Chapter 37: Hand Ninja

"Will he lie to us?" Gwen asked worriedly.

"I don't know." Yang Le replied frankly.

Based on the information provided by Matt, Yang Le and Gwen came to a building on the edge of New York and observed a warehouse not far from the building. According to Matt, this warehouse was a stronghold of the Hand.

"Do you think that once we go in, there will be hundreds of ninjas waiting to cut us into pieces?" Gwen expressed the terrifying guess in a joking tone, perhaps to scare Yang Le.

"Are not you afraid?"

"If there really are hundreds of ninjas, then it means we have come to the right place, and I might be happy." After saying that, Yang Le transformed into an ice ghost, spread his wings and flew towards the warehouse.

"Okay, cool guy." Gwen shot out spider silk, wrapped it around Yang Le's feet, and flew towards the warehouse with him.

When Gwen arrived at the warehouse gate, he looked around and found that a lot of weeds had grown at the base of some walls and in the cracks of the ground. It was obvious that no one had cleaned them for a long time. Even the warehouse gate was covered with red rust.

"How do we get in? Climb through the window? Or go through the main door? Do you need me to open the door?" Gwen said as he made a Hercules pose, showing off the muscles in his arms.

Of course, this slender arm can kill a cow with one punch, physically.

"We have a simpler way." Yang Le folded his wings and wrapped them around his body, then walked to the door of the warehouse and pointed a finger at the door.

The sharp claws of the Ice Ghost pierced through the rusty iron gate without any hindrance. Yang Le quickly cut a hole as high as a person on the iron gate.

Although the Ice Ghost's main means of attack is ice breath, their sharp fangs and claws cannot be ignored. After all, the Ice Ghost is a race that regards various metals as their staple food. To them, metal doors of this level are no different from tofu.

Yang Le kicked the cut iron sheet and knocked it over, and a passage as high as one person appeared in front of the two men.

"I thought our mission was to sneak in? Now everyone in the world knows we are here." Gwen complained when she heard the sound of the iron sheet falling to the ground.

"Normally, if you don't know the situation inside, stealth is definitely the best way to go. But I hate those twists and turns. Stealth levels are what I hate most in games. By the way, I like Assassin's Creed very much, but these are not the main problems."

Yang Le pointed at the Omnitrix on his chest, the meaning was self-evident, the Omnitrix's transformation time was running out.

"It will be done soon. The decoding will be completed in two days, and then I can play the cracked version of Omnitrix." Yang Le comforted himself in his heart.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Gwen looked at Yang Le, who was visibly getting anxious, and took the lead to walk into the warehouse.

The warehouse was pitch black, with only a ray of moonlight coming in from the high windows. The weak moonlight obviously could not provide any illumination, but fortunately, neither Yang Le nor Gwen needed any.

Gwen relied on the night vision function of the mask lens, which was one of the several small functions added by Yang Le. It would be inappropriate for a hero at night to not be able to see at night.

Yang Le relied on the powerful biological functions of the Ice Ghost, and this level of darkness could not affect him.

"Humans really do have their limits." The more times Yang Le transformed into an alien hero, the more he felt that humans truly had no advantage over these races.

"We're not the only ones here, Ghost." Gwen lowered his body and was alert to his surroundings. Ghost was Yang Le's code name, which was agreed upon by Gwen and Yang Le in advance. By the way, Gwen's code name was Spider.

"My head has been aching ever since I first came in. It must be that spider sense you mentioned." "Get ready for battle, Spider. This is your debut."

Perhaps seeing the two people on alert, ninjas in scarlet ninja uniforms emerged from the shadows from all directions, places where normal people could not hide.

"I'm so honored to have so many viewers as a newcomer."

Yang Le and Gwen said that if you are nervous, you can use jokes to relieve it, and you can also use language to disrupt the enemy's mentality. Yes, it is the classic Spider-Man fighting method.

"The left side is yours, and the right side is mine. Don't hold back. They are all experienced killers who are not afraid of life and death. There is no room for you to hold back." Yang Le spread his wings and flew into the air, instructing Gwen.

"Don't worry, I'll help you if you can't hold on."

"You never know, maybe I'm faster than you." Gwen obviously wouldn't show weakness given her personality, but before she could continue to fight back, the spider sense bombarded her brain like a fascia gun.

"careful!"

That's right, the ninjas couldn't just stand there and watch Gwen and the others flirting. One of them had already quietly moved above Yang Le's head, raised his ninja sword, and swooped down from the sky, intending to kill Yang Le in mid-air with one blow.

Even after Gwen's reminder, Yang Le still did not dodge. Just when the ninja thought he was going to succeed, something unexpected happened.

The ninja sword in the ninja's hand, along with the ninja himself, all pierced through Yang Le's body. Not only that, when the ninja passed through Yang Le's body, a biting cold swept through his whole body in an instant, and before he could react, he lost consciousness.

At the same time, an ice sculpture fell heavily to the ground and shattered into pieces in full view of everyone.

The tiny pieces of ice rolled to Gwen's feet. With the help of night vision goggles and Superman's dynamic vision, she clearly witnessed the process of the human body fragments in the ice slowly turning into ashes.

"Ugh!" Gwen covered her mouth with her hands through her mask. This was the first time she had seen such a bloody scene, and she almost vomited.

The ninja she dealt with alone turned into ashes immediately after drinking the poison, and despite the extreme emotional changes from anger to sadness, she did not have any drastic reaction.

"Be careful not to vomit in the mask, the vomit may suffocate you." The Ice Ghost's thoughts influenced Yang Le, preventing him from becoming like Gwen.

The surrounding ninjas were afraid to step forward because of the tragic death of their companions and because they were not aware of the Ice Ghost's abilities.

They are fearless and brave, but that doesn't mean they will rush forward and die without thinking. The ninjas of the Hand are not random soldiers that spawn at fixed locations.

Yang Le looked at the ninjas around him who were eyeing him eagerly, waiting for an opportunity to strike, but he was still comforting Gwen who was retching.

"You need to get used to all these spiders as soon as possible, not only for yourself, but also for the people you want to protect."

"Ah! I know." Gwen bit the tip of her tongue, the taste of rust filled her mouth, and the severe pain brought her thoughts back.

"I'll get used to it as soon as possible."
