Dragon Tribulation of All Realms
Chapter 27 The climate and soil are too good
Chapter 27: The Climate and Land Are Too Adaptable
In the world of Undead King, the Death Spiral is a massive ritual involving the degradation of primordial magic. It first appears in the narrative, in the fortress city of Erantel, orchestrated by the necromancer Khajiit del Badantiel, whose purpose is to gather vast amounts of death magic and resurrect his fallen loved ones.
This ritual wasn't a powerful one, capping its summoning at level 40, which translates to around level 11 undead creatures in the D&D system. Furthermore, its range of influence was limited; even in the original text, its maximum effect was to destroy a small city and convert all of its magic power for its own use.
Yet it appeared on Earth.
There is not a single living thing on Earth that has any magic resistance.
Its appearance was like the first appearance of smallpox or the plague, its originally modest effects amplified to unprecedented strength by its unique acclimatization. And while it had no effect on wizards like Wu Chen, who possessed a certain level of power even without armor, no living creature in Fuluo City could escape its reach.
Pulau Tiruchirappalli has a population of nearly 10 million.
Even without considering the marginal areas where the impact was minimal, there were still millions of people living within the city. And undoubtedly, the highly concentrated negative energy near the core of the ritual was enough to directly and unconditionally wipe out all native life on Earth.
"Probably in that direction."
It was close to the city center, but still a bit far away. Wu Chen flipped through the navigation map on his phone and, not surprisingly, found a large hospital standing out prominently along the extended line of his perception.
【Xingping Mental Hospital】
A hapless place that sounded like something out of a horror movie. And since this was Sakurajima, who knew where some historic hospital had been conducting inhumane and dark experiments. Bones piled high and low on the foundations.
Wu Chen flipped through his phone, raising his eyebrows slightly as he checked the entries. This mental hospital was indeed still in operation and had a decades-long history. There were even abandoned, sealed-off areas, off-limits to outsiders due to structural issues caused by years of disrepair.
The BUFF is already fully stacked.
Even without the Death Spiral's projection from another world, Wu Chen felt that this place was probably a hidden reality. And now...
He didn't head directly for his destination. Time had dragged on for far too long, and the strategy of attacking directly at the heart of the enemy had long since lost its effectiveness. No matter how one looked at it, at least a million people had died in the entirety of Fuluo. With such a vast number of undead, the death magic power needed to power the ritual core was already incalculable.
In the original story of Overlord, the necromancer Khajiit spent five years assembling an army of undead and mastering the ability to summon two bone dragons. In Overlord's universe, bone dragons aren't very high-level, but they possess complete resistance to low- and mid-level magic. This puts Khajiit, whose entire magic-focused arsenal is heavily compromised.
There must be bone dragons, maybe more than one.
Besides the Bone Dragon and undead creatures with higher challenge levels than the Bone Dragon, there might be other powerful characters stationed in the hospital.
The master of the spell was definitely there. Even if Khajiit, as a projection, lacked combat intelligence, it undoubtedly possessed a wide range of necromancy and other minor faction spells. And since the Death Spiral in E-Rantel had been projected, Khajiit's companion, the heroic, high-agility assassin named Clementine, was likely also within the projection.
I can only say that I can give it a head start.
There is absolutely no reason not to use a bomb to blow up a base first.
Wu Chen shook his head and leaped from the roof. Skeleton Spiders fired repeatedly at the skeleton warriors visible along the roadside. He was swift and agile, familiar with the monsters' movements. With the help of his Inspiration spell, he could easily navigate among the monsters and the zombies.
——A million fucking people.
In a proper D&D universe, if a million people were killed in one fell swoop, the entire righteous faction would be annihilated, and the celestial army would fill every corner of this city. Yet, now, I'm the only one, a lousy newbie wizard wearing the Dragon Sacrifice template, who can wield the hand of justice.
A burning police car lay across the road, and before Wu Chen could approach, a faint sense of alarm made him step back. A fist-sized flaming bomb streaked through the air and struck him in the path he had taken. A walking corpse of a spellcaster, draped in tattered robes and holding a bone staff, came into view.
Corpse witch.
A spellcaster among the undead, it possessed the ability to control lower-level undead and cast low-level spells. Several shield-bearing skeletons guarded it, and as it raised its staff, a dark cloud of magical energy gathered and formed.
There was no need to hide or hold back. After all, the call had already been made.
Wu Chen snorted lightly, raised his hand and released a fireball instantly.
"Boom—" The sound of a fireball exploding is always so pleasant. After the fireball, there is another fireball.
Repeating combat skills was indeed the key to victory. With just two shots, the corpse wizard was blown to pieces. Wu Chen, no longer pretending to be a novice, casually threw several lightning chains around him, silencing the several powerful undead spirits he had attracted earlier.
——【Kill a low-level necromancer and gain 1 resource point.】
The stingy voice sounded.
The caster is more noble than the kitchen knife, but not by much.
The surroundings fell silent for a moment, and Wu Chen took a step towards the remains of the corpse wizard. The bone staff unexpectedly remained intact in the fireball explosion, and Wu Chen took it in his hand.
A faint gathering of magical energy appeared on the bone staff. Using it to cast low-level spells would increase the effect by a very small margin.
"Not bad. But it's useless."
After a moment's thought, he slung it behind him. The police car hadn't been hit in the previous clash, and the mangled body of a police officer lay quietly in the cab. Judging by the blood-stained pistol beside him, the Sakurajima police didn't have a lot of firepower.
but--
Wu Chen raised his head and looked at the police station indication on the electronic map.
Insufficient firepower is better than no firepower at all.
..............................
Shiori Hayakawa hid behind the iron door of the interrogation room, covering her mouth but still unable to help trembling. She could hear the clear sounds of chewing and biting outside the door, and the groans of the dying man as he slowly sank into death.
The police station in Pulau Pinang was finished. She had witnessed how things had come to this point – she had suddenly found herself inexplicably back in Pulau Pinang and was even greeting a stranger. After regaining her composure, her first reaction was to report the case to the police station to make sure nothing was wrong.
This is a reasonable move and no one would think it is wrong.
However, when she arrived at the police station, she found it was in a state of unspeakable depression, with everyone listlessly sitting at their desks. Even the clerk who took her report was absent-minded, making several mistakes even when filling out a form.
Something was afoot—Shiori Hayakawa was certain of it. She was a top student at the University of the Arts in Florence, having been admitted with top scores. She had always trusted her intuition and inspiration. But when the phone suddenly began ringing with increasing frequency, sending the previously languid police officers rushing out of the station like their butts were on fire, her foreboding premonition became a deafening alarm bell.
It was too late to escape.
The best decision is to hide in the police station.
And when screams suddenly broke out outside the police station, groups of people died and hordes of zombies attacked the police station with no manpower, she subconsciously hid in the interrogation room, leaned against the door, curled up into a ball, and did not move.
The sounds of screaming and struggling were soon heard.
The rapid sound of gunfire was quickly drowned out by the biting.
From the outbreak to its fall, the police station didn't last more than ten minutes. Having heard countless screams, pleas for mercy, struggles, and cries, she could only hide behind the door and tremble.
Maybe she won't live long.
perhaps……
'Boom—'
The iron door of the interrogation room was suddenly slammed hard by something huge!
