Chapter 41: Possible Existence of the Rotten Coffin

Time stopped.

The burning flames return to stillness.

Khajiit does possess this ability. In the original text, his only offensive spells are acid javelin and negative energy ray. The rest are primarily domination spells that affect undead creatures and amplification spells. However, he does employ metamagic to enhance his own spellcasting.

This is a long-term ability. It shouldn't conflict with the "Charge Spells" in the Elder Scrolls universe. Wu Chen had originally wanted to acquire an ability like "Control/Dispel Undead" to better prepare him for the battlefield on Scattered Bone Ridge.

Not impossible. "I bought it."

More knowledge flooded into his mind. With just a little research and consideration, the more basic spells could be enhanced. However, more advanced spells, such as Fireball, required more time to effectively enhance them.

"I recall the setting of the Death Spiral—it wasn't a ritual created by the Khajiit, nor even a secret ritual exclusive to the Chiranon secret society to which the Khajiit belonged—its original owner was a powerful dragon known as the 'Rotten Coffin Dragon King.' It transformed itself into a undead through its own unique primordial magic, thereby gaining the powerful power of 'Soul-Destroying Breath.' The so-called Death Spiral is nothing more than a poor imitation of the primordial magic that transformed its own race."

By the time of the Undead King, the Rotten Coffin Demon King had long since vanished. Only Suzuki Satoru, a player who arrived earlier in another worldline, could find and kill him.

"Is this projected 'Death Spiral' truly the same 'Death Spiral' in E-Rantel? In other words, once this Death Spiral, originally unable to acquire many souls, successfully fills up with a sufficient amount of souls, will this degraded ritual transform into its original form? And is the Rotten Coffin Dragon King secretly driving this transformation?"

The possibility exists.

As projections of otherworldly realms, the Undead King's worldview, which incorporates concepts like the Nine Luminaries and Outer Gods, isn't necessarily weaker than the Elder Scrolls world. So, why was the Elder Scrolls able to project a high-ranking dragon like Duneviel, while the Undead King's world only managed to throw in these two little Karamis?

He seemed to see a pale dragon with a dragon-like shape and a snake-like body breaking out of the ground, and its scarlet and dead eyes just happened to touch his own at this moment in the void.
