Chapter 10 The fried food shop owner murders and hides the body

Inside the red BMW.

The mouse couple sat in the passenger seat, sniffing the aroma of fried chicken wings.

"Where did you see that old geezer blow up his wife?" Jiang Yuan asked with a serious expression.

Mrs. Mouse turned to her and said, "Human, we saw it at that old stinky man's shop the other day. He cut his wife into several pieces."

Mr. Mouse chimed in, "Yes, yes, yes, his wife's head is still frozen in the freezer!"

"And that old jerk usually yells and tries to kill us rats whenever he sees us, but that day, for the first time ever, he didn't chase us away and even fed us his wife's flesh," Mrs. Rat added.

Mr. Mouse exclaimed excitedly, "How dare we eat this? That old scoundrel might have poisoned it!"

This Mr. Mouse is indeed very cautious.

Jiang Yuan then asked, "Do you know why he treats his wife like that?"

Mrs. Mouse recalled, "It seems that the old man wanted to give money to his brother's son to buy a house, but his wife disagreed, and the two of them started arguing. The old man happened to have a knife in his hand, and he suddenly swung it at his wife, and blood splattered all over me!"

"That's outrageous! I would never treat my wife like that!" Mr. Mouse seized the opportunity to declare his loyalty, "If my wife says one, I never say two! In the world, my wife is the greatest!"

"You rascal, you're making me blush!" Mrs. Mouse punched Mr. Mouse.

Jiang Yuan: "..."

If you live long enough, you can even see mice showing affection.

She thought for a moment and then asked, "By the way, you said he put his wife in the oil to fry, what did he do with her after that?"

Mrs. Mouse: "Take it and sell it!"

Mr. Mouse: "Yes, maybe his wife is in here."

Jiang Yuan: "..."

Her gaze fell on the bag of fried food, her brows furrowing: "Then you shouldn't eat it. I'll go buy some more from somewhere else."

The mouse couple agreed.

Jiang Yuan bought other food as a thank you gift for the mouse couple's information, and then drove to Happy Home.

She called Jiang Die in advance to ask her to come to the entrance of the residential area.

Jiang Yuan parked the car in front of Jiang Die and got out, carrying the things she bought for Zhan Zhan and Mo Mo.

"Yuan Yuan, why did you buy so much?" Jiang Die looked at her helplessly. "Don't waste money."

“This isn’t a waste,” Jiang Yuan said with a smile. “Sister, you can take it upstairs. I have things to do. I’ll come visit you guys another day.”

Jiang Die took the bags and packages from her and gently advised, "Don't buy so much next time you come. Keep the money for yourself."

"It's okay, let's spend the money together." Jiang Yuan waved to her, "Go on upstairs."

"I'll watch you go," Jiang Die instructed. "Drive carefully and be safe."

Jiang Yuan nodded: "Okay, I'm leaving, sis."

As the car drove away, she saw Jiang Die still standing in the same spot in the rearview mirror, and feelings of self-blame and guilt surged in her heart.

She gripped the steering wheel tightly, silently thinking that she must be good to Jiang Die.

Half an hour later, the red BMW stopped in front of the police station near Lao Wang's fried food shop.

Jiang Yuan carried the bag of fried food inside.

During lunchtime, there was only one police officer on duty in the case handling reception area, a young man.

He looked at Jiang Yuan and asked, "Is something the matter?"

Jiang Yuan handed over the bag of fried food, her expression solemn: "Hello, I want to report a crime."

**
"Ms. Jiang, please come with me." The police officer on duty led Jiang Yuan to the interrogation room.

Just as Jiang Yuan sat down, two policemen entered through the door. One of them was tall and upright, exuding righteousness. He was handsome, with a buzz cut, deep and strong facial features, and bright and sharp eyes like black crystals.

"Ms. Jiang," the on-duty police officer introduced, "this is the captain of our criminal investigation team. He has a few questions for you."

Jiang Yuan nodded: "Okay."

Si Heng sat down opposite her, his thin lips slightly moving as he slowly said, "Miss Jiang, you said the owner of Old Wang's Fried Food Shop committed murder and hid the body?" Jiang Yuan: "Yes."

Si Heng: "How did you find out?"

Jiang Yuan had already prepared her explanation on the way there: "I asked to use the restroom when I went shopping today, and I found out by accident."

As she spoke, Si Heng's gaze fell upon her, focused and sharp.

Jiang Yuan pursed her lips slightly and continued, "At the time, his freezer door was stuck, and I was thinking of helping to close it tightly. I didn't expect to see a human head."

"Is there only one human head in the refrigerator?" Si Heng asked.

Jiang Yuan frowned. "I don't know. I didn't dare to look closely, and I suspect there's something wrong with the fried meat he's selling."

Si Heng looked at the bag beside her.

“You can have it tested. If the composition of this meat is incorrect, then it’s possible…” Jiang Yuan didn’t finish her sentence.

Si Heng asked calmly, "Are you suspecting that the fried meat he sells contains human flesh?"

Jiang Yuan nodded: "Mm."

Si Heng was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "Understood."

The police officer taking a statement printed out the statement and handed it to Jiang Yuan.

Si Heng: "Sign after verification."

Jiang Yuan glanced at the contents of the transcript and was about to sign it when the man suddenly spoke.

"Ms. Jiang, making a false police report will be punished. Think it over before you sign."

Jiang Yuan opened her eyes and glanced at the other person before signing her name without hesitation.

I left the police station at 1:30 pm. The snow had stopped, but the sky was still overcast.

Jiang Yuan arrived at the food street again, parking her car ten meters away from Lao Wang's fried food shop.

On the second day of the New Year's Day holiday, the food street was bustling with activity, and there were even several people queuing in front of Lao Wang's Fried Food Shop.

Jiang Yuan watched this scene with a sense of unease.

How scared would these people be if they later found out that the meat they ate was not ordinary meat?
Jiang Yuan thought for a moment, then decisively pushed open the car door and got out.

She joined the queue at Lao Wang Fried Food Shop.

When Old Wang saw Jiang Yuan queuing up, he greeted her with a smile: "Beautiful lady, you're here to buy again! How is it? Isn't my fried meat delicious?"

"Hmm, it tastes good," Jiang Yuan replied indifferently.

She was soon in line to order.

Jiang Yuan said, "Boss, how much meat do you have left? I'll take it all."

Old Wang's eyes lit up, and he exclaimed in surprise, "Beautiful lady, are you kidding me? You want them all?"

“Yes,” Jiang Yuan said, “I’ll take as many as you want.”

Once he realized she wasn't joking, Old Wang was overjoyed. "There's plenty! Miss, you can pay a deposit of three thousand yuan first, and we'll settle the balance after the food is served."

“Okay.” Jiang Yuan quickly paid the deposit.

After receiving the money, Old Wang immediately said to the people in line behind him, "Sorry everyone, we're sold out for today."

Jiang Yuan heard the people in line behind her starting to complain, and some even blamed her.

"What's wrong with you? Just because you have money doesn't mean you're all that great."

"That's hilarious, buying so much meat, you could eat it all in your next life!"

Jiang Yuan listened quietly without saying a word.

Old Wang laughed at the complaining customer and said, "Oh well, there's nothing I can do. My fried meat is just too popular. Please come back earlier next time!"

After saying that, he looked at Jiang Yuan and asked, "Beautiful lady, are you going to wait here, or come back later to pick it up?"
