“Since eliminating the avatars can weaken Nyarlathotep’s main body, we can’t let this opportunity slip by…” Zheng Zha chuckled. “If these two don’t come out, fine, but if they do, they won’t be able to escape.”

Zhang Jie thought for a moment and then asked in his mind, "What should we do about Munoqua? According to my scan, it hasn't fully condensed yet, but it hasn't been destroyed either."

"It's alright. I'll admire it if it survives after I succeed." Mu Xiang smiled nonchalantly. "I'll leave the rest to you."

As soon as they finished speaking, Zheng Zha and Zhang Jie felt another violent tremor beneath their feet. Before they could even be surprised, something wriggled within the open doors of the temple, and two figures reappeared—Nyarlathotep's avatars, the Shadow of Evil and the Black Pharaoh.

At this moment, however, their situation was not good either. The face of the Disgusting Shadow was completely hidden under the black warrior armor, so nothing could be seen; but the Black Pharaoh's face, which had an eerie and alluring quality, turned gloomy.

Zhang Jie lit a cigarette and mocked, "Don't make that face. Your face is already dark, and if you keep making that face, I won't be able to find you."

"How could such a mortal thing possess such power!" the Black Pharaoh said coldly, then glanced at the disgusting shadow. "Stop worrying about the cost and unleash your full power, or we'll all be reshaped when we get back!"

The armored warrior remained noncommittal, then reached into the air and produced two black samurai swords, instantly locking onto Zheng Zha with a sinister and violent aura.

Zheng Zha, inside the Asura Battle Body, chuckled coldly. These two guys had been cheating all along, which had made him furious. Since they were going to get serious, he would play along to the end!

A tangible darkness overflowed from the open gate, neither invading Zheng Zha and Zhang Jie, nor connecting with the Evil Shadow or the Black Pharaoh, but flowing out like a black tide, surging rapidly in another direction. Within the temple, there seemed to be an incomparably gigantic being writhing; if one's will was not strong, a single glance would likely cause one to collapse and sink into fear and ecstasy.

Every wisp of darkness is part of its formless body, and it itself... is the abyss peering at this world.

At the end of the surging black tide, the only light in the dark sky appeared. A blinding golden light was firmly fixed on the black moon; though tiny, it dispelled all the surrounding darkness. The moon, which had originally faced the dreamscape with its dark side like a ferocious maw or a cold eye, finally revealed a glimpse of its normal appearance.

The creatures that had been gazing at the black moon in their dreamlike state were all awakened at this moment. Although the degree to which they were affected varied, they all managed to escape with their lives. From the dark aura that permeated the sky, countless Shatak birds appeared, as if they were agents of chaos and darkness. However, before they could roar across the sky once more, Nightmares, full of fighting spirit, charged up and engaged them in a deadly battle.

"Nodens's Nightmare army... is quite impressive." Mu Xiang smiled, then looked at the dark tide surging in from the distant horizon.

He naturally knew the purpose of these things: to exclude his power. The moon outside the Dream Realm was naturally different from the moon in the real world; it was more like a smaller plane, fundamentally inferior to the Dream Realm, and both were part of the entire "Trembling Black Hole" plane. Within the core of the Dream Realm, it also played a relatively important role.

The Abyss's intention is simply to tear open another rift on the Moon while launching its attack at the connection point. Occasionally, some blind Shatak birds would emerge from the darkness, but even Mu Xiang couldn't see them before they were swallowed up by the expanding golden light. A brilliant, blazing golden sun appeared in the eastern sky, dispelling the endless darkness and obscuring the gloomy moon.

Mu Xiang exerted force with both hands and let out a low shout. The moon's downward momentum finally stopped, and then it was swept up by the enormous force and rose again into the sky.
