Chapter 200 Supervision
Jill suddenly raised her gun and aimed it at the corner of the alley. Mu Xiang casually broke off half a tile from the wall and threw it over... After the sound of it cutting through the air, there was a muffled thud of a body falling to the ground.

When Jill saw what was behind the corner, she gasped and turned to look at Mu Xiang.

The zombie that arrived smelled meat, but before it could even show itself around the corner, its head was split open by a flying piece of tile.

Carlos was taken aback when Mu Xiang made his move, and after looking back for a while, his pupils contracted... He forced a smile: "Buddy, you're really..."

Mu Xiang shrugged: "Isn't it strange? We have to thank Umbrella Corporation for this."

Carlos couldn't help but be overjoyed: "You were sent by the company too? Now everyone in the shelter is saved!"

Mu Xiang gave a cold smile: "Perhaps... but we're not helping the company."

"The company's mission for you is to rescue citizens?" Mu Xiang didn't answer Carlos's question, but instead asked a question in return.

"Yeah...what's wrong?" Carlos asked, puzzled.

Jill silently observed Carlos's reaction. She had initially thought that the group from UBCS were just henchmen... but now, judging from the reaction of this man who called himself Carlos, he seemed to know absolutely nothing about the inside story.

Mu Xiang pushed up his glasses: "Before we set off, did you have any information about this kind of monster?"

“The veterans in the team did mention some things… but they were all talking about strange animals. We don’t have any information about these things!” Carlos cursed. “If we had such information, would we have suffered such losses?”

Carlos shook his head bitterly: "These bastards... how could we possibly have seen them? Whenever one of them appears, we have no choice but to run, and those who stay behind to cover our retreat never come back."

“It seems you can be trusted… According to company policy, rescue teams like yours should be equipped with a supervisor, but I don’t know if that guy is dead or not.” Mu Xiang patted Carlos’s shoulder reassuringly. “I know you still have many questions, but let’s take us to the shelter first.”

Carlos was still asking the supervisor a question, but his hand was already pointing in the direction they should go.

He wasn't shy at all, and walked alongside Mu Xiang at the front of the group, leading them toward the shelter.

“Several of us were originally employees of Umbrella Corporation, and this officer is investigating Umbrella Corporation… You can consider us witnesses. Supervise whether our rescue efforts are proactive?”

"I'll monitor your combat progress," Mu Xiang said calmly.

"Isn't that just a test of how well we handle the rescue?" Carlos sighed. "Let me tell you, don't assume that everyone wearing this uniform is a good guy. I've seen plenty of slackers on missions, all of them just going through the motions and not putting in any real effort, not even able to rescue a person properly... Oh, and some of them were even poached directly from prison. Without supervision, how can they possibly succeed?"

"Combat situation," Mu Xiang repeated.

Carlos looked at Mu Xiang: "You mean, combat and rescue are different? But our combat mission is to rescue the victims of the biological and chemical leak."

Mu Xiang sneered: "Your combat situation with that thing is a point that needs to be recorded. In other words, the company knows what you will be facing, so why don't you have intelligence?"

Although this was Carlos's first mission with the Umbrella Corporation, he had extensive experience as a guerrilla and mercenary... His expression changed: "You mean, we're cannon fodder?"

Carlos fell silent again, and he began to think about some inconsistencies... Indeed, as the Umbrella Corporation's sphere of influence, how could the company be completely unaware of the appearance of such a monster in Raccoon City?
These pale giants in leather jackets couldn't possibly have grown out of the ground, could they?

Carlos shook his head with a wry smile: "It's not that I don't believe you, it's that I want to know more. I didn't lie to you about anything... I don't think you need to lie to me. Judging from your strength, you could have killed me long ago if you wanted to."

Just as Carlos was about to lead everyone around through the staff door, Mu Xiang reached out and touched the iron fence... Then, amidst the tooth-grinding mechanical squeezing sound, Mu Xiang lifted the iron fence above his head: "Is this all passable? No one should be taller than me when bending over."

“Brother, I’m even more curious now…” Carlos clicked his tongue, “And what’s your situation?”
