Chapter 10 The Academy is Destined to Be Great Because of Me

The appearance of the prefects put an end to the commotion. In order to maintain order, they did not have time to understand what had happened. They drove all the students back to their own compartments and did not allow them to go out at will.

But the atmosphere in the car still did not calm down, but became more and more heated.

Almost everyone was discussing in low voices what had just happened.

"That first-year student can actually use the Disarming Charm? And it's incredibly powerful! It's unbelievable!"

"Yeah! And he doesn't look afraid at all, not like a freshman at all. That aura is like a natural born Slytherin, so powerful! It will be even harder for us to win the House Cup in the future!"

"Screw Slytherin! Didn't you see his smile? How warm and confident! He's a natural leader, he belongs in Gryffindor!"

"Then I think Ravenclaw is also a possibility. After all, all the outstanding people come from there."

"He's so handsome! Why aren't we in the same carriage?"

In several carriages, there were arguments about which college Damon would go to and the screams of some young girls in love.

At this time, Damon was in the carriage.

The three petrified Malfoys had been pulled away, and Damon calmly sat back in his seat. The other three little ones had different expressions on their faces, but their faces were all red, as if they were about to suffocate.

Neville looked at Damon excitedly, shaking his hands up and down, as if he wanted to say something, but every time the thought came into his mind, his face would become redder and his voice would be stuck in his throat, unable to come out.

Harry also felt his throat itchy - he almost wanted to scream for joy!

Before he even officially started school, he'd already witnessed a spectacular wizard duel! Damon! It was hard to believe he was a freshman his own age!
Why is he so powerful? Isn't he an orphan like me? No one should have taught him magic.

He and Hermione looked at each other and saw curiosity and exploration in each other's eyes.

Finally, it was Hermione who spoke first.

"Damon, I have to say, I never thought that as freshmen we could achieve this."

There was a hint of unconcealable admiration in her voice, but also a hint of confusion. "How did you do it? What did you study before Hogwarts?"

Harry also came over, with curiosity shining in his eyes:
"Yeah, Damon, you don't look like someone who has just started learning magic. You are obviously the same age as us, why is your magic so powerful?"

Damon had just stuffed a chocolate frog into his mouth and was chewing it. Looking at the admiring eyes on the faces of the three "children", he shook his head and said:

"I taught myself. I should have some talent in Charms."

"Just a little?" Hermione interrupted him. After her surprise wore off, she began to feel unwilling to admit defeat. "Your talent for Charms is simply terrifying!"

"You know, Damon?" Harry said, "I didn't expect you to be so powerful. You've never put any pressure on me before, but the way you cast spells doesn't look like a freshman at all!"

He couldn't help but asked excitedly:
"Can everyone learn those advanced spells? If I want to be as powerful as you, where should I start?"

Can everyone learn it? Expelliarmus is your trump card.

Damon smiled and patted Harry on the shoulder:

"You'll learn it slowly after you start school."

"it is good!"

Harry's eyes lit up as he sat back down in excitement, while Neville's face was still as red as liver, but he still couldn't utter a word. Harry didn't notice Neville's situation, as he recalled the scene of Damon casting a spell to defeat the senior students, and couldn't help but continue:

"I just heard them say you were going to Slytherin? What does that mean, Hermione, do you know?"

"Oh, of course I know. Wait a minute." Hermione turned around and took out a copy of the Hogwarts Admission Guide from her schoolbag and opened a page:
"Actually, I've read some introductions to the colleges in books. Slytherin is one of the four colleges, primarily characterized by its powerful magical bloodline. Students in this college value intelligence, resources, and magical abilities, especially those with strong ambitions."

She paused and continued:

"But I've also read that Slytherins can sometimes seem a bit too cocky. Legend has it that they don't always get along with students from other houses."

"Yes, for example, Draco Malfoy just now is a Slytherin through and through."

Harry frowned at that. "So, you're saying that if Damon went to Slytherin, he would be a good fit? That's weird. We haven't even been sorted yet."

Deep down, Harry didn't want Damon to go to a house represented by Malfoy.

Hermione then continued:

While Slytherin students can be a bit arrogant and cold at times, not all of them are like Malfoy.

In fact, Slytherin has many very smart and ambitious students, some of whom have even achieved great success in the wizarding world."

She looked at Damon and softened her tone slightly:

"I think if Damon goes to Slytherin, he might adapt better to the environment there, especially since they focus on strategy and intelligence."

Harry frowned even more after hearing this:

"You mean, if Damon goes to Slytherin, he'll get along well with the students there?"

"Maybe." Hermione herself was a little unsure.

"Don't worry, I won't go to Slytherin, absolutely not."

Seeing the three little ones so distressed, as if going to Slytherin was the best choice they had to make, Damon couldn't help but smile.

The three people's eyes lit up again, and Neville finally mustered up the courage to say his first words of the day:

"Damon, if it were you, which college would you want to go to?"

Harry pricked up his ears quietly. He had a hunch that he and Damon would become good friends at school. If this wasn't his hunch, he would also try to make friends with this guy. He was so cool! Wasn't he?

And if they were one college, it would be much more convenient.

Hermione also listed the characteristics of the remaining three colleges in one breath and looked at Damon.

Damon smiled lightly at this time:
"Actually, I don't really care which house I end up in."

He looked at the gradually falling red outside the window and said calmly:
"I just know that no matter which college I go to, this college will be great because of me."

Even Neville felt that Damon was a little arrogant at this time.

But for some reason, the three people in the car all had a confused yet firm feeling in their hearts - what he said was right.
