Chapter 27: Magical Limit
In a blink of an eye, Damon had been studying at Hogwarts for nearly two months, which also meant that a certain accumulation had once again reached its peak.

[As the master of the magic system, every breath you take represents abundant magic power]

[Every breath you take will earn you 0.085 magic points]

[Current system level: Level 8]

[Current magic level: Level 8]

[Current Magic Points: 62916]

[Note 1: The system level is mainly related to the magic level. As the system level increases, the host's breathing will have more powerful power!]

[Magic power required for upgrade: 120000/180000]

As early as a month ago, he had accumulated 40,000 magic points. After investing all of them, the magic system directly upgraded from level 7 to level 8. Now, it was time to upgrade again.

Damon went to the Room of Requirement and started to add some.

A magic power level of 9 means that he will officially be on par with Dumbledore in terms of total magic power. Although there is still a huge gap between the two in their understanding of spells and transfiguration, there is no guarantee that there will not be any changes.

As 60,000 magic points were invested into the system, the system interface changed again.

[Every breath you take will earn you 0.095 magic points]

[Current system level: Level 9]

[Current magic level: Level 9]

[Magic Power Required for Upgrade: 180000/Max]

[The host's current magic power has reached its maximum. It cannot be increased further until the host significantly improves their spellcasting skills.]

[Note: When your magic power increases again, you will become a new legend.]

"Is level 9 the maximum for now?" Damon raised his brows slightly. "Then the remaining magic points can only be used to improve talents?"

He calmly accepted this reality and calculated in his mind - according to his current breathing frequency, the number of points he could gain every day was 2736 points.

"Hmm, it takes a year to upgrade a talent to expert level? That's quite a long time."

Looking at the four expert-level skills that required one million magic points to upgrade to the next level, Damon decisively closed the system panel and ignored it.

Simply put, this system can be ignored for the time being.

On Halloween Eve, the early morning sunlight streamed into the room through the gaps in the curtains.

Damon woke up early as usual and washed up slowly in the sweet and tempting aroma of roasted pumpkin.

Beside him, Harry, Ron and others were half asleep, discussing the upcoming festival. Ever since Ron was severely scolded by Snape for being late for Potions class, no one in this dormitory would stay in bed anymore.

As Damon's performance in class became more and more outstanding, his four roommates became more diligent out of a sense of crisis and often had to act with him.

In the Charms class, Professor Flitwick began to teach everyone the Levitation Charm, which made Harry's thoughts slightly diverted.

Isn't the levitation spell the one Damon cast when he entered school? He said at the time that he would be able to learn it quickly after entering school - now it has been two months since the start of school, which is not fast at all.

"Now, don't forget that subtle wrist movement we've been practicing!" Professor Flitwick said, standing on his pile of books as usual. "Flick and shake. Remember, flick and shake."

“It’s also very important to pronounce the spell correctly – don’t forget the wizard Baruffio, who said 's' instead of 'f' and found himself lying on the floor with a bison on his chest.”

"Damon, can you set an example for us?"

Ever since Damon had completed Professor Flitwick's extra homework for a month in a row, he had started this routine - after each personal demonstration, Damon would demonstrate again.

The two had a serious discussion about this.

Damon felt that this behavior would bring unnecessary pressure to other young wizards, but Professor Flitwick told Damon seriously: "Excellence can be passed on. Let these young wizards continue to be influenced by outstanding peers, and they will become more outstanding unconsciously."

"Damon, this isn't about showing off, but a very important responsibility. You should light the way for them and let them know what truly outstanding wizards can achieve when they are the same age as them."

At that time, Damon wanted to think while drinking tea, but found that the tea in the cup was empty.

"Would you like some more?" Professor Flitwick used levitation to refill Damon's tea.

"If a young wizard is so frustrated that he wants to drop out of school, I won't care."

"I believe these children are not that fragile, Damon." Professor Flitwick's smile was gentle and bright.

Come to your senses.

At this moment, looking at the group of young wizards in front of him, Damon said softly but firmly:
Wingardium Leviosa

Then, the feather in front of his eyes began to rise slowly and evenly, finally reaching the ceiling in the eyes of everyone, and finally falling back to the ground at a uniform speed.

"Perfect and precise control, a textbook-level levitation spell!" Professor Flitwick clapped his hands as he stood on the pile of books. "Five points to Gryffindor for a textbook-level levitation spell!"

"Isn't five a bit too generous, Professor?"

"Don't worry. I heard Snape has been deducting your points recently." Professor Flitwick winked at Damon. "I can't let our dueling prince be disliked by other students because of the House Cup."

By the time Damon returned to his seat, Ron had already started swinging his staff with a red face - he couldn't wait to see his feathers behave like Damon.

"Wingardim Leviosa!" he shouted, waving his long arms like windmills.

"You're wrong," Hermione said bluntly, "It's Winga—Dim Leviosa. The 'ga' should be pronounced long and clearly."

"Since you're so clever, why don't you try it?" Ron shouted angrily.

Hermione rolled up her sleeves, waved her wand, and said, "Wingardium Leviosa!"

Their feather rose from the table and hovered four feet above their heads.

"Oh, well done!" Professor Flitwick shouted, waving his hands. "Look everyone, Miss Granger has succeeded!"

"Okay, stop looking at others, Neville, and focus on yourself."

"Yes, Damon!"

By the end of the get out of class, Ron was in a very bad mood. Coincidentally, Damon was once again kept by Professor Flitwick, so he could complain to Harry without restraint.

"No wonder everyone can't stand her," he told Harry as they trudged through the crowded corridors. "She's honestly a nightmare."

"Look, Damon is clearly countless times better than her, but he never acts as arrogant as her!"

Someone bumped into Harry and hurried past them.

It's Hermione.

Harry caught a glimpse of her face—and he was surprised to see that she was crying.

"I think she heard you."

"So what?" said Ron, but with a hint of unease. "She must have noticed she hasn't got any friends."

Harry knew that Ron was wrong, but he couldn't open his mouth to accuse him, so he could only say:

"You'd better not let Damon know. You know he doesn't like you slandering Hermione behind her back."

"I dare to say it to your face, how can it be considered as backbiting?"

Ron felt even more guilty, but he still kept his composure.

Hermione didn't show up for the next class, and remained missing for the rest of the afternoon.

As Harry and Ron walked downstairs to the dining room for the Halloween party, they overheard Patil telling her friend Lavender that Hermione was crying in the ladies' room and wouldn't let anyone comfort her.

Ron looked even more uncomfortable after hearing this.

However, a moment later, when they walked into the restaurant and saw the colorful Halloween decorations, they immediately forgot about Hermione.
