A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 584 War Readiness

Chapter 584 War Readiness

Leon, who was staying with Abigail, did not encounter the people who might come to talk to him as Rasmodesmus reminded him. Leon was quite surprised by this. It was not until Maria arrived that Leon understood the reason.

"You're quite popular, kid. Many people tried to get information about you from me, but I scared them all off. Is that how you want to thank me?"

"Then I can only thank Aunt Maria. I'll get you whatever you want to eat." Leon said to Maria with a smile. He had a good impression of this lady.

"How about monster mud?" Maria said the name of the dish with a smirk on her face, which made Leon's stomach acid rise.

"You know that too?" Leon said to Maria with a wry smile.

"Well, after all, Triss and I have a pretty good relationship." Maria nodded. "But I didn't expect that she would remember this for so long. You are taking the blame for your grandfather."

"By the way, why don't you introduce this beautiful girl to me?"

"Abigail, my girlfriend, Abigail, this is Aunt Maria, one of my elders." Leon immediately pulled Abigail to explain to Maria.

"Hello, Aunt Maria." Abigail greeted Maria obediently.

"Well, you have good taste, much better than your grandfather. She is a good girl." Maria joked to Leon with a smile, then took out a vine bracelet from her body and handed it to Abigail.

"It's our first meeting, and this is a gift for you. It's a very interesting magic item. It's very useful for a wizard apprentice like you."

"Thank you, Aunt Maria." Abigail, who was a little embarrassed at first, took the bracelet and expressed her gratitude after noticing Leon's suggestive look reminding her to take it off.

"Remember to wear it always. It will release some pleasant smells, make your thinking more active, and repel mosquitoes. After all, summer is coming." Maria nodded and introduced the uses of the vine bracelet to Abigail.

"What about me, Aunt Maria, do I have a gift?" Leon asked shamelessly when he heard that the bracelet was peculiar.

"Of course, but hasn't it been given to you?" Maria complained.

"Ah?" Leon looked at Maria in confusion.

"Do you think you can buy so many good things with such a small amount of money? Especially the mini golden clock?" Maria reminded.

"Okay, I was greedy." Leon said with an awkward smile.

"I won't bother you anymore. After Triss finishes speaking, you and Rasmodes should go back early. The Elemental City is not safe at night these days." Maria seemed to have just come to say hello. After saying hello, she said goodbye to Leon and Abigail, and left a reminder.

"Is that aunt really your elder?" Abigail asked immediately after Maria left.

"No way, you're jealous of this too?" Leon complained when he heard Abigail.

"What are you talking about? I'm just curious." Abigail lightly hit Leon to express her dissatisfaction, and then added: "I saw the name of this Aunt Maria in the teacher's collection before. She wrote a book called "Outline of Alchemy", and the photo in the book is her. I just want to ask such a big shot, is she really your aunt?"

"Yes, her alchemy should be quite powerful." Thinking of the mini golden clock made by Maria, Leon sighed sincerely.

"Then do you have any other powerful elders?" Abigail pressed. "A hen." Leon spread his hands. He didn't really know many people. Most knew him because of his grandfather. Before they spoke, Leon had no idea if they had any connection to him.

"I now doubt whether you came to Stardew Valley to be a farmer just to experience life. To me, you look like a noble son of a wealthy family." Abigail sighed.

"If I were really a nobleman, I wouldn't have to get up early and work late on the farm. You've watched too many TV dramas." Leon tapped Abigail's forehead speechlessly and wiped the cream off her lips.

"If I hadn't met the teacher, we might not be in the same world in the future." Abigail couldn't help but sigh as she felt Leon's fingertips sliding across her lips and teeth.

"It's not that mysterious. I'm just an honest small farmer. If nothing unexpected happens, I will stay in Stardew Valley and Red Star Farm for the rest of my life." Seeing this, Leon couldn't help but stroke Abigail's head.

Perhaps it was what she saw and heard today that made her feel a clear disconnect with the worldview she had cultivated over the years, which led to her sigh. Leon could understand this.

After all, when he first traveled through time, he was quite anxious and worried. He was afraid that he was dreaming and that he was just an ordinary person.

Fortunately, real life and interpersonal interactions made him understand that everything he experienced was real. For example, Abigail, who he was holding now, was sweet and soft.

Feeling Leon's warm embrace, Abigail felt much more at ease.

The embracing couple did not attract much attention. Most of the guests in the banquet hall were chatting with people they knew about the theme of the banquet. Except for Leon, most of those who were able to get the invitation were very familiar with the city lord's character.

It was obvious that this was not a social banquet. Gathering the important figures in the Elemental City, it was obvious that there was something important that needed to be announced.

Sure enough, as Roche, who was responsible for checking the authenticity of the invitations at the door, entered the banquet hall, all the invited guests for the banquet had arrived. The lights in the banquet hall were turned on, and then on the second-floor observation deck on the south side of the hall, Triss coughed lightly, attracting everyone's attention.

Including Leon and Abigail.

"First of all, thank you all for coming. I know you all have a lot to do, but I'm very happy that you can still take the time to attend this banquet."

The first words he spoke were polite, but there wasn't much gratitude in them, more of a teasing tone.

However, no one present expressed dissatisfaction. They all clapped their hands and applauded to show their support for the city lord who did not look very tall.

Triss on the observation deck surveyed the scene and continued, "Perhaps you all learned through your own channels that the Bladehead Guild has captured the Lost Heart who infiltrated the Elemental City, and you think this commotion is over.

But what I want to say is that, based on my investigation, the Lost Heart killed by the Bladehead Guild was merely a believer. The one who actually infiltrated the Elemental City is still lurking within, secretly plotting some sort of conspiracy to disrupt the order of the Elemental City."

Having said that, Triss deliberately glanced at the old man who was standing with Roche, with a hunched back and a dying look. The old man also noticed Triss's gaze and lowered his head in embarrassment.

"So what I want to say is that from now on, Elemental City enters a level one combat readiness state. This is no longer just the Bladehead Guild's mission, but a threat to the entire Elemental City. If you still want to do business on our territory, then get moving! The combat readiness state will not be lifted until that rat hiding in the gutter is found."

I would like to thank the boss of Menglong Zhiyuan for the reward of 100 starting coins and the boss of I Am Right for the reward of 588 starting coins. Thank you bosses for your generosity and encouragement. I wish you bosses good health and prosperity. I love you all.
