The protagonist is such a low-level synthetic human, a driver. During a transportation to Mars, he was almost hijacked, if it weren't for his excellent driving skills.

So he accidentally killed the fugitive, and was also imprisoned by the heroine. This is completely understandable considering their different identities. However, considering their different races, the synths are completely enslaved and cannot fight for even the slightest equal rights, only endless obligations.

Although the protagonist is a synth, he has his own ideas and some seemingly strange obsessions. He actually likes to watch seals pat their bellies and has thoughts and emotions. This is the most critical point that completely distinguishes him from other synths, and it is also the element that enables him to grow into an independent personality in the future.

Although the heroine looks a bit reckless and is a second-generation interstellar troublemaker, in fact, everyone can see her efforts at work, and she has a strong sense of responsibility. While protecting her teammates, she also hates evil, and her sense of belief and justice are quite overwhelming. Her efforts and achievements in combating evil forces are far beyond ordinary people, proving that she is not the most fundamental character who relies solely on family relationships to exist.

It's just that she sometimes fails to grasp the complexities of the situation and easily stirs up more trouble out of her impulsiveness. This is how the protagonist's charm and sense of responsibility are better displayed.

The two of them, facing such a complex interstellar situation, are as weak as two pitiful chickens, but they still rely on luck and responsibility to forge a path full of achievements. It is thrilling and gives people unlimited imagination, which is quite good.

However, this book does have a major flaw: the number of words is far too short, leaving it looking like a poorly written ending. Of course, the author certainly explained it, saying it was a natural ending. The fact that a sci-fi novel could have so many words without being overly tedious is itself truly admirable.
