Restart life
Chapter 93 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 93 Remarks on the launch
A few years ago, Lao Wang swore that if he ever wrote about urban life again, he would be a dog.
Wang Wang Wang!
The promise has been kept.
I dare not write so wildly, but I will try my best to write in an interesting way.
Everyone has different preferences, and no single book can please everyone.
When I started writing the book, I had 13 words in reserve. I even joked that I would release at least ten chapters after it was published.
But having not written urban novels for several years, I wasn't sure what the current situation was, so I specifically went to read a few popular books. So, when I was drafting this book, I aimed to write a romance novel, but after uploading it, I realized something was wrong.
Many readers have expressed that the pace is too slow, they don't want to read about daily life, and they are urging the author to make money quickly.
So, starting with the chapters about fixing the computer, I cut over 70,000 words from my draft. I had no choice; the readership data was changing too.
Later, some people said the plot about making private servers was enjoyable to read, while others said the plot about private servers was boring and had been overused. Others said the essay competition was enjoyable to write, while still others said the essay competition was too superficial.
Readers have different opinions, and Lao Wang tries his best to balance them.
Regarding the details in the book, some readers pointed out errors, which I am very grateful for and have corrected. However, I will not correct most of the errors pointed out by readers, because I have my own experience and I try my best to verify the information.
For example, some people say that the rice in Peking University's No. 1 canteen is very hard. The problem is that this was originally a complaint from Peking University students about the No. 1 canteen in 2004, and the original words were that the rice was as hard as bullets.
I'm saying Xie Yang's food in Hangzhou was worrying; please don't take offense if this offends anyone. It's because the food in Longdu is too heavily seasoned; the dishes from the Yangtze River Delta region taste like they're completely bland to the people of Longdu.
Urban stories are quite difficult to write, mainly because it's hard to let loose.
Furthermore, the chapters released weren't planned well. If they had been released through the essay contest, the word count and plot would have been suitable. The last few free chapters fall during the transition period of changing locations, which will definitely affect the initial subscription results. I've been speeding up the pace for these last few chapters, and to be honest, the rhythm has been a bit disrupted. But there's nothing I can do; continuing to write slice-of-life chapters would probably result in very poor subscriptions.
There was a blunder with the last book; the paid chapters were mistakenly made free when it was put on the shelves.
This book teaches a lesson.
It will be released promptly at midnight on May 1st, which is tonight, but there may be a delay of one or two minutes.
I'm asking for a first subscription and a monthly pass.
I've been saying I'd stockpile chapters for the past few days, but I still feel like I can't write the last two free chapters well. I've written and deleted, deleted and rewritten, wasting a lot of time.
I only have two chapters saved up right now. I should be able to post three chapters by midnight, and then write one or two more chapters during the day tomorrow.
That means five chapters will be updated on the first day of release.
Let's set the bonus chapter for the leader of the alliance as one chapter. I'm always behind on this, and I still owe the one from the last book.
I'm not even hoping for gold or silver anymore. With the economy downturn, nobody's money comes from thin air.
Thank you again to all my new and old readers for your support.
Thanks also to Winnie and Huya editors.
I bow my head and prostrate myself a hundred times!
