Dragon Tribulation of All Realms

Chapter 71 Senior Sister's Library

Chapter 71: Senior Sister's Library
The warrior's name was Qina. When she looked at Wu Chen, he felt his nerves tense slightly. She was undoubtedly a formidable warrior, stronger than himself, by a considerable margin. But naturally, she was also far inferior to Mir, or rather, Mir Menil.

She claimed to be Hera Molly's attendant, and it was very likely that she was the target of Hera's alliance mark. She seemed quite taciturn and didn't talk much to Wu Chen.

She simply led the way quietly, guiding Wu Chen through Windhelm's broad streets. From the city gate to the palaces of the kings, there was only a long, broad, straight road. The further they walked, the more they could sense the tension in the air.

Undercurrents are surging, and invisible pressure is exerted on it.

The number of patrolling guards continued to increase, and some of them did not hide their scrutiny of Wu Chen.

"Please don't do anything unnecessary. Just follow me," the warrior named Qina said calmly, her voice as cold and distant as her appearance. "The situation has been a bit unstable lately, but don't worry. As long as I'm here, no one will do anything unnecessary."

She was referring to Ulfric.

No one knew what plans and determination Ulfric had in mind when he went to Dugu, but everyone knew that he would do something extraordinary - he didn't bring any army, so he probably wouldn't force the emperor to abdicate, but other than that, there was a great possibility that he would do anything.

After all, even the Nords, who trust and understand the Empire the most, would not like the Platinum Agreement, which allows the Thalmor of the elven regime to interfere with the traditional beliefs of Skyrim.

A conflict was brewing, and depending on the situation, it could lead to a reshuffle or even major upheaval. However, until crucial intelligence reached Windhelm, everyone would suppress their feelings and avoid any overt attempts at confrontation.

"I know." Wu Chen nodded.

For this meeting, he hadn't used even a single bit of the Deathly Orb he had obtained from Earth. Aside from the bone staff, which didn't possess any dark power but was just not very attractive, he hadn't used any dark power at all.

He soon entered the Palace of the Kings—a vast palace that indeed met his expectations. Towering stone pillars supported a grand antechamber large enough for a hundred giants to wrestle and frolic. Ancient epic murals were carved into the thick rock walls.

He saw Ysgramor lead five hundred warriors against the Snow Elves who ruled Old Skyrim. He saw the rise and fall of the ancient Nordic dynasty. He saw Emperor Tiber Septim manipulate the Brass Tanemidion to wreak havoc. And then there was the Septim Dynasty, the dynasty that ushered in the Third Age, the modern human empire ruling all of Tamriel.

His fingers touched the mural—Nemdion, the Tower of Brass. In the Elder Scrolls universe, the only clear path for mortals to ascend to godhood. It was an immensely majestic brass colossus, every corner brimming with sacred and majestic imagery.

"These murals are imbued with ancient magic." A familiar, clear, and wise voice suddenly rang out from beside his ear. Hera Molly, wearing a pointed hat, then appeared beside Wu Chen.

The surroundings had grown quiet at some point. The two of them were in a corner of the side hall of the Palace of the Kings. No one else approached, and Qina, who had been leading Wu Chen, had already quietly retreated.

Hera's slender fingertips, wrapped in silk gloves, gently traced the Nemidian etching.

"There are many secrets in this world that remain unknown, because secrets themselves have their own back-up. Those who are unqualified and attempt to access them will face a fate worse than death. Even if they are lucky enough to survive, it will be difficult to remember them."

The mural depicting the brass giant disappeared silently, and this was the true appearance of the murals in the palace that ordinary people of this era could see.

"Knowing more is a good thing, Dust." The diamond pendant beside Hera's ear swayed slightly. "But telling secrets requires careful consideration—only the right people can know the right secrets. Otherwise, it will be bad for everyone."

The corners of Wu Chen's lips twitched slightly.

"I have something I want to discuss with you."

He saw Hera make an inviting gesture, and the next moment, the place where the two of them were transformed into a quiet and magnificent mysterious hall - many exquisite rune structures floated and rotated in the air, and each rune was connected to a huge bookshelf suspended in the air.

This doesn't look like a palace of kings.

This doesn't even look like Tamriel.

"This is my library. You can think of it as a tiny annihilation realm. Even the devil cannot know the secrets spoken here before I do. Anything you wish to tell me, you can discuss with me here."

"Including the Knowledge Keepers?"

"Including Hermaeus Mora." A tea table appeared before Wu Chen's eyes, and an invisible hand poured him a cup of tea. The aroma was even more intense and alluring than he had expected. He raised the cup and subconsciously took a sip—and a vast tide of knowledge blossomed in his mind.

A new spell.

The Force Blade's advancement to the even more powerful and maneuverable Force Spear is the Force Spear. It can concentrate immense force into a single point, piercing armor particularly effective against force, even low-level armor techniques, and trigger a force explosion within the victim, while still maintaining concealment.

The reward agreed in advance has been delivered.

So……

Wu Chen took a deep breath.

"Ulfric will assassinate High King Torygg. Skyrim is about to be in chaos."

The witch's reply was beyond his expectations.

"I know." Hera simply sat quietly across from him, gently sipping another sip of tea. "This was inevitable. The conflict between the Nord Dynasty and the Cyrodiil Empire has lasted for thousands of years. Tiber Septim's powerful unification and ascension interrupted this period of history. But the Platinum Accord has reactivated it. The Southerners and the Northerners are destined to fight again, but they will eventually unite under the same banner."

"You do not care?"

"Even if Skyrim becomes independent, it will simply return to the pre-Septim Dynasty. The relationship between the Cyrodiil Dynasty established by Alessia or Reman and the Nord Kingdom will remain the same. The human kingdom will eventually become a whole again, though its existence will at most be different. Regardless of which side succeeds, they will strive to refrain from escalating the conflict. After all, Summerset Isle is the victor's ultimate target."

Her fingertips rested lightly on the edge of the tea table.

"There's not much the academy can do, but it can also protect itself. Since it's certain that no matter who wins, there won't be a final reckoning, all the academy needs to do is ensure that everyone can end the situation in a decent and rational manner when the dust settles."

"Those who sit on the fence are not pleasing either side."

"As long as you're strong enough," Hera waved her hand. "The academy has existed for many years, and it will continue to exist. Of course, this is the Chief Wizard's philosophy. If one day you reach a high enough position, you can also guide the academy's direction according to your own preferences."

Wu Chen took the second sip of tea.

This time, additional knowledge burst forth from his mind. He saw the structure of the spell formed by the fusion of the three elements of ice, fire, and thunder. This technique, known as 'Elemental Impact,' could undoubtedly unleash three types of power simultaneously within a single spell.

The 10th Anniversary DLC's Super Model spell, whether in the early or late stages, can crush all elemental projectile spells. Wu Chen originally thought he would need to embark on a grand adventure to obtain it, but he didn't expect Hera to give this power so easily and simply.

The corners of his lips trembled slightly.

Then--

"Think it over before you speak." Hera interrupted him. "The right secrets belong to the right people. Don't speak carelessly."

However, Wu Chen had already thought it through.

"World Devourer..."

A cup of ignorant tea poured into his mouth, blocking the next words he was about to say.

"You haven't thought it through." Hera looked at him quietly.
