Dragon Tribulation of All Realms
Chapter 185 Necromancer's Amulet
Chapter 185 Necromancer's Amulet
A crimson sphere of light erupted beside Callisto, melting an area with a radius of several meters in the exploding mist—his body, already in a state of healing, was thus largely withered. Limbs were melted, blood was drawn out. And this life force, which had been obtained by plundering others, was thus drawn towards Wu Chen's location.
The body has been strengthened to a certain extent.
The treasure shop manager, nearly struck directly by the blood explosion, screamed. He turned around and, while calling for help, tried to escape from the mansion.
"Help me! He's an outsider, he's the court wizard's new apprentice!"
His intelligence network was clearly not very efficient.
Some of his kind—those real vampires from the mortal realm like himself—were stirring with desire. However, their power was ultimately insufficient, for from the time of their transformation until now, at most eight days had passed. Let alone the fact that it's virtually impossible to directly reach a high level through initiation, even if some among them were exceptionally talented, it would be nearly impossible to master the various abilities and innate spells of a high-level vampire in such a short time.
They ultimately did nothing.
Other dreamers besides them would not be swayed by such a nonsensical statement.
"Outsiders? Court wizards?" Wu Chen's gaze swept across the surroundings, making contact with several sharp and powerful auras from a distance—there were indeed several high-ranking vampires among Ramaya's dreamers, but they had no hatred or conflict with Wu Chen's current slightly reserved identity.
"Would they even feign madness to survive?"
He then took a step forward.
Blood Explosion, second cast.
Callisto's escape route was blocked; its heavily wounded body simply couldn't withstand the high-speed flight—the crimson blood orb passed over it and exploded violently in front of it. If it didn't want to plunge headlong into the blood-burst light barrier that could instantly melt and vaporize it, it had to brake and stop.
Regardless of its decision, it meant that its escape was not yet complete.
Wu Chen thus caught up with it—without needing to use any of the vampire's unique talents, he only needed to refer to the operating principles of martial arts and slightly activate the blood and magical energy within his body to gain explosive speed. The moment the slender, white hand reached out, it revealed a hint of the ferocity of its original vampire form, and the next moment, those suddenly sharpened, pale claws pressed down on the fugitive's shoulder blade!
Vampires all have prototypes, and vampires can transform.
A pure-blooded Grand Lord wears a jeweled crown and possesses enormous wings. His thick, unchanging aura of blood and countless tiny, spirit-like bats swirl around him, making every move a walking calamity. While regular high-ranking vampires are generally weaker, even a partial manifestation of their true form can possess considerable power.
It feels very relaxing to use.
While it wasn't as effortless as the Blood Explosion spell I had already purchased, the general feeling was quite similar to when I transformed into a dragon in Beast Form—I only needed to follow the feeling from my temporary memories and make slight adjustments. This power, perhaps weaker than the dragon form but still formidable, was thus released smoothly.
'Tear—' It sounded like tearing a piece of toilet paper.
Callisto's hand and shoulder were easily torn off—unlike their previous encounter in the real world, now that its intelligence was completely exposed, it had virtually no chance of resistance in Wu Chen's hands. Its arm, which had been clutching the necromancer amulet, was Wu Chen's primary target, and now, the amulet had fallen along with its severed hand!
"No—" it screamed in resistance, but its body fell even faster than its broken hand—because Wu Chen pressed down on its shattered shoulder and slammed it to the ground, and the third blood explosion began to operate again!
"You'll die here." Wu Chen's gaze remained arrogant, his contemptuous look as if he were looking down at a tiny insect. "Because you startled my dance partner and offended me."
Blood shimmered, then it was swallowed and spat out.
He deliberately slowed his movements slightly—he wanted to know if Callisto would seize this opportunity to escape and return to the real world. If he succeeded, he could naturally find a way to break free.
however--
"You can't kill me! I am the Mother, the Lady's direct subordinate!" a shrill scream escaped the vampire's throat. It didn't flee, but its remaining, decaying, withered hand strained to reach for the necromancer's amulet that had fallen to the ground!
It wouldn't succeed. Because Wu Chen had only slightly increased the intensity of the blood explosion before halting all its struggles. Death thus touched its cheek. But at the same time, its final words also had an effect.
“You can’t kill it, Duster.” Other high-ranking vampires lowered their power, halting the formation of the blood explosion in Wu Chen’s hand—the resistance wasn’t great, but it was a valuable stepping stone. Wu Chen then slightly turned his head, casting his gaze towards the high-ranking vampire who was stopping him.
A name appeared in the disguised identity information—it was the Dreamer, the strongest among Ramaya's creations. A powerful vampire at the pinnacle of the high-level realm. And its name was…
Belfago.
Ramayana's naming skills were given a rather impolite test here—she simply split her own surname into parts and used them as the champion's name. This act can almost be described as laziness.
"It offended me and frightened my dance partner." It was Wu Chen who was picking a fight, but he still held his head high. "It owes me an apology, and it owes my dance partner an apology."
“That makes perfect sense.” Belfago looked like a high elf, with a taller, thinner frame, pale skin, and long, pointed ears. “Callisto will have to pay for your damaged dignity. Then he will be free and can return to his life of serving the lady.”
"And my dance partner." Wu Chen stopped the Blood Explosion from being contained, but did not let go of his hand.
The vampire known as Belfago glanced at Ryme and frowned slightly. "Callisto is, after all, one of our kind." — It should kneel before you, but not be humiliated by mere food.
“I know,” Wu Chen emphasized.
Having gained a chance to catch his breath, Callisto let out a sharp cry.
"Help me!" it said, its tone imperious as it addressed Belfago. "He's suspicious! Catch him, and the lady will surely reward you!"
It got one thing wrong.
It was unaware of how CHIM operated, and didn't know that once the dream invasion succeeded, all the dreamers here would directly become real beings existing in Nirn's history during the reality-altering process—from the very beginning, its status as Ramaya's chosen one was no advantage over the dreamers. It wasn't any more noble here; it simply had a different role.
Belfago's furrowed brows relaxed.
The next moment, Callisto's entire jawbone flew off with a sharp scream. It could no longer speak, and the immense pain caused it to writhe like a maggot.
That blow was cursed; even a vampire would find it difficult to heal and would suffer prolonged pain. The High Elf vampire then leisurely took out a handkerchief and wiped his blood-stained hands.
“Callisto certainly needs discipline. I apologize, I lost control for a moment.” It bowed slightly to Wu Chen. “This fool is yours, Lord Duster. Just keep him alive so he can continue to fulfill the mission the lady entrusted to him.”
The severed jaw prevented him from uttering an apology, which could be considered a way to resolve the dilemma—Wu Chen's lips curled into a slight smile. He then launched a flying kick, sending the struggling Callisto crashing into the ruined mansion, smashing through several walls amidst shattering bones and splattering blood and flesh.
“Then, let’s use this as an apology.” He stretched out his hand, and the necromancer’s amulet landed in his palm.
He finally obtained the amulet.
