Chapter 15 Spider-Man Origins

Yang Le and Gwen were not far from the biological exhibition area, and within a few minutes they arrived in front of a pile of glass display cases.

"Wow!" Gwen looked at the various bizarre animals and plants in front of her in amazement. "It feels like watching 'Evolution' all over again."

"I didn't know you would still watch the old movie from 01, Ms. Trendsetter." Yang Le teased Gwen who had always been mocking his old-fashionedness.

"That's because I have to take care of the old antique's feelings. The lonely expression on your face when no one responded to your old jokes reminded me of the old man in the public service announcement."

Faced with the teasing, Miss Gwen counterattacked sharply. Seeing Yang Le raising his hands in surrender, Gwen smiled triumphantly.

While chatting and laughing, Gwen and Yang Le walked to the front of several mini display cabinets. In front of the display cabinets, there was a tour guide that was continuously playing video introductions.

"So far, there are approximately 42751 species of spiders discovered in the world..."

"Look at these little guys." Gwen approached the display case with interest. "They look beautiful, don't they?"

"I didn't expect you to be interested in these things." Yang Le leaned over to Gwen, looking surprised. "Most girls wouldn't like these."

"Gwen Stacy is not an ordinary girl." Gwen gave him a proud look. "Why? Is the old man still afraid of these things?"

Yang Le smiled noncommittally, and Gwen ignored him and continued to admire the spiders.

Gwen, observing the spiders, soon discovered one that was different from the others.

This spider is covered with fine yellow hairs, with two long red stripes on its abdomen. Its eight legs are made up of three colors: red where they connect to the body, yellow in the middle, and purple at the ends, making it look very enchanting.

"Subject 65B?" Gwen read out the label on the display case. The labels on the other display cases all wrote the species of spiders, but this spider didn't have one.

"Hobby, do you know this kind of spider?" Gwen looked at Yang Le and found that Yang Le was looking around for something. "Hobby, are you looking for something?"

"Oh, I'm looking for Peter. Our Mr. Nerd might know what this is." Yang Le turned around and explained.

Of course, Yang Le didn’t go to Peter to find out the species of spiders. The big experimental subjects were marked out, which is obviously the origin of Spider-Man. So what about our protagonist?
"Apparently our Mr. Nerd is in a trance right now, but we have a stronger replacement."

"Uh, what?" Yang Le's mind was full of Spider-Man's origin, and for a moment he didn't react to what Gwen meant.

"Guide machine." Gwen pointed to the guide machine next to her and said word by word.

After saying that, he sighed, and without paying any attention to Yang Le who was absent-minded, he walked to the tour guide alone to check.

Seeing Gwen was a little angry, Yang Le quickly walked over to comfort her.

"I'm very sorry."

"Sorry is no use, Alexei." The man in the coat who had just bumped into Yang Le was in the bathroom of the exhibition hall, growling into the phone. He held the phone so tightly that his hand was shaking.

"Those big companies have always refused to look us in the eye. Their so-called apology is just a notice to kick us out. My research results have been monopolized by them, and you participated in the experiment but didn't get your compensation. We have always been their playthings."

"I know, Adrian." Alexei gritted his teeth, his voice as dull as a war drum. "I won't listen to their lies anymore. I'll proceed with the plan."

"That's right, let's give those high and mighty people a good punch." Adrian's tone was strange, anger mixed with excitement, like a poisonous snake that was about to drag Adam and Eve into hell.

But the distorted face and the prominent gutter nose made it look more like a vulture about to feast on a corpse.

Alexi on the other end of the line didn't answer, but Adrian heard it.

"Boom!" With a loud bang and the crowd's screams, Adrian knew Alexei had set off. The powerful footsteps seemed to shake the ground. "Happi, look, this spider looks agitated." Gwen pointed at Subject 65B. Unlike the other spiders, who huddled quietly in a corner, 65B seemed to have sensed something and was crawling restlessly around the display case.

"Call Mary Jane, Gwen. I think we'd better get out of here." Yang Le frowned at the restless 65B. If this spider was really the radioactive spider, then it must possess Spider-Man's magical skill - spider sense, commonly known as Peter's shock.

"What happened?" Although Gwen was confused, she still took out her cell phone, but she didn't dial. Instead, she waited for Yang Le's explanation.

"I think…"

"Boom!"

Before Yang Le could explain, he heard a huge noise coming from the crowd, which even drowned out the conversations of the crowd, and then the earth shook.

"earthquake!"

Someone shouted something, and it was like water dropped into a hot oil pan. The crowd suddenly exploded, and tourists screamed and ran towards the door.

Display cases were bumped, equipment was pushed over, and all these valuable items fell under the feet of the mad crowd.

Faced with the oncoming crowd, Yang Le immediately hugged Gwen in his arms, and then followed the crowd towards the exit.

At this time, you can't go against the crowd. That is a purely stupid act.

Fortunately, the biology exhibition area was not far from the entrance, so Yang Le and Gwen quickly ran out of the exhibition.

The exhibition has been surrounded by police cars, ambulances and fire trucks, and a large crowd has gathered outside the police cordon.

"Gwen, did Mary Jane answer the phone?" Yang Le asked Gwen who was on the phone.

"No one answered." Gwen put down the phone and shook her head. She called Peter and Mary Jane, but neither of them answered the phone, which meant that they were both busy and most likely still trapped in the exhibition.

"Gwen, go to a safe place first."

"You want to go find them? Don't do anything stupid, harpy!" Gwen wanted to grab Yang Le who turned around and went back to the exhibition, but Yang Le ran too fast and she couldn't hold him.

"Don't worry, I'll be back soon."

"What's wrong Gwen?"

Gwen was about to give chase when she was grabbed by someone. She turned around and saw that it was her father, George Stacy.

"Peter and Mary Jane aren't coming out of there. Happy just ran in to look for them."

Gwen immediately explained what happened clearly.

"That bastard!" George gritted his teeth and picked up the radio. "Attention, attention, someone ran in..."

Gwen looked at the exhibition worriedly, not noticing the spider crawling onto the back of her hand.
