Dragon Tribulation of All Realms

Chapter 25 It turns out to be your boy

Chapter 25: It's You
Wu Chen had been thinking about one thing: how to obtain and utilize resource points.

He had been in Nirn for the better part of a week, slaying hundreds of beasts, both large and small, as well as roadblocks and ritual monsters. However, aside from the initial clearing of the Mist Tower, he hadn't found any resource points or purchase receipts.

There is always a reason for this.

He spent a lot of time thinking hard, carefully recalling the Elder Scrolls game content that he had forgotten a lot.

He recalled one thing. He had installed countless mods and the specific gameplay process had been transformed beyond recognition. He recalled the original content of the Misty Tower.

There was supposed to be a mission in that tower—a kidnapped woman was supposed to defeat all the bandits and become their leader. Her husband, unaware of the situation, was still searching for her, until the Dragonborn, the destined protagonist, arrived.

But Wu Chen didn't see this quest, didn't see this character—what appeared before him was 'The Rock' Mulder, who never appeared in the game. Even with the gender swap, the background of Mulder learned from Lazard couldn't be connected to the original story at all.

He shouldn't be here.

Neither he nor his men should be here.

However, we have not yet reached the Hearthfire Month of 201E , the year when the main storyline officially begins. This means that Wu Chen's actions have either pushed the original storyline forward or permanently erased it.

The Mist Tower still exists, but it will eventually be taken over by another group of bandits. The so-called resource points are collected through the repair or destruction of the predetermined fate.

Both were possible, and now Wu Chen had proof—regardless of the situation, the transformation of the residents of Fuluo City into undead was not the path this universe was supposed to follow. The birth of these undead creatures was clearly a mistake from the very beginning.

--I see.

The thoughts passed by.

Fire, step back, and conceal your casting hand against your chest.

Illusion: Encouragement
A low-level technique of the same standard as the Soothing Technique, its effect is to induce self-suggestion, invigorate the soul, and increase the activity level of the soul, thereby obtaining an all-round attribute enhancement.

Strength and spirit surged as a result.

Dozens of zombies and skeletons charging towards him were easily knocked down, and Wu Chen used a large maintenance wrench as a hammer. When a blunt weapon wasn't sharp enough to directly cut through flesh, it was far more effective than a blade.

"Bang——" A single blow shattered the bones.

The crisp sound danced in Wu Chen's perception.

Killing as many weak zombies as possible seemed to bring no benefit, but as long as ten skeleton soldiers were killed, a few resource points could be gained.

"Bang! "

A gunshot was heard and Wu Chen turned his head away.

The sound of the gun came from the Desert Eagle of Wu Chen's deputy, and the reason for the tilted head was that an arrow flew past Wu Chen's side.

Not far away, a newly born skeleton archer had his head blown off. Wu Chen fired two more shots until the inorganic voice in his heart counted up again.

Fighting on the road is not beneficial.

There was an office building nearby, where a dozen people were huddled together, screaming and fighting. The next moment, an out-of-control bus crashed directly into the building, erupting in flames.

‘Boom——’

"Help!"

"Save us!"

“Ahem, ahem…there are old people and children here!”

The death toll continued to rise. Some people noticed Wu Chen and subconsciously called out to him or tried to get closer. Sporadic gunfire could be heard in the distance, but more often there were the sounds of explosions and collapses.

“Ahhhhhhh—”

Sharp screams echoed as several people, zombies, clashing with one another, fell from a nearby tall building. Their bodies landed not far from Wu Chen, splashing large pools of blood. However, in the blink of an eye, the fallen corpses wriggled back to their feet, becoming new undead monsters.

Dead bodies beget more dead bodies.

Death begets more death.

A giant skeleton several meters tall suddenly rushed out from the corner of the street. Its tough, white arms were so strong that they could even push aside small cars stuck in the road with a swing, as if it were playing rugby! Incredible.

However, Wu Chen's gun was already aimed at its eye socket.

Several consecutive bullets shattered the skeleton giant's head. However, the headless monster continued to wave its arms around recklessly.

——What the hell is this?
——Why does it feel like a large-scale ritual effect?

Wu Chen spun abruptly, the tip of his windbreaker whipping across the head of a zombie that had suddenly risen behind him. His perception told him that the city center posed a greater threat, and once enough undead appeared within his field of vision, he finally sensed the surge of magical power.

Walk, move forward along the tangent of the threat concentric circle.

He ignored the survivors who approached or called for help, but many of them subconsciously followed him. He ignored some of the less threatening zombies, and his followers rushed over and beat them down with sticks. However, after they followed him through a street, they all succumbed to the same sudden terror.

"Devil! It's a devil!!!"

"Spider!! The bones put together and turned into a spider!"

"Run!"

The small group of followers scattered, leaving behind vast swathes of limbs and flesh, the broken remains of the dead struggling to reanimate from their bones. A horrific crimson and paleness filled the air, and in the center of this carnage stood a skeletal spider, the size of a truck, constructed from at least thirty skeletons. Its claws held high, several still-living bodies strung together at the ends of its bones, wailing for help.

go!
Although I feel I should be able to win, let’s go!
As soon as it began to move, the spider-like undead monster suddenly shed the dying flesh on its claws and pounced at Wu Chen. Wu Chen quickly returned fire, ensuring the monster's hatred was focused on him.

The wind blew behind me.

As I passed a street lamp, I heard the sound of metal colliding. The corners of the street were filled with people running and fleeing, and not far away, a shopping mall with flashing lights was already deserted.

It feels a bit familiar.

Not a supermarket, but a monster.

Wu Chen always felt like he had seen this thing in a certain game, and this game seemed to be quite well-known.

He rolled forward suddenly, and a sweep of his bony claws passed behind him. He casually pulled and tugged at an abandoned motorcycle beside him, hitting the pursuer behind him, and then burst into flames.

Maybe an oil tank or something happened to catch fire - maybe.

Wu Chen had successfully broken into the mall, and the next moment, he heard the loud noise of the glass exterior being shattered by a huge object.

The skeleton spider caught up.

It actually dared to catch up.

The next moment, Wu Chen advanced instead of retreating, confronting the skeleton spider head-on. At extremely close range, he unleashed a standard fireball.

Flames burst out.

The spider was reduced to a dead spider, its physical structure shattered to smithereens. Its true strength, strictly speaking, was far inferior to that of an ordinary gargoyle. Perhaps it couldn't even withstand an ordinary giant frost spider.

Wu Chen stopped.

"Ah... I remember now."

He had played a game a few years ago that seemed to be called "King's Maker", in which a monster seemed to be mentioned. It was a giant, moving spider-like skeleton with many small spiders parasitic inside.

So, is this it?
Wu Chen glanced around and quickly found the remains of a body that had died a tragic death. He retrieved a smartphone from the unfortunate man's pocket and unlocked it using the corpse's fingerprint, which was still not completely cooled.

He wasn't a Kingmaker, but he could find the game and its related series through searches. But that wasn't a big deal, as he vaguely remembered it drawing inspiration from Dungeons & Dragons. This meant that spells like summoning undead spirits should appear in many Dungeons & Dragons games.

He was still able to search for Dungeons & Dragons.

He was still able to search for classics like Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment. He searched for keywords while searching for useful items in the store. And soon...

"It's you." Wu Chen got the answer and raised his eyebrows slightly.

On the electronic screen in his hand, the entry named 'Overload-Undead King' showed no results.
