Chapter 151 Fallen Rally
Chapter 151 Fallen Rally
The interior of the cave was surprisingly spacious, with a flat floor.
The walls are inlaid with crystals that emit a faint green light, providing dim but sufficient illumination.
A peculiar aroma filled the air, a mixture of herbs and decaying creatures that was both calming and slightly nauseating.
"Let's see who's here?"
A hoarse voice echoed from the depths of the cave: "Yet another pathetic wretch abandoned by his school of thought?"
Oliver moved forward warily and finally saw the speaker clearly—a distorted figure sitting on a stone platform.
The figure resembled a human, but its entire body was covered in dark purple scales.
Its head has completely transformed into the shape of some kind of reptile, with its mouth extending out exaggeratedly to form a snout covered with sharp teeth.
"Welcome to the Land of Freedom, Oliver West."
The crawling humanoid laughed hoarsely:
"Looks like your 'awakening' isn't going very well. Half your face is deformed into that grotesque shape, it must have been incredibly painful, right?"
As he spoke, more figures gradually emerged from the shadows within the cave.
Some resemble normal human beings, while others have been deformed beyond recognition.
But they all have one thing in common: their eyes flash with an eerie red light, like burning branding marks.
Where is Cynthia?
Oliver asked directly, trying to ignore the other person's sarcasm.
The crawling humanoid let out a piercing laugh:
"Rushing to find your old flame? She's no good girl, always seducing our brothers and causing chaos."
"I'm asking you, where is she!"
Oliver's voice grew even harsher with anger, and the black liquid on his body began to ripple violently.
"Look at this grumpy little guy, trying to give orders as soon as he arrives?"
Another voice rang out, this time from a young woman who looked almost normal.
However, her eyes were split into compound eye structures like insects, shimmering with an eerie luster in the dim light.
"You bunch of deformed monsters, what right do you have to laugh at me?"
Oliver sneered:
"I've only just begun to awaken, and I'll soon be in control of this state, instead of becoming a slave to desires and instincts like you!"
A brief silence fell over the cave, followed by a burst of harsh laughter.
"Listen to what this new idiot is saying!" The crawling humanoid almost collapsed from laughter.
"He thought he could 'control' the awakening! Hahaha! Where did this pathetic wretch come from?"
"Poor guy, he doesn't realize he's completely finished."
The woman with compound eyes sneered:
“Everyone here used to think that way.”
"Awakening is not something you can control, you fool; it controls you."
The crawling humanoid wiped away the tears of laughter from the corners of its eyes:
"Your self-control is as fragile as a piece of paper in the face of full awakening."
Oliver looked around and saw at least a dozen awakened beings of various forms laughing at him.
Anger burned within him like a flame, but he forced himself to remain calm.
"It seems you need to be taught a lesson."
His gaze locked onto the crawling humanoid whose mockery was the most grating, and the next second, Oliver's body appeared in front of it like a ghost.
Before the crawling humanoid could even react, Oliver's tentacle eyeballs had already pierced his forehead.
"You dare?"
The crawling humanoid let out a painful scream, its whole body convulsed violently, and its scales began to fade rapidly.
All the laughter stopped abruptly, and the other awakened ones in the cave retreated, their faces showing shock and fear.
Oliver could feel his power being drawn from the other's, a new energy flowing into his body, bringing waves of intoxicating pleasure.
When he retracted his tentacles, the crawling humanoid had turned into a shriveled corpse.
All life energy was drained, and the purple scales turned into a lifeless gray.
"Why did you stop laughing?"
Oliver looked around, his voice filled with coldness, and the red light in his eyes was even brighter because of the absorption he had just received.
No one spoke; all the awakened ones remained vigilant, not daring to make any rash moves.
"clap clap"
A round of applause came from deep within the cave, followed by a familiar female voice:
"What a wonderful performance, Oliver."
With the sound, a completely naked female figure emerged from the shadows.
That was Cynthia, but the woman's appearance had completely changed.
Her skin had an unnatural sheen, and several tentacle-like appendages extended from various parts of her body, some of which even twisted in the air as if they had their own consciousness.
What's most disturbing is her lower body.
It had completely transformed into the form of some kind of mollusk, with mucus-dripping tentacles replacing legs, leaving a wet trail on the ground.
"It seems my little Oliver still has that much guts."
Cynthia's voice became unusually sweet, filled with a kind of morbid desire:
"He killed one of our brothers as soon as he arrived. How sexy."
Cynthia
Oliver stared at the completely distorted woman before him, a surge of emotions coursing through him. They had once been allies, exploring forbidden powers together, but now she was a complete stranger.
"What, are you scared by my new look?"
Cynthia giggled, her tentacles wriggling restlessly around her body:
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it quickly. In fact, this form has many advantages over the previous one."
