Infinite Terror: Infinite Reversal

Chapter 58 Final Battle Against the Aliens

Chapter 58 Final Battle Against the Aliens
Zhan Lan's exclamation came through the earpiece, but Mu Xiang seemed not to hear it.

While he was still in the air, he saw a thick, enormous object being flung towards him from the darkness.

By slightly shifting his body, the most direct force of the swing missed Mu Xiang. He raised his left forearm to block, but was immediately deflected.

"Depend on!"

Mu Xiang hurled a spiral spike. He and the Queen were both in the air and could only make such a simple attack. Now was the perfect opportunity!

This swing was even more powerful than before. Mu Xiang even incorporated some ripples into his strike while channeling his energy... but his mastery of ripples was far from being able to unleash a spiraling, piercing wave. This only made the force of his strike a few degrees stronger.

The spiral spike pierced into the massive black shadow, leaving only the queen's furious roar.

The aerial confrontation actually lasted only a breath or two, ending with Mu Xiang gaining the upper hand. At this point, both he and the Empress landed on the ground.

The Queen's seven- or eight-meter-tall body rose from the darkness, causing Mu Xiang to click his tongue in surprise. What had just struck Mu Xiang was its tail, which was even more imposing than those of other aliens, likely exceeding ten meters in length when fully extended, its segmented scales as sharp as knives.

Mu Xiang looked at his left arm; a layer of the exoskeleton armor there had been shaved off after the attack. This exoskeleton armor had been almost undamaged before, but now it seemed that after defeating the Alien Queen, it was beyond saving.

The moment his left arm was struck, he felt a sharp pain that hit right into his arm bone… Keep in mind that his muscle strength is more than eight times that of an average person; for him to feel internal pain indicates that the blow was extremely powerful. If it had been any other person in the team, it probably wouldn't have been just a fleeting pain.

For example, in the original story, Zheng Zha was disemboweled in a single encounter...

But before he could think any further, Mu Xiang flicked his right wrist across his left wrist and unleashed the high-frequency cutting blade, confronting the Empress from twenty meters away.

The others joined the battle, and Zheng Zha threw out a high-powered flare, illuminating the scene in the center of the battlefield. As soon as the light came on, those with guns immediately opened fire on the massive figure in the center of the battlefield.

The Alien Queen, however, calmly straightened up and, to everyone's astonishment, tore off the ovipositor that connected her lower body.

Mu Xiang heard Zhang Jie curse "Fuck disgusting" through his earpiece, but the sound was quickly drowned out by the roar of gunfire.

However, the M41A and M56 bullets seemed to have no effect on this behemoth as before. Caseless bullets could not penetrate the Queen's outer shell at all, and only exploded on the outside without causing any damage.

"Zheng Zha!" Mu Xiang roared, and with a single step, he sprang forward. Only Zheng Zha could barely see his movements.

The Queen swung her claw at Mu Xiang. Although Mu Xiang was wearing an exoskeleton armor and appeared slightly stronger, he still looked extremely small in front of the Queen... This casual claw met Mu Xiang's powerful slash, and with a crisp sound, one of the Queen's claws was chopped off, but that was the end of it.

No matter how sharp a high-frequency cutting knife is, it still needs to operate within its own vibration frequency... and this strike only managed to cut off one claw before being stopped by the Queen's immense strength.

While Mu Xiang was still in the air, he saw the Empress swing her tail and lash straight at his chest. He immediately swung his sword back to the middle and deftly deflected the attack.

The sound was extremely loud, and Mu Xiang's knife almost flew out of his hand. However, his strength was astonishing, and he gripped the knife tightly, blocking the blow to his chest. The tip of the tail struck Mu Xiang's right shoulder, and he cursed as he was sent flying, only managing to regain his footing ten meters away.

The moment Mu Xiang jumped up and swung his sword, Zheng Zha unlocked his genetic lock. For some reason, ever since he unlocked his genetic lock, he had a kind of enlightenment about this unheard-of thing... It was as if unlocking the genetic lock was an innate ability of his, and that mysterious state was as if it were his instinct!
Following Mu Xiang's example, Zheng Zha stomped hard, and despite wearing seemingly bulky power armor, he pounced at a considerable speed, grabbing one of the Alien Queen's legs. Then, deep, blood-red flames ignited on his body.

The queen roared and was about to turn around and strike with her claws, but as she turned, something seemed to get stuck in her way. This hesitation allowed Zheng Zha to dodge and, covered in red flames, crawl between the queen's legs.

What slowed the Empress down was the spiral thorn that Mu Xiang had previously plunged in. Although it had been completely corroded, the remaining part still hindered the Empress's ability to turn around.

Just as the Empress and Zheng Zha were locked in combat, Mu Xiang rushed back, his blade shimmering with ripples, and slashed at the Empress's other leg!

The Queen opened its mouth to let its tongue stick out, but Chu Xuan and Zero's firepower precisely hit its tongue, the caseless bullets blasting several bloody holes in it. The tongue's protection was far inferior to the Queen's exoskeleton, and after the caseless bullets, the Desert Eagle's bullets arrived, piercing straight into the wounds on its tongue.

