Chapter 190 Extra (8)

As Chu Muling approached the first blade of grass, ready to pluck it, the Golden Demon suddenly appeared. "Wait, don't pluck it yet. There's something strange about this grass."

Chu Muling felt a chill run down his spine. "Your weeds are the weird ones! What's with all the excitement about a bunch of weeds?!" he thought. "Hey, hey, hey, don't spout nonsense here, you'll get struck by lightning!"

"You're the one who'd get struck by lightning!" Jin Mo said irritably, then suddenly looked seriously at the large clump of grass and actually started sniffing it with his bull-nose! Chu Muling immediately said, "No way, is there really something good inside?"

"Nonsense! Your Brother Niu wouldn't lie to you, right?" Jin Mo immediately retorted. Chu Muling nodded. Although Jin Mo was always acting unserious, the breathing technique he had taught him was genuine. So Chu Muling now had a pretty good understanding of this guy.

"Pick all these herbs, then boil them into a medicinal soup and drink it. I guarantee you'll progress incredibly fast," Jin Mo said confidently. Chu Muling nodded, then suddenly said, "Where the hell am I supposed to get a knife?"

"Are you stupid? Isn't your house right ahead? You don't even have a knife at home, do you?" Jin Mo rolled his eyes, thinking to himself, this guy is supposed to be a Saint Infant Physique, how come his IQ is practically negative?

Actually, Chu Muling was just being impatient. Otherwise, if his intelligence was negative, then more than half the people in the world would be complete idiots.

Pushing open the door to his old family home, a cloud of dust immediately rushed in. Chu Muling coughed a few times, choking on the dust, and thought to himself with annoyance, "My parents never clean up when they come over, acting like this is someone else's old home!"
Chu Muling's complaints weren't entirely unfounded. He had returned home with his parents a few times, but although he was still young, he only stayed for a day each time before going back. It seemed that his parents had grown up as pampered young masters and ladies, and this so-called hometown was just a formality.

Chu Muling shook his head, not wanting to think about it anymore. However, what puzzled him was that although the place was remote, the air was surprisingly good, and using the Qi-inducing technique taught to him by Jin Mo here was much more effective than using it at home.

"This place seems to be a treasure trove for cultivation!"

Chu Muling thought to himself, and suddenly an idea came to mind. Since this place was nice, he might as well stay here for a while longer. It would be a good opportunity for Jin Mo to teach him more things here.

"Can't you understand human language? I told you to find a knife, what are you muttering about?" Jin Mo said irritably. Chu Muling rolled his eyes. "I'm speechless. What are you, a cow, talking like a human?"

"Shut up! You'll see how handsome I am when I transform into human form!" the Golden Demon shouted. Chu Muling retorted, "Shut up! It's just the two of us here. Why are you shouting so loudly? Are you going to unleash some kind of sonic attack to blast the house down and kill me?"

"Damn it! Am I that kind of person?" Jin Mo said with dissatisfaction, as if in his mind, he was a towering figure... Little Bull?
Chu Muling shook his head, not bothering to argue with the bull. He searched high and low and found only a small, dark dagger.

"Damn it, our hometown doesn't even have a wood-chopping knife. All we have is this dagger, which looks quite old." Playing with the dagger in his hand, Chu Muling shook his head and was about to go out of the house to cut grass.

"Wait a minute." Jin Mo suddenly cursed. Chu Muling frowned, wondering what this guy wanted to do. Jin Mo looked at the black dagger in Chu Muling's hand and came to a conclusion, "This dagger should be a treasure. And it's quite old."

"Huh? Are you kidding me?" Chu Muling immediately looked at the dagger in his hand. The dagger was very short and looked somewhat like the small knife made of bone by primitive people in ancient times that he had learned about in his history class.

"You don't believe me? Hmph, this thing is incredibly hard!" To Chu Muling's question, Jin Mo only had two words in mind: ignorance.

"What kind of expression is that?" Seeing the disdainful look on Jin Mo's face, Chu Muling was immediately enraged. He looked around and still felt that the stone table was the hardest. Without saying a word, he picked up his dagger and slashed down.

With a mere clang, the dagger was deflected. Chu Muling's eyes widened as he saw a large crack in the stone table, yet the dagger remained unharmed. Truly a fine item! Chu Muling glanced at Jin Mo, only to find he had already run outside. Chu Muling couldn't help but smile, his opinion of the man changing somewhat.

Holding the black dagger, Chu Muling stepped out of his old house and began cutting grass as instructed by Jin Mo. Jin Mo's instructions were specific: he only allowed Chu Muling to cut the middle section, saying that the lower half would grow back and could be used again later.

After finishing cutting the grass, Chu Muling didn't feel particularly tired. This was probably because he was using breathing techniques while cutting the grass, which made him exceptionally energetic.

A pot of herbal soup was simmering, but instead of a nauseatingly bitter taste, a faint, pleasant fragrance wafted into Chu Muling's nose.

After finishing the thick soup, Chu Muling felt full of energy, almost to the point of bursting.

Jin Mo suggested that Chu Muling rest for a while, then use his Qi-guiding technique to convert the medicinal power into Qi and temper his body. Chu Muling nodded, feeling the surging effects of the medicine within his body, and gritted his teeth as he went to the bed.

Lying in bed, Chu Muling circulated his Qi-guiding technique and immediately felt his Qi absorption become much smoother. Of course, half of this Qi was allocated to the seed.

Chu Muling was both happy and sad about the existence of the seeds. According to Jin Mo, these seeds and the so-called World Stone Box were extraordinary items. Since he would face a great crisis in the future, becoming stronger and acquiring powerful treasures was naturally essential.

However, due to the presence of the seed, Chu Muling's cultivation efficiency would decrease significantly for a considerable period of time. This was a major headache for Chu Muling.

Before he knew it, Chu Muling felt his eyelids grow heavy, but he couldn't feel the swelling and pain caused by the surging medicinal power in his body, and he fell into a deep sleep.

In his dream, Chu Muling dreamed of Lin Shiyu and his college classmates.

Upon waking, Chu Muling felt refreshed all over. He casually swung his fist and immediately felt his strength had more than doubled. He vaguely sensed a new realm of power.

Chu Muling knew that he was not far from the so-called first level of physical reincarnation.

Once you reach that level, even if you don't become a saint, you've still transcended mortals and can be considered extraordinary.

Chu Muling is now half a transcendent!

Walking out the window, Chu Muling saw that the sky was still dark, and he felt a little strange. He had been sleeping for so long, and it was still night?

Soon, Chu Muling realized something was wrong. His watch showed that it was already past ten in the morning.

Chu Muling's expression changed drastically, and he rushed out of the house.
