something—"

“I did have it bring me something,” Cohen said, then turned and hissed at the invisible old water snake beside him, signaling it to go back.

"Where's Umbridge?" Harry asked, looking towards the bedroom. "What happened to you in there?"

“I’ve stumbled upon some ‘toad secrets,’” Cohen said suspensefully. “You’ll find out in the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class.”
