Chapter 510 Power!

For the remaining month of summer vacation, Cohen mooched off Arnold for nineteen nights' worth of late-night snacks, until Arnold pretended to have a contagious disease and couldn't go out, which temporarily stopped for a while.

"How could someone possibly contract 'Flores blindness,' which takes seven days to heal, just seven days before the start of the school year?"

Cohen didn't believe it at all; Arnold hadn't even gone to San Mungo.

However, since Edward didn't care about the remaining eleven nights of late-night snacks that Arnold owed, Cohen didn't care as much either—even if no one paid, Edward would still bring Cohen barbecue whenever he had time.

“Give him a break. Percy's really into working overtime; he seems much more efficient than Arnold on his own.” Edward told Cohen on a late August morning before heading to work. “Your mother will be taking you and Harry to Diagon Alley to buy things later. I've sent Aurors to protect you, but you still need to be careful; Diagon Alley is crowded and dangerous…”

“I understand, I understand. Unless the Death Eaters turn on me, I won’t do anything to harm others,” Cohen said. “Don’t worry.”

Not long after Edward left, Rose and Mrs. Weasley, who had planned their shopping order, led a large group of people out.

At the corner of Grimmauld Place, they boarded the car that Edward had described as "protected by Aurors."

"Tonks?!" Hermione looked at the young woman in the driver's seat with some surprise.

"Hello everyone! I finally get to go out on fieldwork today—I've almost forgotten when was the last time I went out on fieldwork—the department head specifically asked me to sort reports..."

Tonks' fluffy, violet hair, resembling cotton candy, made her look less sad even when she was frowning.

“He just thinks you’re not ready yet.” Rose sat in the passenger seat and said to Tonks with a smile, “The Death Eaters’ methods of retaliating against the Aurors are getting more and more extreme.”

“Yes, yes, that’s what my dad said too.” Tonks sighed. “He even suggested I go to the Department of Magical Sports, saying it’s safer there, but I can’t stay in an office forever; they might as well just kill me—”

"Tonks, can you drive?" Harry couldn't help but ask as he sat in the back seat with Cohen. "I remember last time you..."

Two weeks ago, Tonks visited the Order of the Phoenix headquarters and had a meal with them. During their conversation, he shared his clumsy experiences dealing with Muggle objects with Cohen and the others.

"How about I do it?" Rose said.

"Don't worry, I've completely mastered driving this cute card in the last two weeks," Tonks assured him confidently. "I have to show Edward that I'm fully prepared to catch the dark wizard."

The back seat of the car was widened by the Unmarked Stretch Charm, so even with the Weasleys, Cohen, Harry, Hermione, and eight others in the car, it wasn't crowded.

A Muggle outside noticed this scene, but in the blink of an eye, as if he had thought of something very urgent, he hurriedly ran away.

“You have to release the clutch; if you press it down, the car won’t move,” Cohen said.

“Oh, okay—” Tonks immediately released the pedal.

The car lurched forward uncontrollably, and Tonks frantically started turning the steering wheel and stepping on the gas—Hermione screamed, Harry looked terrified, and Mrs. Weasley and Rose just looked helpless.

Like the Knight Bus, whenever this old car is about to hit something, buildings, streetlights, and trash cans will suddenly jump aside and only jump back after the car has passed.

It wasn't until they reached the vicinity of Charing Cross Road that Tonks regained control of the car's speed. "I'll drive next time."

Upon arriving at the Leaky Cauldron, Rose patted Tonks on the shoulder as she got out of the car.

“I think this is revenge,” Cohen said, as if he were about to launch into a conspiracy theory.

“Cohen, don’t talk to me right now—I think I’m going to throw up…” Harry said, covering his mouth.

"Here, remember to eat the purple half." Fred handed out some candy to Harry and the others from outside Mrs. Weasley's sight, and whispered a reminder, "Don't worry, it's great for stopping nausea..."

"You still haven't managed to persuade him?" Cohen asked Fred curiously.

“We’re wondering whether to tell Mom about the shop Mr. Pisgood is running with us,” Fred said in a low voice. “If we have a successful business experience, Mom might feel a little more at ease.”

"Hurry up, we still have a lot of things to buy—and you need to buy new robes too!" Mrs. Weasley urged them from a distance.

"Is your shop still open with Mr. Pisgood?" Harry asked. "I'd love to go and see—I might be able to buy something interesting."

“It’s still open, at number ninety-four, you can see it immediately,” Fred said. “Mr. Pisgood isn’t much of a decorator, we plan to make it more eye-catching after we graduate—”

“Who would go into a joke shop if there were no explosions or laughter?” George said with a grin. “We’ve been observing for a while and found that the shops in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are a bit too restrained.”
-
It's hard to say whether Fred and George's claim of "not being very good at decorating" is true.

As they bought their robes and headed towards Flourish and Blotts, they happened to pass by the shop owned by Arnold and the Weasley brothers—

Almost all the young people in the group were drawn to it, including Tonks, who was there as a guard.

"When did this store become like this?!" Tonks exclaimed in surprise.

The bright red shop sign reads "P·W Magic Tricks Workshop," which looks like a giant ribbon. The ribbon is constantly spewing fireworks, and every now and then a short goblin dressed as Santa Claus pops out from the fireworks.

The transparent shop window displayed a variety of rotating and jumping merchandise, very much in the style of the Weasley brothers. Molly couldn't help but glance at Fred and George again after seeing the store.

“The day before yesterday,” Rose said, “because Arnold took the day off.”

"Is there any necessary connection between these two things?" Tonks asked, puzzled.

“Because Arnold is in charge of this store, now I know whether he’s sick or not,” Cohen said, then turned and quietly asked Fred and George, “Why is the store called P.W.?”

“Mr. Pisgood originally wanted to call it Weasley’s Magic Tricks House directly,” Fred whispered to Cohen. “But we felt that he was also a major contributor to this project, and his early contributions were much greater than ours—so we wanted our surnames to appear here.”

“Next, Mr. Pisgood proposed W.P., with Weasley first,” George continued with a grin. “But Wip is clearly not as good as Power, is it?”
