Chapter 25 Jin Xueli's latest version now

Chapter 25 Jin Xueli's latest version now
Although the beginning of the story has been changed several times, the encounter between Jin Xueli and Anthony remains the same:

As summer was approaching, on a warm and restless night, she encountered a good-looking poisonous insect.

Of course, her eyes could not penetrate Anthony's smooth, beautiful skin and hair, could not see the twisted, dark juices deep in his brain - and when a person feels that he is getting everything he wants, he can be gentle, generous, attentive and considerate.

Especially when you just met.

"...That really scared me just now," Jin Xueli whispered to her friend. "He suddenly lost control and the car rammed straight into me. Luckily, I'm well-trained and have quick reactions, so I dove to the side in time... Otherwise, I'd be a human pancake stuck between the front of the car and the wall."

Amber took a deep breath. "So dangerous? Thanks to you going there so often—"

She suddenly stopped talking, glanced at Anthony next to her, and changed her words: "Thanks to you for going to the gym often."

Amber has short hair, a small round face, and a pair of elf-like ears that stick out from her straight short hair. She is as smart and clever as her appearance.

Jin Xueli often told her that it would be great if she also had a passage so that the two of them could adventure together in the nest - although she also knew that if Amber had a passage, she would be a hunter of the Morgan family, and the two of them would become potential competitors.

"You've narrowly escaped death. It's always good to exercise more."

Anthony didn't suspect anything and asked Jin Xueli about her well-being and expressed his concern. The fear on his face was so strong that it seemed as if he was the one who almost lost his life.

In just a minute or two, his emotions ranged from worry and relief to indignation. He went through a whole range of emotions: "How was that man driving? Was he drunk? He was standing there skeptically, not even offering an apology! The police will come to take my statement soon, and I must explain the situation in detail."

What later seemed fake was actually quite useful at the time. Jin Xueli smiled at him and said in a low voice, "He wasn't drunk driving... He must be a personal bodyguard. I just saw his gun."

"Bodyguard?" Amber glanced at him from the corner of her eye and immediately said "Oh!" "No wonder his hands were always pressed under his clothes... There was no one else in the car except him. Did the person he was protecting leave?"

"They left," Jin Xueli replied. "There was a convoy ahead of him, and when they saw his car had crashed, they immediately dispersed. I don't know what happened to his car, why it crashed into the door."

Anthony's face tightened slightly when he heard the word "gun." He hesitated, then reached out and grabbed the two women, pulling them behind the bar door, saying, "It doesn't hurt to be careful... What if he's not a bodyguard, but a psychopath? Should we go in?"

At that time, Jin Xueli felt that he was a very steady and cautious person.

"I'd like to stop here for a while," Amber said, glancing at the figure in the black suit behind the SUV. "I just like to join in the fun, do you guys mind?"

Anthony glanced at her and then looked at Jin Xueli.

Amber was not there to join in the fun, and Jin Xueli knew it very well.

Compared to the daily life of the Hunter family, something like a car crashing into a door was so boring that it wasn't even worth mentioning.

What's more, Amber's eyes were different from those of ordinary onlookers: there was a bright light in her eyes, which moved from the car to the people, as if she had used that light to grasp something from the noisy and chaotic scene.

Backed by a large hunter clan, Amber is well-informed. Matthew's Law also applies here: the more information a person knows, the better they know where to find it, and the better they know what is real "information."

Unfortunately, Jin Xueli couldn't ask her directly what she had discovered - there was Anthony next to her.

"Then I'll accompany you," she said.

Anthony showed no reluctance.

"The security situation in Blackmore City is getting worse and worse. Even the wealthy have probably noticed the change." He leaned against the wall and chatted with Jin Xueli. "We ordinary people can't afford bodyguards, so we have to be careful on our own... Especially a young and beautiful girl like you, you're an easy target."

With his intense gaze fixed on her face, Jin Xueli subconsciously straightened her hair and said with a smile, "I'm not afraid."

"It's safer to have a boyfriend," Anthony said. "Isn't your boyfriend coming with you today?"

“I’m single.”

Because she had a good impression of him, Jin Xueli didn't mind such an obvious temptation. After thinking for a moment, she added, "I can also take care of my own safety. For example, I have a small women's pistol at home, and a hunting knife that I bought specially from Europe."

Anthony was stunned.

He seemed to have something on his mind, but he held it in his mouth, weighing it on his tongue. While he was selecting and choosing his words, Amber gently pulled Jin Xueli and whispered, "He has a colleague here."

Jin Xueli looked through the crowd and saw a car that had just driven in. The driver got out of the car, wearing the same black suit, and hurriedly walked towards the bodyguard who had just crashed into the car.

No matter what the reason was that caused the bodyguard to crash the car, the danger had long since disappeared from his surroundings. Instead, he was replaced by onlookers, the bar manager with a worried look on his face, and the emergency medical personnel who had just arrived... At this time, the bodyguard finally relaxed and was sitting in the driver's seat with the door wide open. While answering questions from two policemen, he let the paramedics check his pupils.

