Hogwarts: Becoming the White Lord from Breathing
Chapter 71 I Believe We'll See Each Other Soon
Chapter 71 I Believe We'll See Each Other Soon
In the spacious and magnificent hall, Dumbledore gave a brief opening speech and began to announce the house cup scores that everyone was looking forward to.
"Now, as far as I know, we will first hold the Academy Cup awards ceremony. The specific scores for each academy are as follows:
Fourth place, Hufflepuff, 352 points; third place, Gryffindor, 382 points; Ravenclaw, 426 points, Slytherin, 472 points.
Thunderous cheers and stomping of feet erupted from the Slytherin table, and the other three houses had grim expressions - they might not care about the final victory of the House Cup, but none of them wanted to see Slytherin win.
Whispers spread across the hall, mixed with words like "Snape", "Old Bat", "Unfair", and "All the points Damon earned were deducted from him".
In the teacher's seat, Professor McGonagall glanced at Snape, obviously unhappy with his forced equalization of Damon's score. Professor Flitwick listened to the student's slander of Snape with a slight curl of his lips.
"Yes, yes, it is a good performance," said Dumbledore. "However, a recent incident must also be taken into account."
The Great Hall became very quiet, and the Slytherins' smiles faded a bit.
"Uh, uh," Dumbledore cleared his throat, "let me see,
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, these three have cracked the levels set by the four professors, demonstrating their erudition, courage, friendship, and wisdom, respectively. I want to give them all 50 points each!"
Harry and the other two had warm and excited expressions on their faces, but at the same time, they felt a little out of breath - except for the first two levels, they passed the last two levels by 'skipping classes'. No one knew what was going on in Damon's mind, as he actually made their performances when passing the levels look like the real thing?
"That means," Dumbledore had to shout over the thunderous cheers, as even the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs were celebrating Slytherin's sudden defeat, "that we need to make some small changes to the decor."
He clapped his hands, and immediately the green dangling ribbons turned bright red, and the silver ones turned gold.
The huge Slytherin snake disappeared, replaced by a majestic Gryffindor lion. Snape shook hands with Professor McGonagall and forced an awkward smile on his face.
Damon stood in the middle of the crowd, took the lead in picking up Harry and the other two, and threw them into the sky. During this process, many little witches quietly stuck to him with their faces flushed.
Damon noticed their actions, laughed and hugged them in his arms. All the witches began to scream. The witches who had been looking at these people with contempt from a distance were no longer reserved and began to squeeze into the inner circle without making a sound.
Amidst the hustle and bustle, in a dreamlike fairy tale scene, Damon's happiest first semester since his time travel ended.
After crossing the Black Lake again and boarding the Hogwarts Express, Damon returned to King's Cross Station.
"You must come over to our house this summer," said Ron. "All three of you - I'll send an owl for you."
"Thanks," said Harry, "I really needed something to look forward to."
They walked towards the entrance back to the Muggle world while chatting. In order not to attract the attention of Muggles, the three little ones were somewhat nervous.
After crossing the platform, Harry was quickly taken away by Uncle Vernon who came to pick him up, without even having time to say goodbye properly.
Damon frowned slightly as he looked at the Vernon family who were behaving rudely towards Harry.
"Damon, goodbye!"
Harry turned around at Vernon's accusation and raised his hands vigorously at Damon.
Damon didn't know what he was thinking about, his brows relaxed again, and he waved at him gently and said:
"Goodbye, Harry. I'm sure we'll see each other again soon."
Harry nodded happily after getting the response, and smiled happily as he imagined the scene of meeting Damon again at Ron's house in a few weeks.
"Goodbye! Damon!"
In the crowd, some Hogwarts students mustered up the courage to say goodbye to Damon, and he waved back one by one.
"You are Damon, right? My dear boy, you are so handsome!"
Damon turned his head and saw a woman wearing a ginger wool cardigan and with a few freckles on the tip of her nose, smiling at him.
"Hello, son. I'm Ron's mother. You've taken care of him at school." She smiled at Ron's protests. "It's been a busy year, hasn't it?" "It's been busy, but also very fulfilling. Thank you for the candy and sweater, Mrs. Weasley."
"Oh, that's nothing, dear."
Perhaps it was because Ron had praised Damon so lavishly in his letter—although he thought he had hidden it quite well.
Mrs. Weasley liked Damon so much that she actually invited him to her home on the spot.
"Thank you for your invitation, but I still have some things to do. I will take Harry with me later. I hope you don't mind."
Damon made an agreement with this respectable woman who could "tear apart" Death Eaters with her bare hands. From a distance, he saw Hermione quietly waving to him, saying "goodbye".
She seemed to be ashamed to appear too close to Damon in front of her parents, so she used this method.
After bidding farewell to his three close partners one after another, a professional manager in a well-fitting suit stood calmly behind Dimon.
"Boss, you have worked hard along the way. Please follow me."
"Ah."
Damon responded in a neutral tone, his face completely devoid of the previous gentleness, replaced by a look of indifference.
The two of them quickly left from the VIP channel and got directly into a Mercedes-Benz 600SEL. As they sat in the back seat, the driver started driving without saying a word.
In the car, manager Charles Clement had a serious expression, as if the person sitting in front of him was not a twelve-year-old boy, but a lion in his prime.
"Here is the gold you requested, weighing twenty kilograms."
"Yes, Not Bad."
Damon took the briefcase, opened it and took a look, then casually transferred the gold to his own briefcase - as long as he threw it into the space under the partition, the weight disappeared.
Clement took out a document two fingers thick and handed it to Damon.
"This is the approximate revenue of the twenty factories for the year. Under the Duke's care, production is running smoothly and overall revenue is good. However, in order to maintain relationships with all parties, we have lost some gold. In addition..."
Damon flipped through the documents and reached out to stop him:
"How's the cooperation with Granning Company going, which I asked you to do earlier?"
"It's already been done. As per your request, the Dursleys will host a banquet for you at their home. What time would you like to come?"
"Let's set it for the afternoon of July 31st. Oh, and please reserve me the world's largest cake that day."
"Yes." Clement paused for a moment and continued, "The Duke of Westminster wishes to see you again. His main request is that you provide another 'miracle medicine'."
"Just because he wants it, I have to give it to him?" Damon glanced at Clement. "I still have the potion, but I can't give it to him like this. Do you understand?"
"clear."
Clement responded expressionlessly, as if Damon's impolite answer really didn't make any difference to him.
Damon nodded and handed Clement a concentrated version of the Vitality Potion in a bottle. "My deal with the Duke is complete. I don't owe him anything."
"But since you're working for me, I won't treat you unfairly. This stuff can improve your health. Dilute it with water at a ratio of 1:100 and take 1 liter daily. Don't overdose. Of course, if you want to give this stuff to the Duke of Westminster, that's your business."
Clement's face trembled as he took the champagne-shaped bottle and silently put it in his arms, holding it carefully with his other hand.
"I understand. I'll keep the Duke in suspense for now. He's very patient and probably won't dare to turn against you for a few years."
