Chapter 124 Another World

Ron straightened his clothes and walked slowly towards the reception room.

The moment he pushed the door open, his eyes paused for a moment, then returned to normal.

Tracy was clearly dressed up today:

A light green silk long dress outlines her increasingly upright figure, and the fine silver embroidery on the hem depicts patterns of forests and stars.

Her long brown hair was fixed behind her head with a silver leaf hair accessory, and a few strands of hair hung naturally beside her ears, making her pretty face even more charming.

"Ron!" Seeing him come in, Tracy smiled a little embarrassedly and pursed her lips which were tinged with tender red.

"Long time no see, Trish."

Ron noticed the leopard girl, Li Yue, standing respectfully half a step behind her. He nodded slightly, then looked at Tracy:
"After not seeing you for such a long time, I thought you had forgotten me, your fellow countryman."

His tone was half teasing and half complaining, but it was obvious that he didn't mean to be really angry.

A trace of guilt flashed across Tracy's face, and she bit her lower lip.
"I..." She was speechless for a moment, then took a deep breath.

"I've been really busy lately, with so many things to deal with, so I haven't been able to visit you in person."

Ron waved his hand to indicate that she didn't need to worry too much and led the two of them to their seats.

Li Yue consciously stepped aside and continued his guard duty, his animal eyes always scanning the surrounding environment vigilantly.

Ailan silently brought the tea. When Tracy thanked her, she was obviously surprised by the tree spirit's humane behavior, but she quickly focused back on the conversation.

"I heard that you have already entered the wizard candidate sequence, and you are still a mid-level apprentice."

Tracy took a sip of tea, her tone mixed with sincere admiration and a hint of complexity:
"I have to say, your progress is amazing."

Ron picked up his teacup and looked at his fellow countryman calmly:

"Thanks to you, the potion orders you introduced provide a stable source of income, allowing me to focus on improving other aspects."

"Same here." Tracy smiled slightly: "Your potion has also helped me a lot..."

She paused suddenly, as if thinking about how to continue the topic.

"How have you been lately?" Ron raised his eyebrows, showing just the right amount of curiosity.

Tracy hesitated for a moment, then continued:

"I've been working with Professor Corinna on a bloodline stimulation experiment. This is the main reason why I've been so busy lately."

His eyes were immediately alight with interest, but he maintained a leisurely attitude on the surface.
"Bloodline stimulation experiment? Sounds interesting. Tell me about it."

As a [Bloodline Knight] who had just completed the bloodline activation ceremony, and a holder of Chimera bloodline with three consciousness cores to fill, any information related to the bloodline was extremely important to him.

"Yes." Tracy nodded, a hint of pride flashing in her eyes.
"Teacher Corinna is helping me stimulate the forest elf bloodline within me. Although it's still in the early stages and the results aren't huge, there are already some noticeable changes."

As she spoke, she subconsciously reached out and touched the tip of her ear. This small action drew Ron's attention to her ear.

It was no longer the completely round human earlobe, and the tip began to take on the sharp shape unique to elves.

Those eyes were no longer simply brown, but had a distinct emerald green hue, sparkling like gems under the school's unique magic crystal light.

Ron stared at these changes intently, with a strong sense of curiosity and imagination in his heart.

Tracy noticed his gaze and instead of avoiding it, she raised her chin slightly with a hint of boasting:
"How is it? Isn't it amazing?"

"It's really amazing." Ron nodded in agreement and then asked:

"Apart from the changes in appearance, are there any substantial improvements in abilities?"

Tracy's eyes lit up, and she was obviously expecting Ron to ask this question. She stood up and walked towards the row of potted plants by the window:
"Of course I do. Let me show you."

Her slender fingers gently touched one of the pots of newly sprouted seedlings, she closed her eyes, and her face became extremely focused.

A few seconds later, a faint green light extended from her fingertips to the seedling.

The plant then began to grow at a speed visible to the naked eye. The tender green stems grew taller, the new leaves stretched out, and even a few pale pink flower buds appeared.

"Nature affinity—one of the forest elves' signature abilities."

Tracy withdrew her hand, her face showing unconcealed pride, but then she became a little discouraged.
"But at the moment I can only affect small plants like herbs and flowers. I'm still a long way from being able to affect mature trees."

“That’s already pretty remarkable.”

Ron exclaimed in genuine admiration, especially considering the potential value of this ability for cultivating potion ingredients:
"The quality of the potion materials you grow in the future will definitely be much higher than those on the market."

As they were talking, a slight rustling sound caught their attention.

They all turned their heads to look at the source of the sound:
Ailan was walking slowly out of the sunny yard, the vines swaying gently at a strange frequency, as if responding to some silent call.

"Master." Ailan's leaves danced, forming words:

"I felt a strange sense of closeness... but at the same time an instinctive fear."

Tracy's eyes widened, obviously surprised that a tree spirit could write.

But this surprise only lasted for a moment and was immediately replaced by strong curiosity.

She couldn't help but move closer to Ailan, her gaze fixed on a treasure. "Is this... a tree spirit inspired by atavism? Ron, you actually have such an assistant!"

