Hogwarts: Becoming the White Lord from Breathing

Chapter 88 Snape opens champagne in advance

Chapter 88 Snape opens champagne in advance
Only first-year students at Hogwarts enter the castle from the Black Lake.

After saying goodbye to Luna and the others, Damon walked towards Hogsmeade Station surrounded by a group of people.

On the dark, rain-washed street, there were about a hundred horseless carriages parked.

However, that was in front of people who had never seen death.

In Damon's vision, there were clearly skinny black Pegasus standing between the shafts. They had huge bat wings and dragon-head-like heads, their eyes were empty white, and their skin was close to their bones. They looked weird and domineering.

Daemon stepped forward, but before he could extend his hand, the Thestral in front of him lowered its head meekly. Unlike its ominous and ferocious appearance, this magical creature would be very loyal once tamed and would never leave its master.

"Not bad. I'll ask the principal for one sometime."

Damon's hand touched the cold, thin skin, and he watched the breath coming out of the Therius' nostrils condense into water vapor in the cold night air. He nodded with satisfaction and was about to climb into the carriage.

Suddenly, the Thestral snorted and nodded at Daemon, indicating that he could ride on it.

"Are you okay, Damon?"

Harry and the others followed him, confused as to why he suddenly reached out and touched the air.

"This is a Thestral, a magical creature that can only be seen by those who have witnessed death and understand its meaning. You cannot see it yet.

Of course, it’s best never to see it.”

Damon pointed at the air in front of him and explained to them, then got on his horse while they were still hesitant.

To Harry and the others, it looked as if he was sitting in mid-air.

"Oh my God, there is such a magical thing?"

Hermione's eyes lit up. Harry and Ron looked at the air in front of them with some envy, and reluctantly leaned forward to get into the moldy carriage.

Damon's figure of riding a horse in mid-air attracted the attention of many people. They sat in the carriage, looking at Damon floating in the air and whispering to each other.

The carriages were lined up in a row, creaking and shaking as they moved along the road.

They passed the tall stone pillars topped with winged boars that flanked the gate leading into the school grounds. Hogwarts Castle loomed closer, its towers appearing even darker against the darkness of the night sky, and now and then a window shone a fiery red light above their heads.

The carriage jingled as it stopped beside the stone steps leading to the oak gate. Daemon dismounted and quietly thanked the Thestral in front of him.

Harry and the others' mood quickly turned sour.

Snape.

He was standing in front of the gate, and after seeing Harry and Damon, his signature sarcastic smile appeared on his face again, which was very meaningful.

As Damon and the others passed by, Snape said:

"Damon, I told you to be careful and not fall into my hands, didn't I?"

Neville shrugged, and Hermione and the other two turned to look at Snape angrily - Damon had always spoken well of him, but he always repaid their kindness with hatred.

They really couldn't understand why Snape always targeted Damon and Harry?
"Oh? Have I fallen into your hands? How come I didn't know?"

Damon sneered, his eyes and brows showing a smile as he looked at Snape - he couldn't wait to see Snape's reaction after seeing the photo.

"I hope you can still look so relaxed at six o'clock on Friday night after school starts—oh, this is your detention time, don't forget."

Snape finished speaking and walked away with a raised lip. "Isolated? Why would he put you in isolation at the beginning of the term? Let's go find Professor McGonagall."

"No need. This is what Dumbledore and I agreed on in advance. Don't worry, Snape and I have important things to do."

Damon comforted Hermione, and Harry suddenly thought of something, "Have we not told Hermione about that yet?"

"What are you hiding from me?"

"It's nothing, that's all"

Harry turned to look at Damon, as if asking for his opinion.

"Oh, it's really nothing. Dumbledore accepted me as his disciple, but he didn't have time to teach me, so he asked Snape to teach me on his behalf."

"what!"

Hermione screamed at Damon's back, then suddenly turned her head to look at Harry and Ron. Her big eyes were wide open, looking silly and cute.

"I can't believe you're telling me something so important now?"

"Relax Hermione, we wanted to tell you. Mainly, we only found out about this at the end of summer vacation, right, Harry."

"That's right, Hermione. Didn't I tell you now? Look, this is Damon's own business. If he doesn't want to, we can't just keep saying it, right?"

"Hermione, I just haven't found the right time to tell you this. I can't just say to you in a haughty way that Dumbledore has accepted me as his apprentice. You see, he has no intention of teaching me, right?"

The three of them explained one after another. Hermione did not get angry, but said happily to Damon:
"I haven't even congratulated you yet. This is amazing, Damon! Dumbledore never took a disciple. You're the first in a hundred years!"

"What? He never accepted any disciples?"

Harry hadn't thought about this question. He thought Dumbledore had the habit of taking in disciples.

"Harry," Hermione said in a strong voice, "that's Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard of his time. He has so many things to do every day that we can't even imagine. How could he possibly have the time to take in a student as his apprentice?

The professors at Hogwarts can teach us more than enough."

"Okay, this is just a small agreement between Professor Dumbledore and me. If you keep emphasizing it here, I'll get goosebumps."

Damon quickened his pace. "Let's go check out the sorting of the first-year students. Which house do you think Luna and Ginny will be assigned to?"

"Of course Ginny will be Gryffindor! As for Luna, do you think she will join Gryffindor? After all—she looks quite... Never mind, I can't say."

"Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, I think she knows a lot, even though the knowledge is a bit weird."

The group sat in the hall and watched the entire sorting, and finally Luna went to Ravenclaw.

Thanks to Damon's intervention, Ron and Harry did not risk using the magic car to go to school this time, avoided serious punishment, and were in a very good mood.

When Ginny was sorted into Gryffindor, the two of them clapped their hands enthusiastically. Harry stared at Ginny's beautiful face, and some subtle thoughts came to his mind, but he quickly suppressed them.

That was Ron's sister, and the happiness in his heart was just out of concern for his good friend's sister.

In the new semester, he will focus all his energy on Quidditch and spells practice and has no time for romance.
