Chapter 575 The Little Actions Under the Table

Dai Chengfeng chuckled softly as he looked at Liu Erlong's embarrassed and annoyed expression, which was so red that even the roots of her ears turned completely red.

The table was small, and the two people sat facing each other, their knees almost touching.

Liu Erlong kept her head down, focusing on eating the porridge in her bowl, trying to avoid making contact with the smiling gaze across from her.

However, Dai Chengfeng clearly wouldn't let the atmosphere remain "calm" forever.

Halfway through the meal, he suddenly cried out "Oops!" and his chopsticks "accidentally" fell to the ground, rolling right to Liu Erlong's feet.

"Teacher, could you help me pick this up?"

Dai Chengfeng looked at Liu Erlong with a calm expression, as if it really was just an accident.

Liu Erlong paused, glanced at him, and saw the cunning glint in his eyes. Alarm bells immediately went off in her mind.

But she couldn't say anything, since picking up chopsticks after they've fallen is a perfectly normal thing to do.

She pursed her lips, put down her chopsticks, and bent down to pick them up.

Just as her fingertips were about to touch the chopsticks, a large, well-defined hand reached out at the same time, seemingly to pick them up together, but "just happened" to cover the back of her hand.

The warm touch returned, but unlike the brief, accidental touch before, this time it was a solid coverage and envelopment.

Dai Chengfeng's hands were large, almost completely enveloping hers, and his fingertips even lightly brushed against the back of her hand.

Liu Erlong reacted as if he had been burned, and suddenly tried to pull his hand back.

She let out a low growl, no longer caring about her image, and kicked wildly at Dai Chengfeng from under the table with her other foot.

The small wooden table was bumped and wobbled, and some of the porridge in the bowl spilled out.

Looking at Liu Erlong's flushed cheeks and her eyes, which were unusually bright with anger, Dai Chengfeng felt no fear. Instead, he found this lively and vivid teacher much more endearing than her usual cold and irritable demeanor.

He slowly put down his chopsticks and bowl, picked up a cloth and wiped his mouth, then looked at Liu Erlong with a relaxed expression.

"Teacher, I haven't finished my porridge yet."

He spoke casually, as if he wasn't the one who had been acting like a hooligan under the table just now.

"You're done eating! You can go now!"

Liu Erlong's tone was firm and decisive, leaving no room for negotiation.

Dai Chengfeng sighed and made a regretful expression: "Alright, since Master has given the order to leave, this disciple will of course obey."

He stood up, but did not leave immediately. Instead, he walked around the small wooden table and stood in front of Liu Erlong.

Liu Erlong looked at him warily, her body unconsciously leaning back:
