Chapter 453 I'll bite you to death!
"Cohen, why don't you smile when you see your family?"
"Don't you like it?"
Christmas is almost here...
"I'm going to bite you all to death!!!"
Cohen lunged at Dean, who was joining in the commotion.
However, with Professor McGonagall watching over them, they couldn't cause any major trouble.
"I'll beat you guys with my Gryffindor scores someday," Cohen said menacingly after dinner.
Dean and his group immediately quieted down.
The arrival of the new professor didn't have a significant impact, since they were going home for the holidays the next day.
Harry and Ron are going home—now their home is number twelve Grimmauld Place, because Mrs. Weasley is staying there to cook for a large underground organization.
Hermione also needs to go home to see her parents and tell them not to go near any places where there is obvious "magic".
"That means I'll be the only one left in Gryffindor this Christmas..." Cohen mused.
“Cohen, we’ll come back to see you after the holidays—” Harry was about to say, trying to comfort him.
"That's fantastic!" Cohen exclaimed excitedly. "Now we can finally get the stuff out of those boxes—they've been rotting in there!"
“I knew it…” Harry said, covering his face. “Then Merry Christmas in advance.”
“Merry Christmas, Hallelujah, let’s go!” Cohen urged.
As Harry and the others walked out of the school gate with the crowd leaving the school, someone walked up behind Cohen and patted him on the shoulder.
"Do you feel lonely?" Herbert asked Cohen with concern. "Edward said he can't be with you this year, which might make you a little unhappy."
“I can’t possibly be associated with loneliness,” Cohen said. “There’s a whole family in the box, and you’re here too.”
“That’s good—would you like to have Christmas dinner in the auditorium or in one of the smaller rooms?” Herbert asked hesitantly. “I’ve decorated the office a bit to make it feel more…homey—you know, the last time we spent Christmas together…”
“We ate two rabbits,” Cohen said, recalling the incident vividly. “I must say, the rabbits at Burke Manor were excessively thin.”
“It might be due to the influence of some residual magic,” Herbert smiled. “It’s different at Hogwarts.”
“Let’s eat in the office then. I feel a little awkward eating with the professors,” Cohen said. “Especially Dumbledore, who always tries to get me to have dessert before meals—oh, by the way, have you found a new place yet? Where is it?”
“Sirius recommended number 13 Grimmauld Place to me. The Muggles just sold the house,” Herbert said. “And the environment is quite nice.”
“I thought you would want to live on Privet Road,” Cohen said.
Shouldn't Herbert have wanted to see Cohen more often?
“I was thinking… this distance is just right…” Herbert said, “It won’t disrupt your lives, and it’ll be convenient if you happen to be planning to visit a friend…”
"Is your son named Cohen?" Cohen asked.
"?" Herbert paused for a moment, then subconsciously replied, "Yes..."
"Feel this, isn't this your son's arm?" Cohen asked, reaching out his hand.
“Yes…” Herbert’s eyes were tense.
"Do I remember everything Cohen is supposed to remember?" Cohen asked.
"Yes……"
"Then why do you think your existence will affect our lives?" Cohen asked. "After all... Edward and Rose..."
“They don’t care anymore,” Cohen said. “Why are you making things so difficult for yourself? Of course, I’m not blaming you, I’m just stating a fact—”
"Four years ago, you worried that Edward and the others wouldn't forgive you, but the truth is they did..."
“Now you’re worried that living next to us will affect our lives, but actually many normal relatives live very close by. Some pure-blood families even live in the same manor.”
“There’s no need to be so careful. I’m not going to abandon you,” Cohen said. “You have a large inheritance—I can inherit it after you die, although that’s a difficult condition to meet. After all, I have to die before you to inherit the estate, otherwise you won’t die…”
“Haha…” Herbert was amused by Cohen’s joke about the inheritance.
“You promise you won’t be bothered by this again,” Cohen demanded. “Otherwise, I’ll try to breed a second Cohen for you to raise.”
“Okay, okay, I don’t feel uncomfortable anymore—I don’t feel uncomfortable anymore…” Herbert said quickly.
It's hard to imagine what Cohen, who reproduced asexually, would look like...
So weird.
Herbert went back to his office to refine his work and prepare his lessons, while Cohen returned to the Gryffindor Tower, intending to let out the old and young guys who wanted to wander around get some fresh air.
However, only a few came up with ideas. The old snake monster wanted to go back to the secret chamber, and the lion wanted to lick Cohen's fur all day long.
“I won’t turn into a Chimera for you to lick your fur. I don’t want to take a bath today,” Cohen refused.
No wonder the sphinx didn't end up with the goat; nobody likes smelling like sulfur all over themselves.
"Roar..." The lion let out a low roar.
After casually asking whether Harry was not there, the little basilisk didn't want to come out anymore.
It was unusual for Alyssa to want to come out and keep Cohen company.
"Not for the alcohol?" Cohen asked suspiciously.
“No,” Ari retorted, “Do you think all I have on my mind is alcohol?”
“That’s right.” Cohen nodded.
“I saw Fedor spending Christmas with his kids…” Aly said.
“That unicorn leader? Oh—you’re under pressure—is it because all the other unicorns have families, but you don’t, and then you feel inferior—” Cohen suddenly realized.
“You really have been corrupted by that scoundrel owl,” Ari sighed. “You’re not a pure unicorn anymore…”
"It's as if you're a pure unicorn..." Cohen said with a droopy face.
"So, do you have vodka in your lounge?" Ali asked bluntly.
"So you came for the alcohol after all, didn't you!" Cohen said, rubbing his forehead.
After dealing with Alyssa, who kept muttering "I want lots and lots of wine" in Cohen's head like a death knell, Cohen still had to deal with the Greek kids who were full of curiosity about Hogwarts, after he got a bottle of wine "borrowed" from Dumbledore.
The scorpion-like creature coiled up beside the fire, poking at the wood in the stove with its stinger. Just be careful not to let it burn down the armchair next to it.
The two-headed lynx is quite dangerous because it seems to have developed a strong interest in the stone walls of Hogwarts.
The leopard followed the chimera like a shadow, while the lion taught it how to play with a ball of yarn.
