Chapter 367 I Won't Laugh at You

Watching the two siblings fooling around, Madam Fu said, "Alright, aren't you afraid Yizhang will laugh at you?"

Kong Yizhang smiled and looked at them: "It's okay, it's not like it's the first time I've seen this."

These words made Fu Yanwan a little embarrassed. She glared at her fourth brother and said, "Hmph, since you didn't forget to come and see me today, I won't hold it against you."

Fu Yancheng smiled and said, "Alright, alright, my sister is very generous."

Fu Yanwan decided to stop while she was ahead: "Let's go, I'll take you to see where I live."

Kong Yizhang was very perceptive and went straight to the driver's seat: "I'll drive."

While telling her parents about what had happened since arriving at the farm, Fu Yanwan gave Kong Yizhang directions: "Brother Yizhang, turn right ahead, then go straight in, and you'll reach the second row."

When the car entered the educated youth settlement, those educated youth who had not gone to work due to illness or injury came out of their houses upon hearing the noise.

After the car came to a stop, Fu Yanwan got out and said, "Mom and Dad, we're here. I'll be staying in the last room in this row."

The house was a brick and tile structure, but it was built very low to save on materials. Also, each room was not very big. Six educated youths lived in one room, which was really crowded.

Seeing that his daughter didn't complain to them, Mr. Fu couldn't help but look at her with higher regard. It seemed that she had grown up a lot since leaving her parents and was no longer that spoiled brat.

But for some reason, Mr. Fu felt quite uncomfortable.

After all, they had been a couple who had lived together for most of their lives. Fu's mother glanced at him sideways and said, "Why are you not used to your daughter not snuggling up to you, acting cute, or complaining?"

His wife saw through his lie, and Mr. Fu coughed lightly and said in a low voice, "No way, don't talk nonsense."

Mother Fu laughed and said, "I won't laugh at you."

Fu's father turned to look at him, his eyes full of accusation: "Aren't you laughing at me? What are you doing now?"
Fu Yanwan pointed to a bunk in the room: "Mom and Dad, I'll stay there." The room was really small. Fu Yancheng and Kong Yizhang only glanced at the door and did not go in. After all, this was a dormitory for female educated youth.

Seeing that his younger sister was still talking non-stop, Fu Yancheng gestured for Kong Yizhang to follow, and the two of them walked towards the car.

He took out the things he had prepared for his younger sister in advance, and also took some tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and a large watermelon from the vegetables and fruits given by the Liu family.

Kong Yizhang picked up the watermelon and said, "You carry the rest."

Fu Yancheng found a net bag in front of him, stuffed the tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons into it, then closed the car door and followed after them with the things in his hand.

Fu Yanwan had finished speaking when she saw what they had brought over: "What a huge watermelon! Where did it come from?"

Mother Fu smiled and replied, "These were grown by your fourth sister-in-law's family; they're very sweet."

Fu Yanwan then saw the fruits in her fourth brother's hands: "You went to propose marriage today, why did you bring so many things from them?"

Then he muttered to himself, "Aren't you afraid that people will have a bad impression of our family and won't want to marry their daughter to my fourth brother?"

Apart from Fu's mother, the other three had excellent hearing and naturally heard her muttering.

Fu Yancheng handed her the things: "Alright, just take them. Don't be fooled by how ordinary they are; you'll understand once you try them."

Fu Yanwan took the things and heard her mother say, "The things in the bag are what I prepared for you. There are two cans of malted milk powder inside. Keep one for yourself and send the other to your second sister-in-law."

Upon hearing this, Fu Yanwan exploded: "No way! Once it's in my hands, it's mine. Last time you asked them to bring me some preserved fish, and they didn't give it to me either."