She approached Ailan cautiously, as if she were treating some extremely precious work of art, her eyes filled with envy:
"She is in a state of active activation, and her transformation has clearly reached a fairly advanced stage."

There was a hint of jealousy in Tracy's voice:

"You are truly lucky. A tree spirit that can revert to its ancestral roots and stimulate its deepest bloodline is almost impossible to find."

Ron smiled secretly in his heart. He was indeed "lucky", but the source of this luck was the seventy magic stone fragments from the Blake Alien Exchange, not some kind of lucky chance encounter.

"You seem to know a lot about dryads?" Ron raised his eyebrows.

"Forest elves and dryads are companion races."

Tracy's expression suddenly softened, as if she were discussing some distant family history:
"In ancient times, dryads were honored by the forest elves as 'Guardians of the Forest' and were their closest allies and friends."

She reached out to touch Ailan's vines, but hesitated, as if worried about offending this strange creature.

Ron nodded slightly: "It's okay."

With her master's permission, Ailan leaned slightly towards Tracy, allowing her to stroke her vines.

This movement is like a plant naturally leaning towards the sunlight, revealing an almost instinctive closeness.

"Magic... It's really magical." Tracy murmured to herself:
"Judging from her bloodline activity and transformation, her bloodline potential far exceeds that of ordinary tree spirits. It may come from a relatively pure ancient bloodline. You really found a treasure, Ron."

"Let's talk about your bloodline stimulation." He brought the topic back on track:
"What method did Teacher Corinna use? A special ritual? Or some kind of potion?"

When this was mentioned, Tracy's eyes lit up again:
"She gave me a special meditation method designed to work with the forest elf blood I already have in me."

She paused and lowered her voice:
"In fact, her goal is not only to activate the ordinary forest elf bloodline, but also to enable me to leap to a higher level - the moon elf bloodline."

When she mentioned the word "Moon Elf", Tracy's eyes sparkled with great yearning, like a middle school student talking about her dream school.

"Moon Elf?" Ron raised his eyebrows. This term had appeared several times in various ancient books he had consulted, but none of them described it in detail.

"The royal family that guards the Tree of Life."

Tracy explained, her tone full of reverence:
"More powerful than ordinary forest elves, they hold the secrets of life and moonlight and were once one of the most revered races in ancient times."

The longing in her eyes when she mentioned the Moon Elves was exactly the same as the desire in Andre's eyes when Ron talked about the Yangyan Dragon.

Obviously, for those who possess a trace of special blood, tracing and improving the bloodline is an instinctive desire.

"However." Tracy's expression became complicated, and her brows furrowed slightly.
"This special meditation method brings about a considerable amount of mental stress, much greater than that of ordinary users of advanced meditation methods..."

A hint of vigilance flashed in Ron's eyes, and Tracy continued:
"That's why I kept asking Beaver Moon to buy various mental protection potions."

At this point, she smiled a little embarrassedly:
"I recently heard that you can make special potions that can suppress mental pollution, which made me want to visit you even more."

Ron secretly breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that the other party was just acting out of normal needs and had not discovered his secret.

He responded lightly:
"Well, we have been researching relevant formulas recently, but the effect is limited. It can only provide temporary relief and cannot fundamentally solve the pollution problem."

Ailan had already served the two of them new tea and snacks before quietly stepping aside.

"So." Ron took a sip of tea and asked tentatively:
"How effective is bloodline stimulation with meditation and potions alone?"

Tracy's expression suddenly became complicated, with a mixture of anticipation, disappointment, and a hint of reluctance:
"To be honest, the progress has been much slower than expected."

She sighed softly, "Teacher Corina believes that a more powerful catalytic environment is needed to truly break through the shackles of bloodline."

She hesitated for a moment, as if considering whether to share the next part of the information, and finally raised her head and looked directly into Ron's eyes:

"Have you heard of the 'Bloodline Altar'?"

A strange and mysterious noun.

Although Ron had read a lot of information in the "Encyclopedia of Supernatural Bloodlines", he had never heard of this term.

He shook his head slowly: "No, what is it?"

Tracy looked around to make sure they were the only two people in the room (Ailan and Beaver Moon didn't count), then leaned forward, her voice unconsciously lowered:

"This is a secret that only those who have entered the wizard candidate sequence are qualified to know. Considering your current identity and status, I think I can tell you."

Ron's curiosity was thoroughly piqued, and he leaned forward slightly, glancing at the apprentice badge locked in the sealed box in the distance to ensure it wasn't being monitored.

"Do you know why Crystal Spire chose to establish the Black Mist School in this remote jungle?" Tracy asked.

"Because the extraordinary resources here are quite abundant?"

Ron guessed based on the information he had gathered: "And it's relatively remote, making it easier to maintain secrecy?"

"That's only part of the reason." Tracy shook her head.
"The main reason is that there is a crack here that leads to a foreign land, connecting to a mysterious place called the 'Bloodline Altar'."

Ron's pupils shrank slightly - another world!

As a time traveler, his understanding of this concept far exceeds that of ordinary people.

If there really is a stable rift to another world in the Black Mist Jungle, it would be an extremely valuable resource and opportunity.
