The protagonist of the story is named Cheng Nuo, who is a time traveler who returned from studying abroad. He was originally worried about his future, but unexpectedly got a job at Peking University and became a teacher in the Department of Mathematics.

In Peking University, which is full of masters, he still impressed the leaders of the mathematics department with his extraordinary memory and calculation ability.

The first place goes to the most accomplished, a clear arrangement in this era. Those very familiar masters are still vivid individuals, full of the fun of life.

I personally really like the author's description of Lu Xun selling fish. There is an obvious deliberate low-key mood, which embodies the author's respect for some masters.

The protagonist's character is very heartwarming. As one of the last batch of overseas students, he is grateful for the country's shaping of him, which is perfectly reflected between the lines. Conversely, when he sees people with even more miserable fates on the streets, he instantly extends a helping hand.

So, when I read this book, I tend to overlook the protagonist's earth-shattering calculations and calculations. It's also because he translated the latest foreign journals and organized domestic scholars to study the same problems, thereby promoting the advancement of domestic academic standards. When the author detailed these plot points that allow the protagonist to show his prowess in public, I noticed that many people did not respond enthusiastically.