The Queen hurriedly withdrew her tongue. Although Chu Xuan and Zero's shots did not completely disable its weapon, they did relieve the pressure on Mu Xiang and Zheng Zha. The tail that was originally going to pierce Zheng Zha lost its aim, and the left claw that slapped Mu Xiang only knocked him a few meters away.

"Surround it from the sidelines and concentrate your attacks on its already injured areas!" Mu Xiang shouted urgently into his earpiece, "The joint below its left leg and its waist and abdomen..." Before he could finish speaking, the Queen turned and charged at him.

Although Mu Xiang had a set of equipment that could be considered luxurious in the early stages, he would still be in trouble if he were to be bumped into or stepped on by the Empress. He quickly rolled over and got up.

Zheng Zha roared and grabbed the Queen's tail from behind, the red flames igniting the armor plates at the point of contact.

The Queen was now in a dilemma. If she swung Zheng Zha with all her might, she wouldn't have time to attack Mu Xiang. If she didn't swung him, the strange flames burning from his tail might actually harm him...

However, the Queen still rushed towards Mu Xiang, in its judgment that this human was the greatest threat to it! Zheng Zha was directly knocked down by it, sliding past it with friction.

"Zheng Zha, use it sparingly!" With Zheng Zha keeping him in check, Mu Xiang had more leeway. The Empress's momentary hesitation was enough for him.

At that moment, Mu Xiang jumped with all his might. He could jump seven or eight meters after his recent enhancement, and now he felt he had jumped a little higher, just enough for him to deliver the crucial blow...

The third spiral spike was launched into the air, piercing through the crown-like armor and embedding itself in the queen's skull!
While still in the air, Mu Xiangren stretched out his entire body, pouring all his strength into the knife in his hand, aiming to strike its head.

The queen clearly sensed the threat and was about to pull her head back into her crown when she was caught by the spiral spike. She had no choice but to raise her claw with the fury of her recent serious injury.

By this time, the wound on its left leg had been amplified by Chu Xuan and Zero's precise shooting, almost severing it. As a result, the massive body unnaturally sank to the lower left, and the claw missed its mark.

But the instinct for hunting and survival made the queen suddenly exert force and shake off Zheng Zha. Her tail, which was more than ten meters long, was like a steel whip and a steel spear, and it stabbed straight at Mu Xiang!

This time, Mu Xiang finally couldn't dodge. He threw a spiral dagger, adjusted his position, and then delivered a final strike, pushing his control in mid-air to the limit. In the Queen's counterattack, where she traded injuries for injuries, Mu Xiang's strike severed a limb near the Queen's neck before being fatally stabbed himself.

The scene before him turned white, and the last thing Mu Xiang could do was to slash his tail with his backhand, then fly away with the tail tip still embedded in his body.

This strike was even more decisive and clean than he had expected, or rather, the tail was more fragile than he had anticipated... but he had to thank Zheng Zha's red flames for that.

Upon seeing Mu Xiang being stabbed and sent flying, Zheng Zha roared in fury, his hand igniting with red flames as he plunged it into the severed wound on the Empress's left leg.

The others aimed their fire at the wounds on its head and chest. The crown, which was originally the strongest protection, now became a target for their fire because of the large hole pierced in it. The queen had no choice but to turn around forcefully, twisting her head to expose its vital organs, and then sweep Zheng Zha away. However, its left leg was completely severed in the process.

The Queen roared and dragged her injured left leg toward Zhang Jie and the others, who were Zhang Jie and Ba Wang, the two gunners, and Zhan Lan, who was using a calming aura!
Without Mu Xiang's command, the Empress, who had lunged forward, was thrown back by an invisible force... This fire-resistant ring was also effective against it, suggesting that the Empress's physique was not yet immune to it.

Hearing all this, Mu Xiang gritted his teeth and looked at his abdomen in that brief moment. The thick tail had completely pierced through it, but fortunately, his spine was unharmed. Even his B-grade enhanced body and exoskeleton armor couldn't withstand this piercing... The Queen really knows how to hit the nail on the head.

He couldn't be bothered to check which of his internal organs had been damaged; it was irrelevant to the battle situation... he still had to go back into action.

Mu Xiang silently pulled out the tail and then stuffed the slightly protruding intestines back in. The sudden pain made him even more alert, and seeing the Empress being flung away, he stood up as well.

Then he ran his right hand across the oath, and a dark green pill appeared in his hand. The pill emitted a foul stench; Mu Xiang had kept some lemon candy in his breast pocket because he was worried that putting it all in the oath would cause it to smell bad.

Mu Xiang opened the mask and forced himself to swallow the foul-smelling pill.

Ginseng, known as "jabrūh" in Persian, is highly poisonous and can induce sleep and anesthesia. This processed ginseng pill has the ability to temporarily reduce bodily sensations, especially pain. It's a remarkably inexpensive pill, but it can be extremely effective in life-threatening situations.

The excruciating pain in his abdomen vanished in an instant, and Mu Xiang leaped up, chasing after the direction in which the Empress had landed.

The Queen fell to the ground in an awkward position, and when she tried to get up, she was not as agile as before. Clearly, several key injuries on her body were affecting the performance of her massive frame.

Zheng Zha had been about to turn and chase after the Empress, but now that she had fallen back, it was exactly what he wanted. Although he was a bit slower than Mu Xiang, he arrived at the Empress's side almost simultaneously.
