Chapter 534 Getting a New Pokémon

Chapter 534 New Pokémon - Get
Like a monster created by Frankenstein.

Cohen remembered Herbert crying and apologizing for turning Cohen into a patchwork monster—at the time, Cohen thought Herbert just had some kind of "pure human" complex.

But now it seems that Herbert's meaning was not what it appeared to be.

He may have learned the meaning of the spell at some point later and concluded that something else had been summoned into Cohen's body by the spell.

Considering the "Cohen" soul that was already within his body, Cohen felt that he was the one who had been summoned—

Just thinking about Trelawney's prophecy about Voldemort, Harry, and himself...

Cohen sensed something was wrong; there was some connection between his birth and the prophecy of "darkness descending."

Herbert obtained the spell from the researchers, who were Taft's men. It's hard not to suspect that Taft deliberately let Herbert overhear it, which may be why Herbert wasn't killed by them.

Could an evil god have actually been shoved into my body?
Or is he saying that he is an evil, tyrannical soul?

Cohen tried to recall his past life, but a cold sensation slid into his stomach.

The memories before the time travel are not only fading, but also becoming less and less real.

If he is neither Cohen nor the "ordinary person" from before his time travel.

So... who is he?
"Hey bro, are you alright?" Ron asked, still biting the tip of his quill pen and unable to write. He looked up and saw Cohen coming over to return the dictionary.

“It’s alright, I’m going to bed too—isn’t today Saturday? I thought you only started working on your homework on weekend nights,” Cohen asked.

“Because Hermione happens to be writing this,” Ron mouthed to Cohen without speaking, “that way I can get a copy of her paper…”

Playing the victim is the most effective way to copy Hermione's homework, Cohen gave Ron a thumbs up.

“Hermione, here’s your book back. Good luck to you guys. I’m going to bed now,” Cohen said. “Do you want to go see Hagrid tomorrow? He’s been upset for a long time because none of you chose the Protecting Magical Creatures class.”

“Of course I’ll go!” Hermione exclaimed. “Oh my god—I completely forgot about that! Hagrid must be so upset. I was planning to go and explain it to him on Wednesday… The Ancient Runes homework is taking so long…”

"Okay, hopefully he won't fly into a rage..." Ron said somewhat evasively, "Cohen, what did you say to Hagrid back then?"
-
On Sunday morning, Hermione dragged Harry and Ron along to see Hagrid with Korn.

Cohen brought the box because he needed to borrow the Hydra for his research.

Get out of my way! You're blocking my path!

I'll bite you to death!

I really want those mermaid scales, they're so beautiful!

I don't want to fight you guys for it... I don't want to move... Let me starve to death...

……

As they approached Hagrid's hut, Cohen and Harry heard the arguing of many snakes.

The hydra crawled out of the Black Lake and onto the shore. Some of its heads were fighting over a pile of lively, wriggling fish that Hagrid had fallen to the ground, some were arguing, and one head lay motionless on the ground as if it were dead.

"That's... Hagrid's Hydra?" Hermione stopped cautiously as she saw the multi-headed monsters attacking each other in the distance.

“It’s okay, they don’t bite,” Cohen said, walking toward where the hydra was.

Ron and Hermione intended to just take a quick look from afar and then walk around to Hagrid's hut—but Harry dragged them along behind Korn.

Harry could hear the snakes' simple voices.

【people!】

[The old snake's child!]

[A kind person who would give fish!]

Upon noticing the four of them approaching, all nine heads (even the lifeless, depressed snake head rose up) swarmed toward them.

While his brethren were slithering to the other end, a cunning snake leader swiftly turned back and snatched up the three remaining fish on the grass. [Pat on the head—]

Touch me!

I'll bite you all to death! They can only touch me!

Cohen and Harry, who were standing at the very front, became the main targets of their head-patting requests.

"Are they always this...enthusiastic?" Harry stiffly tried to push away the snake heads that were frantically trying to burrow under his hand, but as soon as he pushed one away, another would appear.

Moreover, the force Harry exerted to push them was negligible compared to the Hydra's strength, almost like a playful fight.

"Alright—enough—stop this—" Harry struggled to brush away the two snake heads that were leaning against his shoulder. "I have no fish for you to eat—"

"Aren't there any fish?" The simple-minded snake head stopped rubbing and stared blankly into Harry's eyes.

"There are no more fish..." the sorrowful snakehead said.

“No one can force me to touch them,” Ron said firmly as he saw the snake heads glaring menacingly at Harry. “Absolutely not.”

"Hey! You guys! Don't put your hands in those snakes' mouths! They'll bite your fingers off—"

Hagrid had just come out of the hut when he saw students interacting with the Hydra on the shore, and he immediately shouted.

But when Hagrid discovered that the people who had come were the four of them...

"Oh, it's you guys—"

"Snapped!"

Immediately afterwards, Hagrid returned to the cabin and slammed the door shut.

“Oh my god…” Hermione said fearfully, “Hagrid must be furious…”

“Maybe we need to wait in the castle until he calms down—” Ron was about to offer a suggestion, but Harry rushed toward Hagrid’s door before he could finish, leaving the seven heads of Hydra lying there.

"So, will you still give us food?" someone asked innocently, still nuzzling against Cohen's palm.

Cohen opened the box a crack and used a summoning spell to bring two fish, feeding them one head at a time to the two most discerning Hydra heads.

"Are there many fish in here?" another snakehead asked with gleaming eyes.

"Can I go in?" the vicious snakehead asked.

"It's 'we,' not 'I,'" the enlightened smuggler said. "That way, every one of our heads can get some fish."

"It's not 'we,' it's 'me alone!'" the fierce snakehead said provocatively.

Just as the hydra was about to start fighting amongst themselves again, Cohen immediately opened the box wider and then slipped it over its head.

"Hagrid!" Harry pounded on Hagrid's door. "Hagrid! Open the door—we want to talk to you!"

There was no sound in Hagrid's room, but Cohen could see that Hagrid was actually leaning against the door.

“If you don’t open the door…” Harry said.

"Should we just blow the door open?" Cohen asked.

"You can't do this!" Hermione exclaimed in horror. "It was actually us—"

“Step back, Hermione,” Harry said.

"boom!"

The door slammed open.