As he spoke, a tentacle suggestively wrapped around Oliver's arm, causing him to shiver involuntarily.
The tentacles secrete a sticky substance that produces a slight numbing sensation and a peculiar sensory stimulation when it comes into contact with the skin.
"Are you fully awakened?" Oliver asked directly, trying to shift his attention away from the strange feeling.
“Of course,” Cynthia replied softly, her voice carrying a hint of satisfaction.
"A complete and thorough awakening. I no longer need to rely on collecting the emotions of those slaves to maintain my power. Now, I can draw nourishment directly from pleasure."
Her tentacles tightened their grip and began to spread towards Oliver's upper arm:
"And you? It looks like you just gave up halfway."
"I need more precise control."
Oliver broke free of the tentacles and took a step back:
“Cynthia, as we agreed, the Black Crystal of the Sin Domain is just the first step. True awakening needs to take place in the right place and under the right conditions.”
“Oh?” Cynthia raised an eyebrow:
"Are you still clinging to that foolish plan? Waiting for the Bloodline Altar to open?"
“This is the best solution,” Oliver said firmly.
"The spacetime rift at the Bloodline Altar can amplify the effects of awakening, granting us a purer form of power, rather than something like this."
He pointed to Cynthia's contorted body: "Slave to desire."
Cynthia wasn't angry; instead, she laughed even more wantonly.
"Look at you, still so serious and a perfectionist. Just like in the school, always wanting to control and master everything."
Her tentacles suddenly accelerated, completely entangling Oliver and dragging him in front of her:
"But do you know what? After full awakening, desire is no longer a shackle, but a liberation. When you are no longer bound by so-called morality and reason, you will discover unprecedented freedom."
Oliver tried to struggle, but Cynthia's strength far exceeded his expectations.
Although his deformed body was powerful, it still appeared somewhat vulnerable in front of the fully awakened Cynthia, after all, before her awakening, she was also a high-level apprentice at the same level as him.
"let me go."
He gritted his teeth and resisted, but his body involuntarily reacted to the touch of those tentacles.
"Stop resisting."
Cynthia's voice became even more alluring, and a tentacle gently brushed against his contorted cheek:
"Let me show you what true happiness is."
As the tentacles wrapped around her, her body began to secrete a viscous liquid.
The liquid emitted a strange fragrance, like a mixture of musk, rotting fruit, and some exotic flower.
The scent began to blur Oliver's consciousness, and an unprecedented desire surged within him.
"Damn it, no, I can't."
Oliver felt his willpower rapidly crumbling, and the black energy within him began to surge uncontrollably, responding to the alluring aura emanating from Cynthia.
"That's right, let desire and instinct take over everything."
Cynthia watched Oliver's struggle with satisfaction:
"Once you've tasted this feeling, you'll never want to go back to your old constraints."
The other awakened beings in the cave gathered in a circle, watching the scene with greedy eyes.
Some even began to entangle with each other, as if driven by some unseen force.
Their twisted bodies intertwined in the shadows, emitting all sorts of indescribable sounds.
"Now, let's have a party!"
Cynthia's voice whispered in Oliver's ear, each syllable like a hypnotic incantation:
"Forget those complicated plans, forget the bloodline altar, forget everything."
Under the combined effects of drugs and pheromones, Oliver's consciousness gradually succumbed.
The perfect, perpetually calm and composed image in my memory was shattered, replaced by a primal and pure desire.
He stopped resisting and let Cynthia's tentacles roam over his body, experiencing an unprecedented sense of pleasure.
Each touch felt like an electric current running through his body, making him tremble.
The voice of reason grew fainter and fainter, eventually being completely drowned out by the instinctive revelry.
In this frenzy, Oliver still tried to grasp the last shred of reason, remembering the goal he had fought for—true power, power beyond that of a formal wizard.
"Bloodline Altar"
Even as his consciousness blurred, Oliver struggled to maintain his last shred of awareness:
"I will achieve true awakening there."
"Say what you will, my little Oliver."
Cynthia chuckled softly, pressing her body completely against hers, and tentacles of various shapes and functions began to wriggle:
"But now, enjoy the present moment."
The cave was still dimly lit, and the groans and strange laughter of the awakened ones mingled together, forming a chaotic and decadent chorus.
………………
Meanwhile, flames soared into the sky in an open area in the central region of the school.
Marcus's twisted body was surrounded by raging flames, yet he still struggled to crawl forward.
Most of his body had been carbonized, with only his head and chest retaining a terrifying vitality.
The black blood vessels beneath his skin were clearly visible, like graffiti carved on coal, writhing as he struggled.
“Ron.”
His mouth opened and closed, uttering indistinct words, and black, viscous liquid spilled from the corner of his mouth, leaving a pungent scorch mark on the ground.