"Dilango," the new guy in the black suit called out. "Evan?"

The bodyguard who had crashed the car looked up at the sound and saw the person coming. He was startled and put down the cotton towel that was pressing on the wound on his temple. "Why are you here?"

The second bodyguard, named Ivan, seemed to have less experience and a respectful demeanor. "Something went wrong here, and the boss wasn't sure about picking up the items, so he hired a lot of extra staff. Sister Mi was worried it would be inconvenient for you to go alone, so she sent me over to take care of it."

For some reason, his voice was a notch lower than most people's. Jin Xueli was certain that Amber, like her, had pricked up her ears and taken several steps forward to barely catch a glimpse of what he was saying.

Dylan didn't seem very enthusiastic or grateful for this reinforcement.

"I understand." He pressed the wound again, looking as if he didn't want to say more and wanted Ivan to shut up - perhaps because he was concerned about the presence of a policeman nearby.

"We're still open," a bartender called out from the back door, as if to remind customers to hurry back home and spend their money. "Don't worry, nothing's affected!"

"Let's go?" Anthony lowered his head and said to Jin Xueli very gently, "Let's go back and sit down and have a good chat. Let me buy you a drink."

Meeting Anthony tonight was truly unexpected; she immediately hesitated between the "bodyguard crash" and "male flirtation"—but Amber smiled at her, raised her chin toward the bar door, and said, "You go first. I'll tell you if there's anything fun later."

Jin Xueli had no choice but to tell her, "Then come in and find me later." After getting Amber's promise, she went into the bar with Anthony.

As she sat down, her thoughts flashed back to Ivan. He'd said, "Boss, take something," right? What? Could it have anything to do with Amber's interest in this matter?
But she didn't think too deeply about it, because Anthony was sitting beside her at this moment, a lock of hair slipping down, and the light in his eyes was faintly rippled in the shadow of his hair; as if she was a precious treasure that had been missed by the world somehow.

Later, Jin Xueli thought that no matter what the hunting target was, a hunter had to have some intuition - for example, she didn't think there was anything special about her clothes and appearance, but Anthony still picked her out from the many drinkers at a glance.

She is a hunter in the lair and a prey when she returns to the human world.

"What would you like to drink?" he asked.

"I hate drinking the most," Jin Xueli said this in the bar and couldn't help laughing.

Using "not drinking" as the topic, she started chatting and dating with Anthony.

Over the course of two or three months, they went from seeing each other occasionally to becoming closer and closer; after Anthony's first visit to her house, he almost became the most perfect boyfriend in the world - although this illusion did not last long.

It was not known how many times they met that the two of them talked about the black SUV that crashed into the back door of the bar in early May. Jin Xueli then remembered that she had not asked Amber what she had discovered that night - perhaps what happened that night was not worth mentioning in the end, so Amber did not think of telling her.

"By the way, I remember you said the other night that you had a hunting knife you bought specially from Europe." Anthony suddenly became interested and asked, "We also have hunting knives in China. Is there something special about the one you bought in Europe? Let me see it."

Jin Xueli immediately jumped up from the sofa, took out the hunting knife, and talked about the brand, craftsmanship and value; when she was happy, Anthony was also moved.

"I don't want your stuff," he said, still pretending to be shy. "Can you lend it to me for a while? I have a friend who collects knives, and I'd like to show him some."

Jin Xueli thought about it and decided that she wouldn't need to enter the lair again for the next three or two months. Even if she did, she had other weapons and tools. "Okay, bring it back to me when I need it."

…She slowly opened her eyes, and for a moment she couldn't tell whether it was her own body or the floor tiles of the exhibition hall that were stiff and cold; the two had almost become one.

Anthony later did not return the hunting knife.

Jin Xueli looked at the two lines of memory in her mind, feeling both bewildered and suddenly enlightened.

She turned her head silently, her gaze cast across the floor, catching sight of the enormous candle stretching across the exhibition hall...

And my own back sitting in front of the candle.

It turned out to be the case.

In the second historical version that was changed for unknown reasons, Anthony borrowed the hunting knife but never returned it; Jin Xueli did not bring the knife into the nest, so naturally she could not stab the hunting knife into the resident's throat.

Therefore, residents did not suffer the same injury on their throats...

So she survived.

Today, the May Day holiday is over, and I started my tossing again. I went out for most of the day, so the chapter is a little late... I am exhausted every day and just want to go home and have a good sleep...

Currently, this post is written on the ink screen! I bought it, returned it, and bought it again. I have already eliminated it to the third one. Can this one last 7 days without any reason? Let us wait and see... I returned the first two as soon as I got them.

(Okay, I can’t break the hyphen. Is this going to kill me?)
