Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!
Chapter 606 Voldemort's Scandalous Secrets
Chapter 606 "Voldemort's Secret Story"
“The feelings have faded,” Cohen said dejectedly. “Maybe I was just being delusional. If Dad doesn’t want it, then I…”
"You don't have to talk to me like that..." Edward pursed his lips helplessly. "I didn't say I wouldn't give you a gift, I just haven't decided what to get you..."
Pushing Cohen downstairs, Edward planned to call out first to warn Rose.
“Rose, guess who came back without a word?” Edward called out, grabbing Cohen’s shoulder as they were about to descend the stairs. “Thump thump—”
Just after turning a corner, Edward's artificial music abruptly stopped.
Because besides Rose, there was another male wizard in a robe in their living room.
Cohen remembered him; he seemed to be an Auror from the Ministry of Magic, named Sevich.
Just as Savage turned his head and saw Cohen in front of Edward, and instinctively reached for his wand, two people beat him to it.
Almost instantly, Rose and Edward simultaneously drew their wands and cast a stunning spell on Savage.
Sevic immediately collapsed to the ground, limp and lifeless.
“Cohen! How could you—Edward, how could you—” Rose then opened her eyes wide and looked at the father and son at the bottom of the stairs.
“Cohen just showed up in our room!” Edward immediately raised his hands and said, “I swear I’m not hiding anything from you!”
“Even if you’re this fair-skinned, you’ll end up looking black from all the washing…” Cohen said, covering his head. “Mom, I want to come back—mmm—”
Cohen's vision went black as Rose rushed over and pulled him into her arms.
After holding Cohen tightly for a while, Rose let go of him.
"You promised to write to us, but you haven't written a single letter," Rose said, feigning anger. "Is this how you promised us? Your father has been holding in his anger for two months—"
broken!
Cohen then remembered that he had promised them he would write to them regularly.
But would Edward really get that angry...?
"Huh?" Cohen looked at Edward.
“I’m not angry anymore,” Edward said casually.
“No wonder…” Cohen thought of the gift.
“But I won’t stop preparing a gift for you because of that,” Edward reminded him. “I’ve already packed it up for you—if I forget in the end, I’ll send you some money. I remember you love sparkly things…”
"I'm sorry," Cohen apologized.
“It’s alright.” Edward patted Cohen’s hair. “Those ministers send me messages every now and then, just consider it your way of delivering messages to me—owls would eventually get tired flying that far.”
"Have you had dinner?" Rose asked. "Let Dobby cook you something—"
“Let me do it,” Edward said eagerly. “I haven’t cooked in ages.”
“Um…shouldn’t you guys deal with this Auror first?” Cohen pointed to the Auror lying on the ground. “He didn’t know anything and you just knocked him out.”
-
Sevich only remembered that he had come to report the news from the Polish Ministry of Magic to the Minister—then, in the blink of an eye, he seemed to have finished telling the Minister everything and was pushed out the door by the Minister.
“Minister—I haven’t said anything yet—” “You’ve already told me everything.” Edward urged, “Get some rest, you almost fainted from exhaustion just now…”
“Oh…sorry, Minister…” Sevich said dazedly.
“It’s alright. Tell Scrimgeour that I’ve approved your leave.” Edward patted him on the shoulder. “Go back now, it’s getting late.”
"Okay, thank you, Minister..."
Sević pulled up his robe's hood and strode into the rainy night with the gait of someone who was drunk.
“The Confusion Charm works really well,” Edward remarked as he returned to the table. “But how are we going to get Harry out of here? To be honest, it seems like the Order of the Phoenix has already shut us out.”
"Do we really have to use a child as bait?" Rose asked, frowning.
“No need,” Cohen shook his head. “We just need to lure Voldemort out. None of us know his exact location right now, but luring him out doesn’t require Harry to actually be hung outside as bait. As far as Voldemort is concerned, Harry is also hiding, and he actually wants to lure Harry out to kill him… Wait—I’m already prepared—”
As he spoke, Cohen immediately ran upstairs. He had placed his suitcase in Edward and Rose's room when he got home, and the manuscripts he had compiled for Voldemort were stored in the suitcase.
A short while later, Cohen came downstairs with a stack of manuscripts with photos.
“Here, these are the things.” Cohen placed the manuscript and photographs on the table. “Voldemort would be furious if he saw this—”
Rose picked out a copy with great interest.
The title above is "Voldemort's Scandalous Secrets," and below it is a subheading that reads "Why Voldemort Covered Up His History of Selling Hooks."
"Pfft—" Rose laughed after reading part of it. "This sounds like something you'd write in a satirical book—nobody would believe it. How could Voldemort have such a past?"
“But actually, it’s true.” Cohen raised his eyebrows. “At least the part about Voldemort’s family is real—the photos are real, from childhood to adolescence to adulthood, and there’s this photo of him talking to Dumbledore, which already looks a lot like him now, but also has some resemblance to his former face, making it easy for anyone who sees it to connect Tom Riddle with Voldemort…”
"Including this one?" Edward pointed to the photo where Morfin and Voldemort appeared to be embracing.
"Can wizards edit photos?" Cohen asked, raising an eyebrow.
“No.” Rose gave an understanding smile. “I think I know how angry he’ll be…”
“This is just what makes him angry,” Edward said, “and it could also affect other innocent people, such as the newspaper that published this…”
“I plan to have the Dementors deliver them to every single house, without the newspapers needing to get involved,” Cohen said. “And then…”
Then, Cohen took out a pen and wrote a sentence under "Voldemort's Innocent Affairs".
[Written by Harry Potter]
“Now he’ll be the one to challenge Harry Potter to a duel,” Cohen said, arms crossed. “Especially after the Minister of Magic died, there’s nothing in this country he can be afraid of anymore—”
"When did I die?" Edward suddenly looked up and asked.
"When did your father die?" Rose asked as well.
"This is the next step. As you know, the world is a giant makeshift operation."
Cohen said,
"On July 31st, Edward will have to engage in a 'top-level battle of wits in the wizarding world'."
